Everyone I have dealt with here has been nothing but kind. Dr.Kennedy is compassionate, but blunt and I appreciate that greatly. I trust that she has my pets best interests at heart. I have taken two cats and my elderly dog here for over a year and have always felt I got fair treatment and that cost was appropriate for the service given. Highly recommend.

We have been clients of AGAH since we moved to Stafford almost 20 years ago. We have always received great service and our dogs have received great care. Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Minnich, and Dr. Guth are very thorough, kind, and caring. The front desk and vet assistant personnel are great too. I would not take my dogs to any other vet in this area.

Entered the office and asked if we could look up my account by last name. The receptionist responded, "It is more efficient using your phone number, {pause} don't know your own phone number?" This pushed me over the edge and I raised my voice. Gave her my phone number (knowing it is not in their system). When she looked it up she realized the number that I know so well is not in their system and the receptionist asked for my name. Keeping my voice raised it was provided. Now causing a scene the owner walked close by and the receptionist took the opportunity to make the snide comment "Why is this guy yelling at me". To which I responded "cause you don't listen". The owner quickly interjected and threatened me with "I can ask you to leave if you are raising your voice to my employee." At that point I just looked at her silently and waited. She threatened me again and I continued to be quiet and look her in the eye. She then figured out she had to act on her threat and actually ask me to leave. Once the owner asked me to leave, I complied. This was my second bad experience in 24 hours in this establishment. The night before a different receptionist told me that they would not provide a non-regulated joint supplement with being recommended by a doctor. Had to get my wife to call and talk that receptionist off the cliff to even consider providing us the joint supplement. Which you can see we did not get. Went to another vet. With zero problems. So like so many others here it seems like after frequenting this establishment for over 20 years this organization has really sunken to sub par levels. Private ownership...maybe if it was corporate owned or better managed it would have a bit more quality. I would pay for that.

We have been there for years and I always felt they weren't personable but now it's become so "corporate", they have lost their caring touch. I think they need to go back and remember their "why" and that they are there for the patients. Also chart prep. No one knew what to call me and when I inquired they had my spouses X wife still on my chart. And no one wants to be asked the same question over and over again. Why do I have to tell more than 1 person what kind of food I feed them. If I buy my flea and heart worm meds from you, why do you need me to name the meds. Isn't in your file? Time to change vets.

I brought my mini poodle ( missy) in a couple months ago because her eyes were bothering her and she had a hard time seeing on the stairs that she's been going up and down on for over a year. The doctors assured me her eyes were fine and that it comes with age of being able to see well in the dark. Currently at the emergency vet in and she's been diagnosed with glaucoma and it is so severe she may lose her eyesight in that eye if she hasn't already. Avoid this vet at all cost. If properly diagnosed two months ago, this could've been managed. My dog has lost her sight because of their negligence.

We have been loyal customers with our doggy patients here since we moved to the area more than 20 years ago. Things have gone down hill with the staff - not the vets - the gatekeepers and others. For over a week I have been trying to get them to respond to 1800 petmeds about a prescription. Depending on when you call and who you get you get a different answer. Either there is no such prescription, or the vet can't be reached, or my favorite petmeds never sent the request. Trying to speak to the office manager is also a non-starter - they won't put you through. Still waiting for a prescription for more than 7 days. The original order was placed the 7th of February, and AGAH failed to approve the prescription. I called AGAH to ask them to approve on thursday the 9th. They claimed no request from 1`800 pet meds. Pet meds resubmitted. The next day, without any chance of getting the script from pet meds, I asked for a few doses to tide us over since Diesel was out, and we were leaving town. Promised Saturday, I went to get the pills but no call to say they couldn't do it, AND First they claimed no request from Pet meds. Then THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE SCRIPT. This morning the vet called we talked about it, and she said she'd process the script. I called again at 11, 200 3, & 400 PM and they had a variety of answers for me depending on who I spoke with. First they said they didn't have the request, then they said they had the request. Then THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE SCRIPT. Then they said the vet (the one who called me this morning) didn't process the script. The only story they had in common is that they would get it done today. I asked to speak to a manager, they told me there were no managers in the house. Astoundingly, Gretchen Guth had time to write back to me this afternoon to explain that we should be patient about the time required to process a prescription. Of course, she used the dates that her staff gave which were not the actual dates. I am wondering how a manager didn't have time to take my call or to expedite a prescription, but DID have time to monitor social media and try to answer my questions. Of course, she used the dates that her staff gave which were not the actual dates. How is it that a VET owner of a business has time to read and try to rebut social media, but no time to actuall do the veterinary work or keep the promises she made.

My experience at AGAH was top notch. One of my four-legged sons was not himself over the holidays and our vet practice was closed. I was able to get an appointment to be seen at AGAH to get the necessary medical care and attention for my baby. The Practice Manager Travis Jones, the Veterinarian Dr. Kennedy, her assistant, and the front office staff were all remarkable. Thanks to Travis Jones, the intake process with the staff was seamless, and Dr. Kennedy gave her time and attention in a way I have never seen another Veterinarian do. She even talked to another family member by phone to help re-explain her recommendations given, and she called to clarify a question I had. The cost of the emergency visit and the prescriptions were very reasonable to my surprise. Also, Mr. Jones was so professional and considerate that he sent our records over to our normal vet office. If I ever switch from the hospital we've been going to (that I've never even written a review for), it will be because of this overall experience.

100% only care about profit. Prices way higher then any other vet in the area, and their service is poor too. Go any place else.

