Craters and Freighters shipped a large painting from DC to New England for me. The service was excellent! They explained the process fully, gave me a clear estimate of cost, called to keep me up to date on when the painting would arrive, packed it in a manner that it was fully protected. Did superb coordination with a local company that picked up the painting from the Craters and Freighters hub nearest to me. The local company, Action Moving and Storage, also was excellent and delivered the painting, removed all the packing materials and brought it into my house, flawlessly. Highest recommendation!!!

We recently used Craters and Freighters of Washington to ship family China to our daughter in St.Paul, Mn from Northern Va. What an excellent company to deal with, from the initial online quote request to the final delivery of the China! We had online updates throughout and the office staff could not of been more helpful!

We shipped a painting from DC to Hamburg, Germany with Craters & Freighters and were very satisfied with the service and price. Everything was easy - painting was picked up, professionally packed in a wood crate, and arrived quickly. Definitely recommend for shipping art!

I used Craters and Freighters for shipping household goods form DC to Brussels. They were extremely attentive and had outstanding customer service. The quote went through several iterations to ensure it was accurate and they worked overtime to help with this. When the package arrived in Brussels, there were delays from FedEx. Craters and Freighters went above and beyond to communicate with FedEx and log complaints. Ultimately, the boxes were delivered successfully- which meant so much to my family as I moved with a two year old and was 7 months pregnant. Don’t hesitate to book with this company.

I have used Craters & Freighters for several years now to ship an oddly-shaped product that my company manufactures. Every delivery whether it has been on the East Coast or the West Coast has been well packaged and carefully shipped. We just shipped an antique dresser with mirror from VA to FL using Craters & Freighters. I was very satisfied with the service, attention to detail, packing, and safe transport. I received excellent service from Laura who worked with me to limit costs as much as possible and who kept me posted at each step of the process.. The company gave me plenty of notice when they picked up the dresser at a storage unit, packed it beautifully and got it safely to its destination.. The recipient was very appreciative and noted how well it was packed and protected. He was also pleased with the local delivery and set up (white glove service). C&F was not the cheapest bid I got to do the job, but had been referred to me by UPS (who said they didn’t transport furniture anymore) and I felt I could trust them with a valued family heirloom. I’m glad I chose them.

I am blown away by the great service I got from Craters and Freighters in Sterling. I had a lot of items to ship domestically and internationally, and the came to the condo, took it all away for packing, wrapped it incredibly carefully (and repacked some of them to cost me the least), and then shipped them out. But the most lovely thing is how they interact with you - they are very responsive, very clear, and very thoughtful. A total pleasure, and made the sad job of managing the estate of a loved one so much easier.

We had to get a shipment from DC to Puerto Rico within 3 days, and Craters & Freighters DC handled every step of the shipment for us. Our goods arrived in time for the opening party for the home, everyone was happy, and relieved!
