Edited: it is 1.5 weeks later and one of the acrylic nails has already fallen off. My daughter spent $100 of her babysitting money for this. We have tried calling and stopping by but the manager is never there.
Original post (7.19.2024): My daughter and her friend had acrylics with nail art this evening. The technician neglected to turn the UV light on after the art and then reapplied polish so the nails are smudgy. At close to $80 for the set this would have been frustrating enough but it got worse. My daughter went to tip the stylist and was asking for change and the stylist said “that’s good” and took the entire bill and walked away. While my daughter was still talking to her. This is unacceptable behavior and taking advantage of a teenager.

Edit: Tammy is no longer there and has returned to her previous salon. I'm new to Avalon, but not new to Tammy. She's been doing my nails for years! I love how she makes them look so natural. I've always done gel nails but somewhat recently switched to dip and have been really happy with how well they hold up, even with a job that has me using my hands so much. So glad I listened to Tammy's encouragement! She does a wonderful job and knows when I want to chat and then recognizes the days when I just want to be quiet. Hands down great experience with Tammy!

I recently visited this nail salon, and my experience was far from relaxing. One of the employees was extremely loud and wouldn't stop talking. I even asked her to breathe sometimes or speak more slowly, but she continued to chatter and laugh with everyone around her. The other employees were speaking in a normal level which is fine, It was incredibly annoying and disrespectful. Even in a café, I never encounter such a high volume of noise.
As clients, we come here for some "me time," and this kind of behavior completely ruins the experience. The environment was awful. They only had to remove my dipping powder—nothing complicated—but now one of my nails is so thin that I can feel my finger, and it hurts.
I would never recommend this place, and I certainly won't be coming back!

I had a very nice pedicure today. I had a pedicure with a hot rock massage. It felt wonderful and my feet and legs feel great. Looking forward to June already for my next appointment.

Came here from a friends recommendation. Vi is amazing. Super nice and extremely talented. The environment was fun, friendly, clean and happy. I got a full set and my daughter (8) got a gel manicure. Prices were super reasonable. Immediately made my appointment for a fill before leaving. Would highly recommend.

i went in there to get my nails done yesterday, I asked for a design but got something very sloppy and botched instead.
My nails were so thick, my cuticles were red and bleeding, and it was painful to do anything with my nails,
the girl was rude and bossy, and wasnt listening to what i had to say.
she charged me way too much for such a bad design, the base was also the wrong color.
I went to another salon and got it fixed today and the whole fiasco cost me 180 dollars ?
I never usually post reviews but that girl who did my nails just had a really bad attitude.
I will not come back :(

I’ve been a repeat customer because Avalon is convenient and cheaper than other places I’ve been to. Because of that I have set aside their rudeness here and there…but today was the last straw. I took my 9 year old daughter out for a mother/daughter day and I accidentally dropped a single nail polish-there was NO mess fortunately, and I sincerely apologized multiple times immediately. In front of the entire store, the lady yelled and shamed us saying that we “need to be more careful” and that “if it makes a mess SHE would have to clean it.” I have never seen this behavior from any establishment until today. My daughter became teary-eyed and embarrassed so we had to leave immediately. I will no longer give this place any money. There is a reason they’re cheaper than other places-spend the 5 extra dollars and go somewhere who appreciates you as a customer! Also, any establishment that treats children in this way is not worth it!!

I’ve been coming here for about 10 years now with my mom and sister. For any formal occasion, fun holiday manicure or anything in between, this is the place to go! The staff are incredibly talented, friendly, and clean. I always leave happy!
