Can't say enough about how great my recent experience has been with the staff at Koons Sterling Ford. The new car manager Matt was amazing to work with as well as Odir the product specialist. Adrian the finance manager made the purchase process quick and effortless. I highly recommend Koons Sterling Ford to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. I love my new Shelby Supercharged F150.Today - Nov 6 Odir was amazing in helping me with getting a recall on my new truck addressed and fixing a couple issues with my new Shelby.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the sales person I dealt with was helpful, informative and timely. This is the second purchase from this dealership in two years and it will absolutely be my last. The finance people I dealt with both times are pushy, rude and attempt to make you feel like an idiot if you don't purchase their extended warranty options which compared to other market values are complete garbage anyway. It is shameful they allow this to go on with so much competition with much better service elsewhere. I would strongly recommend against purchasing any vehicle from here at all. I was informed Koons is being bought out, so maybe there is a chance of improvement with new ownership.

Huge thank you to Patrick Young at Koons Ford for his 5 ⭐ service! We firt met Patrick in early October when he showed us the Mustang Mach-E and took it out for a spin. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about making the move on our first EV. We have to commend him for his patience as we made him wait until we closed on our new home before coming back to purchase the car. We are very happy with the new car and will love it even more once the charger is installed in our garage. We would highly recommend going to Koons and asking for Patrick if you are in the market for a new car. Thank you again Patrick!

I should've listened to the reviews, this place is full of sleazy salesmen and the manager encourages it all.This place has treated me so poorly from the moment I stepped in the door. I came in looking for a replacement after my car was totaled and the car salesman didn't even have the respect to ask me my name. When I told him my budget he almost didn't let me take a certain car for a test run, which is actually the car I ended up buying but it gets absolutely worse. There was a warning light on the dashboard and I was told that it was because of the tire pressure, comes to find out the wheel sensors were missing and I wasn't made aware. I saw a scratch on the car and asked the car salesman about it and he told me it was something that can just be 'wiped off', which was a lie! While coming back to get the tire sensors replaced after an hour of driving the salesman took it upon himself to drill holes in the front bumper of my car to put in a license plate without my permission. I now have damage to the front of the vehicle. I then asked to speak to the manager who told me to get plugs and color them with white out and stick it in my car. After asking them to do it they refused the service and instead brought it plugs that were poorly painted and didn't even fit the holes they drilled in my car. This is worthy of a lawsuit and I have definitely already spoken with my lawyer.

Thank you Koons Ford for making the purchase of my beautiful Mustang very pleasant and easy. I was spared all the usual stories and received courteous and professional treatment. Your salesperson Anthony Southern was excellent and the whole transaction was straightforward and clear. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a car. It was the easiest auto purchase I've ever made at a dealership. I will absolutely buy from you again and I recommend Anthony Southern to everyone. Top notch service and all their vehicles are high quality!

Hamza was my salesperson. He was very informative and did a good job getting me to the out-the-door price I needed to be at on my F150. Koons Ford gave me top dollar for my trade (site unseen). All of my negotiations were done via text and telephone. Hamza went out of his way to get the truck I wanted from the Baltimore dealership and have it detailed and ready for me to pick up the day I arrived. I drove 4 hours to get to Koons and everything was ready for me when I arrived. It was definitely worth the drive as Koons has the best prices around. Hats off to Hamza for getting me into my new F150.

Anthony Southern was my salesperson and did a great job!Wasn’t happy that Koons Sterling Ford refused to make a second key for my used car eve after charging me $899 for dealer processing. Seems the least they could do was make me a second key. Instead - the manager told me it would cost the dealership too much to make an additional key for every car and gave me a number to a guy that could make me one for a under $200.All in all - great experience and really appreciate Anthony and his service!

Terrible business practices, they try to tell you that a pre delivery inspection is just as good as a pre purchase inspection. I was told that they'd take the car I wanted for inspection if they had the time. After the car was inspected I was told that the salesman, Rick, would talk to the sales manager about fixing the issues that made the car I wanted dangerous to drive (bald tires, brakes rusted so bad the pads didn't make contact). No phone call, sold the car to someone else the next day (whoever bought a 2019 fusion hybrid on Wednesday 10/11/2023, you got screwed pretty badly). They don't let you put a deposit on a car or hold a car for ANY reason, they just want to sell the cars they have to people who will buy them without asking any questions for as much money as they can get out of them. I'm sure they'd be glad to have those people turn right around and come back to them for service on the broken car they just bought. This is not the Koons you think you know, the salesman told me there is new management and that's almost certainly the reason for all these terrible business practices. Any positive reviews from 2022 are people reviewing a different group of people, businesses shouldn't be able to have their rating propped up by the good work done by someone who came before them. I'd give them zero stars if I could. Don't buy a car here without getting a pre purchase inspection from an off site mechanic, or just don't buy a car here at all and hopefully businesses like these will no longer exist.

