Today I went to this Giant to pick up a few items. When I went to the self-checkout, it was having problems. The girl came to look at it briefly, pushed a bunch of buttons, then started laughing and gave up and said she cannot help me. She walked away and left me there. I asked if I should go to a person checkout instead and she said yes. The first lady I went to had one other lady in front of me who asked if she could leave her cart to go get one more item. The checkout lady said yes, then looked at me and said she was going to take serval minutes. I said it was fine. Then I started telling her why I came over here from the self-checkout. She became very angry with me and told me if I was in a hurry I should go to another lady. I said I was not in a hurry, but she picked up all my items and handed them over to her coworker at another checkout! The other lady reluctantly agreed to take them and told me to come around. She angrily scanned them, then started mumbling and swearing! I told her why I had come over from the self-checkout and she yelled at me "THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!" When I left the store I started crying and was not able to drive home for a really long time because I was so upset. I am astounded how rude 3 employees were to me today, and I probably will never go back. Completely inappropriate behavior.

Very disgusted by the treatment of this location.
My girlfriend and I visited this store while we were waiting for our take out dinner to be finished cooking. We brought our ESA service dog with us and as soon as we walked in, the manager politely asked us to leave unless it was a service dog which it is and we informed him of it and he said okay, apologized and continued with his work.
Once we arrived to self check out, the employee named Susan who was working the check out extremely loud and rude when I was waiting to be ID’d to check out alcohol the employee yelled across the entire front area saying she was highly allergic to dogs and we had to wait a few minutes and the entire front of the store, customers and staff were staring at us while this was all happening. I informed her it was a service dog and she continued to be loud and irate. The entire situation was very embarrassing and unnecessary, for my girlfriend especially since she needs her dog in public settings to keep her feeling safe and comfortable.
The same manager from before came to help me and verify my ID and he handled it well but I was still extremely disappointed and unhappy with how we were put on the spot. I did my best to filter how I felt about it to the manager but as I walked out I reminded Susan to check her attitude in the future with people with service animals.
If she’s “allergic”, she could’ve privately asked another team member to assist rather than yelling across the aisle and making a scene. Absolutely disgusting.

I like shopping here but there are two ladies that work here that ruined the experience for my mother and I. The one Hispanic lady in what her 50’s is so rude and entitled. She literally grabbed my mom’s items and decided to scan them herself as if she thought my mom would steal which is sort of profiling in my opinion. The other woman the Indian lady at self checkout is so rude each time I shop. If anything these women need to take training classes on how to provide customer service instead of taking items from someone and throwing the groceries in the self checkout. How about instead of having them stand there and be rude to customers, they go clean the bathrooms that are so dirty here. Absolutely sad and disgusting that employees take things from people and try to force them to do things they don’t want to do.

I like the options in the meat/seafood department. And the deli counter is decent. BUT self checkout is not for the impatient. Six of seventeen of my items caused a need for assistance. And at least two other self service check outs were also requiring similar attention.

Prices are cheaper at 7-11's. Short staffed. Gross bathroom. The entire store needs to cleaned. Never again.

I enjoy shopping at Giant Food. But I have a problem with dogs in the store sniffing the food and sitting in the carts where I place my food.

Place has a good selection overall, but the prices are just getting outrageous. I understand inflation, but they are 20-30% more expensive than any other local grocery store chain. Good to shop just for a few items but it's gotten to the point where we don't do full grocery store hauls here anymore.

I had a bad experience there with a couple of store managers. They are disrespectful and unprofessional employees.

I am new to the area, saw these price tags, I then unloaded my cart, and left. I DO NOT need to know what the color of the franchise owners' skin is to influence me to buy this product. I didn't see any HISPANIC OWNED, WHITE OWNED, DISABLED OWNED, GAY OWNED, etc.You should put WOKE LIBERAL OWNED underneath your store's name! STAY OUT OF POLITICS
