“I recently attended the Open Water Dive course, and really enjoyed the experience. First of all, the well organized shop, nice classroom, and enthusiastic, knowledgeable instructors gave me a great feeling of confidence. There were three instructors for a class of 8 students, so we all got lots of personal attention. There was enough classroom time to discuss the overall diving experience. The rental equipment was well fitted and worked great, the pool facilities were also the best (at a nearby Fairfax County rec center). I highly recommend them if you are interested in diving. And by the way, I'm 73 years old, so if I can do it, so can you!”
“The store is a little small but the gear they carry is quality. I have never run into the problem of not being able to find what I need. It is a bit on the pricy side because they mainly stock higher-end stuff. Finding affordable cleats, in particular, can be a somewhat challenging but I have been able to pick up a pair that my son liked for under $100 when we've shopped there. Given how much he plays and practices, it's important that he has good-fitting cleats, so it's worth spending a little extra. The staff are always nice, professional, and knowledgeable. I'd recommend this place if you are looking for quality equipment and good recommendations.”

“We stopped by the store for an exchange. We went to the Potomac Mills location and my usual hat size was no longer a thing. It seems every hat fits differently on me. Potomac Mills did not have any more of the fitted hat I wanted so we had no choice but to exchange it. Thankfully, we found one that worked for me at the Springfield location.When we were there the store was busy and only one guy, Matthew, was working. He made sure he attended us once he was done with the other customers. He made the exchange extra easy and my wife ended up finding a hat and had it embroidered. He said it'd take about 30min and we ended up leaving and going to have dinner, before we can ever order our food, he called and said the hat was ready.Once we were done we went back and picked up the hat which was waiting for us. It came out great!I do recommend going to this Lids as Matthew was real helpful. Just have patience if he's busy with a customer and there are no other employees.”

“Had a wonderful experience working with Pat here today. She conducted a gait and foot analysis, and tailor selected shoes for me to try on. I am relatively new to running and wasn’t quite sure what I was looking for — Pat did a fabulous job helping me identify what style of shoe would be best for me. She gave me her undivided care and attention, and I left with a wonderful pair of shoes. I just did my first test run and am very happy with the result. I definitely recommend this store to any runner looking for guidance and expertise.”
