I’ve been bringing my cat here ever since we got him. They are conveniently located right next to my house so it’s just a walk away. They are always so nice and my cat, Tofu has never had any issues here. Service is fast and all the vets here are great.

Thank you again, Leann, for doing such a beautiful grooming on our miniature schnauzer Dolly Parton. True to her name, she is now shining like a star after seeing you today. We appreciate the time you took to shave her pretty and short for the summer.

We took our new pup to PMCS for his first round of vaccines. We weren’t impressed with the vet we saw, and then found out a week after they ran his fecal that he has parasites, after I asked them for the fecal results. Zero response from the clinic when I asked why they did not contact me to discuss the positive results, nor would they respond to my request for treatment options. They clearly don’t care about their patients’ health. I’m incredibly disappointed by this level of customer service. I absolutely do not recommend PMCS for your furbabies - there are far more responsive and caring vets in the area.

Incredibly disappointed by the PMCS. We saw Dr. Ljouad for our puppy's first vet visit. She immediately began speaking about pediatric neuter to prevent behavioral issues. While I do believe in spay/neuter, I don't agree with neutering a 12 week old puppy who has a solid temperament and zero issues. She also pressured me to feed him her GI dog food as a treat after I said not to give him any treats during his visits there, since his diet is carefully controlled. Upon testing his fecal for parasites, the office sat on the positive results for a week. When I requested a copy, and saw the positive test, the clinic would not respond to me wrt treatment options or why they didn't feel it was necessary to notify me of the result. A lot of people entrust their beloved pets in their care - do better PCMS. This is not the way you treat your patients.

We adopted our rescue dog a year ago and friends recommend we take her to Pet Medical Center of Springfield. They go above and beyond to make sure our dog is healthy as well as happy ?

Everyone here loves and takes good care of the patients. The vets are up on the latest medical treatments and kept our cat Patrick living with good quality of life for 18 years. When he was wearing sunglasses and wrapped in a beach towel after lazar treatment he looked so cute that the vet took a picture of him and texted it to us. This is one of the examples of the extra care pets receive at this practice.

I brought my French bulldog here for about a year because it was the closest to where I live. I've had a great experience with most drs there. today we encountered what I would call " a Money driven" vet Dr CARRIE STRICKLAND. my French bulldog gets very nervous at his vet appointments. he is prescribed meds to calm him down. I wasn't sure if he was going to get a same day appointment so I refrained from giving him the meds. he has been treated without meds before, but this Time he seems to have been more agitated and nervous. so they decided to book him on another day while he's on meds. that was totally fine by me. however, dr CARRIE STRICKLAND was very rude to my mother who brought my dog for the visit. she said " you wasted my time not giving him the meds, my time is money". she proceeded to only allow my dog to only be "dropped off" instead of a normal visit where we could be there with him. I wonder why.. she "suggested" which seems more of a request than a suggestion, to get him sedated. and if you know French bulldogs, you know you have to avoid sedation as much as possible due to their breathing issues. I explained I was not comfortable with that just to get his ear cleaned, and that he could be taken to another room while getting treated, but I would like to be there and wait for him. This is was extremely frustrating, and all in all a horrible encounter with a vet. when I see a money driven vet, I wouldn't trust them treating my dog. simple as that! first time this happened and I've visited that vet center an uncountable amount of time with other amazing doctors!

Originally gave it three stars, since I think Dr. Rosenbluth is very competent and appears to be a nice person. Having said that, a Consumers Checkbook review, mentioned that he did not push shots like other hospitals. I called receptionist to schedule appointment for a mass on my dog's ear, and ostensibly followed by surgery. I was advised that dog would have to be current on all shots. I stated, dog was behind by one month on rabies, and I thought current on all others. I emphasized that currently, I was concerned about the mass and did not worry about the shots, other than rabies. She may have mentioned to bring documentation, I do not recall, however, in view of urgency of mass I never imagined that anyone would give 3 shots in one day, and prior to surgery. Not a vet but I think shots decrease immunity. I was specific re dog's great fear of vets and wanted to minimize waiting to the seconds until Dr Rosenbluth was ready to see dog. Front desk agreed to call me while i waited in parking lot . Having been 3 yrs since last visit, dog could not remember parking lot, as such was not afraid at parking lot as in other hospital). They called me d, I was inside within a minute as I had advised. Go into exam room. Vet assistant comes in and we tried to weigh dog. To make it short, we sort of managed , even though he was crying , shaking, breathing hard and trying to get away. (has thyroid issue, and pulling on leash not healthy). IN any case, it felt like eternity until the Doctor came into room. 5-8 minutes? That is much suffering for dog.Agreement in vain. Exam performed, he advised if he was to operate, dog would have to be current on all vaccines. We were couple months behind on rabies, and planned on that. HOwever, other vaccines, either current, or in my view not needed. He gave rabies, and I believe distemper. In view of dog shaking, I asked doctor if dog and I could go outside while he explained procedures to my wife. (upon coming home i checked records and other hospital had done distemper 2 yrs ago,and they are good for 3 years, although some vets say immniity is for lifetime after first shot. (as pup, another vet, gave him scheduled normal shot, and rabies, and since we were not sure of age, it appears he got such at 14-16 weeks, and getting very sick.) WE schedule surgery, i go to check out, and told there is chance it can be done that week, since my wife had requested asap. Doctor Rosebluth, was very accomodating and it appers he could do that week but they would call to confirm. Once my wife and I are about to leave parking lot, she mentioned a presrcription the doctot mentioned. I called office, and asked if i can come inside to pick it up. Person that answered phone stated she would check with the doctor. I go inside to pick up prescription- 3-4 People at front office. Although my hearing is bad, upon asking about prescription i got blank stares. I repeated and same. No lips moving. Finally, Sarah, stated, no prescription needed since surgery was 2 days away as previously alluded that she would call me if such was confirmed by the doctor. Repeat, I asked 3-4 times and blank stares. Granted if they were wispering as many do today, I could not hear such. But saw no lips moving, and none of staff could simply talk in normal tone. I even stated, "just called 1 min ago re prescriprion , did call come here or someone in back office answer? no response!!! I was getting a condescendig look by receptionise Sarah, eg, you are deaf and stupid. (MA in Economics, 45 yard field goal kicker in football in college, dated the best of the best, and i am now at age 75 being treated like .... not a problem, i consider the source as they say). Wife and I leave. WE cancel appointment for that week, and reschedule original date, a month out, to "let dust settle" and do some research. I email Doctor Rosenbluth, with some questions, since my hearing was bad, left early in view of dog shaking, and wife's English is second language. Advised, he is out of office ,he may not check e mail, and my questions would

Just wonderful! Great people. Got a grooming appt same week of calling for the first time. Got a vet appt on a Sat. Only weird thing is I had to drop off before 8 and he wasn't ready until after 1. Maybe that's the way things are done here in VA. I'm just happy he's got a summer cut and a vet appt next week!! Totally recommend!
