LOVE this store!! It’s better than any of the Blue ridge stores around and the prices are great and affordable (most)

I used to like this store, but today I had a bad experience. I went in and bought some items, but at check out, Natalie was very rude. I typed the wrong number on the pin pad and told her it was wrong. She proceeded to ignore me even though I said 3 times it wasn't right.

Was just in here today and was pondering about buying a set of cups and an employee was harassing me to leave 8 minutes before they closed. I thought it was strange that I was the only customer they did this to when there were other customers in the store too. Then I realized that I was the only non-white person in the store so maybe it was racially motivated. Then as soon as I stepped out they locked the door when it wasn’t even 5 minutes before close. Very disappointed because I went to the other locations nearby and didn’t have an issue until I came to this one.

The store is great and has a lot of different items, but the OUTSIDE around where you park is absoultely disgusting. I didn't even want to get out of my car and walk where I had to. I know most parking lots are dirty, but someone needs to clean up on the outside of this place, whoever owns it.

Blue Ridge Hospice always has lots of items for a good price. The place is always clean and organized. I would recommend BRH.

I enjoy taking my clothing donations here and small household items, but I was disappointed that when I had them come to pick up a 70 year old bedroom suite, they refused to take the vanity and chest of drawers because "they had signs of wear". This furniture was 70 years old, dove-tail construction...all screws and great craftsmanship and yes, it had "wear" but was a very nice set. Unfortunately I didn't have more time to find someone who could take it as my Dad's rental house had to be cleared out on the 31st.I will continue to donate small items like books and clothing, but I don't recommend them for larger household items...definitely have a back-up plan in place....

Good customer service here in spite of the best efforts of the corporate office.I work for a nonprofit that was trying to clean out our basement at the Yard Crawl. We finished around 4, and I went here to see if they'd like to take some of the remaining inventory off our hands. So I got there around 4:25.The staff member who handles donations got out at 4, and expressed concern about serving me because corporate apparently gives the staff grief for going overtime. Nonetheless, he took the time (one minute) to serve me.The local customer service alone would get 5 stars. However, as a nonprofit professional myself I must say that while I can understand bureaucracy (and have written some red tape myself) it makes no sense to make your employees feel apprehensive about serving customers. So corporate policies - not the local branch - cause this place to lose a star. I don't need to carry a bunch of junk around my car, and I did get to Blue Ridge as soon as I could. I think this constitutes a reasonable time to go above and beyond. If funding overtime pay is a concern, then Blue Ridge Hospice could have their development team inspire donors with their customer service. As it is, corporate's policies come across as myopic. I'm just glad the employees here are wiser than that.
