“A local shop filled with various rotating local artists. The "pop-up" consists of several showcased artisans that are there for a time with their crafts. The set up today ranged from doll house miniatures, candles, kitchen ware, pottery, bath salts, crystals, hand dyed clothing, jewelry, decorations, and knitted dolls. The atmosphere was inclusive and I think it's a great addition to the downtown scene, especially as what's offered can change to refresh purchasing opportunities.”

“This uniquely beautiful shop reflects the creative spirit and intellectual curiosity of its owner. "Words Matter" is a thoughtfully curated collection of books (including children's books), printed poems and affirmations, amethyst crystals, and objects ( homemade paper, artistic cards, fairies!) that affirm kindness, seeking, civic involvement, and spirit. Importantly, there is an undertone of whimsy and joy. You are encouraged to browse, or shopkeepers can help you find the exact right thing if you ask for assistance.”

“We stopped into Essentially Zen on recommendation from the pet supply shop downstairs. I was looking for seasonal candles that didn’t contain any synthetic or potentially harmful ingredients so I was super excited to look around. Everything in the store was amazing! The scents were incredible with a wide variety of personal care products available - candles, bath bombs, body + face products, and a variety of other smell good items for your home. We had a chance to speak with the owner, who also makes the products, and she was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable answering any questions we had about the store or Staunton in general since we are from out of town. Everything is made in store with all natural ingredients that are pet and child safe. I got some amazing seasonal scented candles I can’t wait to try; highly recommend stopping in!”
