“Quaint country store in the hills above Bassett. Besides the many grocery selections, they also serve burgers & fries or hot sandwiches from the grill. Very informal, no seating. A good stop for whatever you might need, even gas. Friendly proprietors are locals who know the area and just about everyone who stops in. Highly recommend this place. We simply call it "The Country Store." Tell Judy I said hi.”
“This is a great store! It is extremely clean, well stocked and even very neatly stocked. There is staff everywhere willing to help and they're always so friendly and nice. Lots and lots of selections as this store is quite large. This one and the Stanleytown Food Lion are the best around.

“Have enjoyed swinging by here on my many travels through Henry/Franklin County. They have the Ethanol free gas for your car, and coke in glass bottles and little bit of everything else you could want for your trip. Plus friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend this place. ?”

“This store shouldn't be named the Old Country store it should be called: The Friendly Store. The staff are nice, talkative. You go in and get what u need gas, food, drinks, tomatoes etc. Everybody love this store. It's in a Great location. The items are a bit high priced but it local and convenient. And open 24 hours. “Totally recommend it. Bigger than a normal Dollar General and twice as much items and a pretty good fridge and freezer products so you can kill two birds with one stone. And no boxes cluttering the isles.”
“This is the cleanest DG I've been to. The staff there are always nice and helpful. There's still a tiny bit of clutter due to the nature of this type of store, but you could run through the aisles and never trip over merchandise.If you go to a DG, go to this one. It's really something else compared to the others in this area.”

They have a refrigerated and frozen food section, along with all the other usual dollar store stock. Store was clean and neat. “I love this place the stuff is really friendly, however I went to the store one of this day Friday 7 to be exactly and OMG there was a white young lady that was with such an attitude and being so rude to all customers I don’t know what was going on with her, it was the first time that the lady was there but I mean i say like if you don’t like a jobs that you gonna be talking to customers then do not get a job like that cuz I think that is not people’s fault that you be having a bad day.”