Avoid the service department at all costs. Horrible. They tried to up-charge me for an oil change, adding things I didn't need or want (luckily I realized and told them before they did it) and the loop on my key FOB that connects to my keychain broke (for both keys) and they told me I had to completely reprogram all new keys -- for over $500/each (even though the keys worked fine but the housing was broke). After they did the service, another guy in their department told me I could've ordered the housing on amazon for $15 and just swapped everything inside myself. The guy at the counter had horrible customer service too. Never going back!!

I have watched this vehicles price for a month it was $36500 before labor day then it shot up to 40k then 38k then last night it was listed at 34k when I inquired I was told the price is 37k ... False advertising buyer beware. Any reputable retailer would have to stand by their pricing call it a mistake if you would like. I call this bad business.

It's amazing to me how you can inquire about a vehicle online and get a call back within 60 seconds! However, if you call the service department or call this location in general, it takes hours or days to get a call back when you tell them, there's something wrong with your vehicle! Terrible customer service! I purchased a vehicle one year ago the vehicle has less than 36,000 miles and I've already had to replace the battery, the front and rear brakes and rotors, and now a blown head gasket!

I am submitting this complaint to the Better Business Bureau regarding my deeply unsatisfactory experience with Koons Ford Dealership, located in Sterling, VA. The chronology of events surrounding my vehicle purchase from this dealership has resulted in a significant negative impact on my financial and personal well-being.Event Summary:Vehicle Purchase: On June 26, 2023, I purchased a used 2022 F350 from Koons Ford Dealership. At this point, the transaction seemed routine.Vehicle Delivery: The vehicle was delivered to me on July 2, 2023, with the expectation that it was in good working condition.Vehicle Breakdown: A mere 19 days later, on July 21, 2023, my recently purchased vehicle inexplicably refused to start.Diagnostic Evaluation: I promptly had the vehicle towed to Bell Ford, where diagnostic assessments revealed DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) contamination in the fuel, a perplexing issue considering the short ownership duration and the fact that both DEF and fuel tanks were supplied full by Sterling Ford during delivery.Seeking a Second Opinion: To corroborate these findings, I arranged for the vehicle to be assessed by Chapman Ford. Their mechanics confirmed the DEF contamination but further uncovered that this contamination had infiltrated deep within the fuel system components, rather than being limited to the fuel itself.Communication with Koons Ford: In my effort to address this issue, I attempted to engage Koons Ford Dealership. General Manager Tre Hillerich was uncooperative, refusing to accept any responsibility for the vehicle's defects. My queries regarding their pre-sale vehicle inspection processes were deflected.Unfulfilled Promises: Despite assurances that he would initiate dialogue between his mechanic team and Chapman Ford to better understand the issue, Tre Hillerich failed to follow through. Multiple attempts to contact him and obtain resolution proved fruitless.Negative Customer Result:The ramifications of these events are substantial:Financial Loss: I am incurring daily financial losses due to the unavailability of my vehicle. Since taking possession of the vehicle on June 26, it has spent more time out of my possession than in it.Inconvenience: The continuous vehicle breakdowns and lack of resolution have resulted in significant personal inconvenience and disruption to my daily life.Failure to Address the Issue: Koons Ford's refusal to acknowledge responsibility and their failure to engage in a meaningful resolution process have left me with a sense of frustration and helplessness.This complaint is submitted with the hope of drawing attention to the unsatisfactory customer service and failure to address a significant issue on the part of Koons Ford Dealership. I kindly request your assistance in mediating this matter and finding a fair and equitable solution.Sincerely,Robert Sobarzo

Another great purchase experience with Koons Sterling Ford. Bought another vehicle last month and had the pleasure of working with Greg Williams. From the start of the ordering process he was attentive to my needs and prompt with communication. When my vehicle arrived at the store, he sent me a personalized video message showing me both the interior and exterior. Pick and and paperwork was a breeze and the transaction was completed far below my expected time estimate. Greg also took me on a test drive and gave me a comprehensive run down of all the features and functionalities to ensure I was comfortable with the vehicle prior to driving off the lot. Thanks for an awesome experience and I look forward to my next purchase!
