The Gallery was mostly nice, but we had a disappointing experience due to inaccurate information on the Inn's website. The website has a whole page talking about how the Inn at Vaucluse Spring has "the best breakfast in Virginia." My wife saw this and it was a major reason she asked me to make a reservation. But I didn't know this when I made the reservation and hadn't seen the website. So when I called and the owner told me that the breakfast would be delivered in the room, I didn't think think anything of it. As it turned out, the "breakfast" was a collection of thoroughly mediocre food picked up at the grocery store--yogurt, bagels, orange juice. The yogurt wasn't event especially fancy. As a result, my wife was disappointed. The host did offer to give us a discount on our stay to compensate for the disappointing breakfast. But he refuses to change the misleading information on his website. To this day, the website brags, falsely, about having "the best breakfast in Virginia," creating the likelihood that other customers will be misled in the future. I could understand if it was still May 2020 and they just hadn't had time to make the change. But the pandemic has been underway for almost a year at this point. It could easily go for another year. And I think it's unethical for a business to knowingly publish inaccurate information on its website.

Our stay here was incredible. The property, accommodations, breakfast and customer service all exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the cabin, which was beautifully decorated and very clean. It had a view of the pond, and a cute little porch with rocking chairs. Dereck and Tiffany were amazing hosts and Dereck’s breakfasts were gourmet. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay in the Gabriel's room. Nice king size bed and Jacuzzi as well. The breakfast was so tasty and looked gourmet. The grounds and rooms were well cared for and the hosts were very pleasant! The surrounding area was beautiful and the location was close to some very enjoyable attractions. We came away refreshed and relaxed.

We stayed in the Manor House, the larger building on the property. The historical building is beautifully restored, and our room was very clean and comfortable. The grounds are well maintained, and very scenic. Innkeepers Derrick and Tiffany were great. We'll definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn - specifically, we stayed in the Cabin by the Pond and it was sublime. So peaceful, calm, and completely relaxing. The cabin itself is modern with central air, an awesome jacuzzi, rocking chairs both inside by the fireplace and outside on the porch. We sat outside and read books, sipped wine, both in sunny and rainy weather, it was perfect. For a day trip, we went to Skyline Drive in Shenandoah and took a relaxing drive, saw some sites. We had food in Stephens City and Winchester. A perfect getaway and this Inn is superb.

We had our 30th wedding aniversary at Vaucluse. The stay was fantastic. The propietors went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The estate was beautiful and the rooms were one of a kind. I highly recommend this bed n breakfast as a get away for couples!

Heavenly seclusion and peaceful quiet. The Millhouse Studio sits next to a tranquil pond, two Adirondack chairs beckon at the water's edge. Water falls through the old Millhouse race... nature's own worldly-noise cancelling headphones. Definitely a place for a couples you-and-me-time getaway.

After our daughter's wedding, my wife and I stayed here for two nights as a mini vacation before returning home to New York. We chose The Inn at Vaucluse Spring based on the overwhelmingly positive online reviews, and our visit confirmed that the high marks are all very well-deserved. Tiffany and Derrick are wonderful innkeepers, providing warm hospitality and fine accommodations amidst a relaxing scenic property. Upon arrival we were greeted with coffee and cookies, which immediately made us feel right at home.We stayed in the Stephens Room, located in the south wing of the Chumley Homeplace. We loved the country decor and the overall relaxed rustic atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable; the bathroom was spacious, and the shower's water pressure was excellent. The breakfasts were superb: delicious and filling, with great attention to detail and presentation. The scones/muffins (accompanied by a special flavored butter each day) and fruit (topped with a fresh sprig of mint!) were nice lead-ins to the main course.Overall, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our third visit here this past weekend and we had a great relaxing time staying in the cabin. Tiffany welcomed us upon our arrival and made sure we felt right at home. Breakfast the next morning was great: pumpkin muffins with cinnamon sugar butter, watermelon and blueberries with a touch of lavender, and eggs with spinach, feta, prosciutto, and a yummy sauce whose name I forgot! There's isn't dinner service any longer but there are plenty of options in the area. We'll be back!

It is rare that a place itself is actually MORE beautiful than depicted on the website but that is certainly the case for this Inn. We stayed in The Mill House and it was perfect: warm, comfortable and so charming! Both of our breakfasts were delicious and creative. Derrick and Tiffany are the best balance of attentive but also allowing for space and privacy. We will most definitely stay here again!
