We do NOT recommend this Petco for Grooming! We brought our two dogs here and we will never visit again. They charged us over $200 for a small dog and a medium size dog, and that isn't even our biggest complaint! The groomer shaved our medium sized dog because they didn't want to deal with the matting and the groomer cut our dog's skin on the top of his head! When we got home he was bleeding. Shortly after our small dog then had an allergic reaction to something they used (she has never had an allergic reaction before) and both of her eyes became huge and swollen. We then had to go to a veterinarian for help. Do your dogs a favor and go anywhere but here.

This is the third time I've bought something from this Petco and it's a return but it's missing pieces and is dirty. I bought a filter and it didn't even had the lid and the filter was dirty and obviously used. At least discount the thing at the bare minimum.

Front desk was very helpful in terms of trying to find directions to other clinics (which you don’t get often due to competitiveness)As well as helping me make an informed decision on vaccinations for my pet!It was really helpful i appreciate you so much ??

We walked in at 10:30 am and no one else was in the store shopping. I went and asked for help with getting a few gold fish for my daughter. They told me that someone would be there to help us. 20 mins later I asked for help again and they told me that the manager knew that we needed help and she was the only one trained to work with the fish. We waited 15 more mins and asked again. We were told "I guess she is not going to help you." We left. I realize selling a few goldfish was not going to make them a lot of money but the customer service is terrible. I will never go back to risk wasting another 45 mins of my life.

I had an appointment to get a haircut for my Malshi dog Snoopy on the 7th of the month, I came in for the appointment only to be told that they had lost a member of the staff and that they were not able to cut Snoopy's hair, nobody bothered to call me and tell me that in advance, I had to come to the store to find out. I was re-scheduled for the 14th of the month only to be told that it was too late in the day to cut my dog's hair so I was rescheduled again for the 19th, so on that day, as soon as I come in, they told me that my dog's hair was too matted for them to be able to do the haircut and that I needed to take it to a private groomer. If my dog had got his haircut at the beginning of the month his hair would not have been matted, besides all that, what kind of business send you away to the competition? What about taking care of the customer? I will never go back to Petco and I hope you do the same!

This review is for Brianna @ the register. Miss Brianna was super helpful, informative and patient with me while I chatted her ear off. Great customer service. She needs a raise. ;)

Seems like the grooming departments in this area have a common theme-suspicious pet behavior after getting them back. Now, I already had an experience getting my dogs to the "correct" petco location (I left a review for the dale city location). The staff was initially very nice, but when we pick up our two dogs they let us know one of them cannot come back because he got "aggressive" when they tried to do his ears. We've recently moved here from San Diego and we've had his ears done at other locations including a Pet Coach location and we have NEVER had a report of him being aggressive. He's been to multiple people and had SO MANY grooming experiences so this came as a shock. Both of our dogs are small breed. We get him and our girl dog back home and they're both acting strangely. They won't leave our side, he wanted to be held almost constantly and they've even taken to hiding away a little bit. They seem quite upset to where our boy dog didn't want to eat. It's very easy to not give Petco any business here due to the many other groomers in the area and their food is available elsewhere so we won't be back to any petco location in this area. They're getting two stars for taking them past their appointment time due to a mistake on the other petco location and their cuts look decent although the cuts received in San Diego looked much better.

I won't be going back there for grooming. The lady was very rude when I asked about the pricing cause I was trying to understand why it was $42 for just a bath. She said " this is ridiculous it's 8 o clock and I have to go home, you don't have to pay this and you are not to come back here again" I never once said I wasn't gonna pay, I just simply asked her why it was so expensive and explain what it said online vs what it said at the store. Can't believe they have people like her working there. Very poor customer service. Side note: The store manger on the other hand was very nice.

When you go to huy fish, you expect the fish to be alive. Seems Petco can't keep their fish alive. Every time I've gone to buy snails or shrimp I'm told they died or are dying. I bought shrimp a week ago and they died that night. The selection of fish is very minimal. Petco is a pet store and this should not be a problem. But Walmart is a department store and they have an abundance of LIVE fish to choose from. Something is wrong at Petco.

I had been using PETCO grooming services for over 6 years. I dropped my dog off a couple of months ago and one of the groomers stated they're not very busy and requested I tell my friends about them. When I went to pick my dog up after an hour (typically they have her for over 3), she was acting off. When I got home I checked her and she'd been cut. I thought this was a fluke so 2 weeks ago I took her again, and she was ready in a hour. She was visibally shaking and I had blood on my hand when I put her on the car. This time, they cut her in two places and one was very deep so I had to take her to the vet which cost me more $$$. I will never return.

I tried to call Petco's 888 customer service number first, but there was no option to simply speak to someone in customer service. The "live chat" on line was busy for hours and it directed me back to the 888 number. Seems a bit suspicious, but here is my complaint since I have no other way to voice it. Was in the Garrisonville area today and stopped in for a few things. Saw some small breed canned dog food on clearance in various flavors and picked up 10 cans. They were supposed to be $0.88 or $0.89 each. When I got home and looked over my receipt, I noticed I had been charged full price $1.19. These were items: 002736960/86/94/78/51. Yes, this won't break the bank but it is very annoying and indicates inadequate management. And of course since I live about 12 miles from this PetCo, I'm not going to go back for a credit/adjustment. I just wont go back and I encourage you to always check your receipt before you leave this store. I agree that one should not have to do this and should be able to assume that something clearly marked clearance will in fact be properly coded in the cash register system. You can do better PetCo. If you send me the number to a real person in your corporate office and not the number to a voice mail phone tree with no option to just speak to someone, I would love to discuss this with them and see how they can credit my account. The purchase was today at 10:06 am with sales partner 3 (I am not putting her name in here since she had nothing to do with the mistake). My purchase total was $32.56. You should be able to locate my transaction. Thank you.

Went in to buy cat food and took my grand sons to see the animals. There was a ferret enclosure with 3 ferrets in it. The enclosure reeked of ammonia. On checking out I asked for the manager. It turns out he was the cashier at the check out. I told him about the odor of ammonia coming from the ferrets enclosure. He questioned if it wasn't the cat's I was smelling because "other people have complained of that problem". I told him no it's not the cats. He stated that "maybe someone did not change out the litter that morning". Fella, no one has changed that litter for a long time!!! It takes longer than 1 day for an enclosure to smell that bad. I seriously doubt that anything was done since when I left he was still chatting up some girl who was visiting him at the register. Poor choice of managers lead to poor animal welfare from a company that promotes animal welfare so aggressively. They should be ashamed of themselves. Perhaps they should invest in people who actually care for the animals in their care. What a novel idea.