There are about 3 vets here I liked, but it seems as if things have changed in the last couple years. Read the negative complaints and I agree with them. It's all about the benjamins anymore and my dogs deserve better! And what they charge for medications you can get at half the price or better if you try California Petmeds, or 1800petmeds. They don't make any money if your animal gets better and I've got one dog with recurring issues she's suffered miserably with for a couple of years and it TEARS ME UP TO SEE HER SUFFER!

I have 25 Yorkies and have been taking them to AGAH for the past 9 years to see Dr Kennedy. She truly has my pets best interest in mind and does not recommend test that aren't needed. I highly recommend this hospital.

After being their client for more than 10 years without ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT and problem EVER about both their vets and their reception desk, and leaving THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS there (5 pets over the years), today I was treated by a Reception Desk TRAINEE, and then by her "boss," like I was a last piece of trash!!! Among other things, I was told to call "first thing in the morning" even though the call was placed at 8 a.m.??? So what is "first thing in the morning," 6 a.m. when they don't answer the phone??? Both are obviously new employees (I guess the good old ones quit for SOME reason...) and the self-proclaimed "boss" clearly trains his trainee to have just as diva attitude as he does. When I asked for both their names and to be transferred to the owner of the clinic, I've been cut out numerous times and put on hold in the middle of my sentence, as well as denied to be transferred to the REAL boss (obviously before they could sell their story to the so-called boss, Troy). The so-called "owner," who gave only his first name (??), Troy, was no better when I came there in person, didn't even want to listen to my side of the story, and overall the attitude in that clinic, after TEN YEARS of having no problems whatsoever, is beyond despicable!!! They have good vets (especially Dr. Kennedy), but their reception desk is despicable, so be careful not to insult the egos after they show you attitude! And on top if it, it's not like they are the cheapest vets around, so this is absolutely unacceptable! The attitude from the reception desk, cutting you in the middle of the sentence, not giving their names, and threatening with calling the police??? Really??!!?? This used to be such a respectable vet clinic and now it's run down to their diva receptionists with attitude and ego issues, how sad.

After years of taking my pets to this animal hospital I called them on the morning of July 9, 2021 to tell them that something was terribly wrong with my cat, Gracie. I begged for an emergency appointment but the lady on the phone told me they couldn't see her until July 21. I explained that I didn't think she would survive until then and that I needed to get her in right away. She reiterated that she couldn't be seen until July 21. I rushed her to another vet (610 Animal Hospital) who kept her for four hours in her crate and sent me home $500 later with a diuretic and some other drug for pleural effusion as well as offering to recommend a specialist In Manassas. By this time it was 5 o'clock on a Friday evening and I was not told that her condition was fatal. I spent all day Saturday calling and leaving messages at the emergency animal hospital in Fredericksburg to which I got no response. We rushed her to the emergency animal hospital on Sunday in hopes of banging the door down and getting someone to help us. She was pretty much gone with chain stokes breathing by the time they completed their paperwork gave her the euthanasia shot. Gracie died a horrible, painful death on July 11. 48 hours of stressful helplessness and $950 for the memory of little Gracie's painful death. Not only do I not feel confident taking my one remaining pet to Aquia Garrisonville knowing they will not help in an emergency but I've lost faith in much of the profession altogether. Aquia Garrisonville did contact me a few days before July 21 to ask if I still wanted to bring Gracie in to which I informed them that she was dead. Had they cared about me as a customer and their patient, we might have humanely euthanized her and let her die a peaceful death on July 9 saving her 2 days of suffering. I write this over a year later because I'm reminded of their lack of sensitivity by their continued email solicitations. PS I was never given a recommendation for emergency care. I asked if I should take her elsewhere and was told "you can if you want to".

So far so good! Took our dog there, they were intelligent with the shots needed. They called back in a day to tell me she had worms and had meds waiting within the hour. I heard they are more expensive then other places but the staff is friendly!

This practice is all about the money. I recently, after years of being a client and having several pets with them and having spent thousands of dollars in care, I was told I could not be a client anymore because I disagreed on their decision to charge me for a visit that was not needed. My pet is not sick. He just needs his regular 6 month shot. Besides, other than through bloodwork, which he had in May 2022, there is no way of knowing if the medication amount has affected him. A physical visit will not address any issue. Even on my cat's patient history file it states that the shot is all he needed, if they only read the entry for May. They wanted to charge a full visit when he had already had a full visit about six months prior and the Dr had stated to me to just bring him in in October for his shot, not a full visit. The Practice Manager Mandy Huff is rude, unprofessional and does not care about his clients. She treated me with disrespect, hung up on me, sent me my records and told me to go to another Vet because I disagreed with her process. She denied care to my cat who has an Asthma issue and needed an immediate appointment for his shot, or he could die. SO no, they do not care about your pet, just $$$$. I called her back after she sent the records via email and told me she did not want to discuss this anymore she hung on me again. Great customer service they have. So many ways that this could have been handled better. They charge ridiculous amounts for 10-minute visits and try to gauge you with every service possible. Their doctors are okay, but they do look stressed because the constant upselling they need to do. It is sad. The office personnel are nice and attentive, and Dr Guth has been very nice, but the practice as a whole is just about the $$. They change prices and process constantly without notification. Very sad. ***Update, I just read my pet's file and MS. Huff added unprofessional notes about our conversation which is a totally distorted view from my actual conversation with her, and this could potentially prevent my cat from getting care with other vets. This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable and has far reaching consequences in my cat's medical care. This is unbelievable. I have asked for this to be removed from his file and she has not responded.
