Update: I spoke with Micheal who responded to my review below and he assured me that there would be steps taken to turn this into a learning opportunity. I appreciate the care, concern, and willingness to make sure that future visits are more pleasant.The staff here were incredibly rude. My kids and I were here today and we were there for over 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. One man was helping another woman so we were patiently waiting for space to ask for help- didn’t happen. A man walked in and he and her son were helped right away. Another man came out from back and asked if I needed anything as if I wasn’t standing in the middle of the store looking confused. He was also rather rude and jumped into a conversation between my son and I and ended up hurting his feelings. this is our first year in scouts and my son said he never wants to come here again because the people here in scout uniforms were so rude…way to model great behavior for a new scout. Oh, and also teach your male staff not to refer to our daughters as sweetie, it’s 2023. It’s weird.

Staff is super helpful and there is a wide selection of items available for my needs. Definitely will be visiting regularly.

This scout shop is decent, however, the staff is not always responsive and sometimes lacks the knowledge on the most up-to-date information when it comes to changes to requirement and rules.

My teenage son recently joined BSA. I had little to no knowledge of what was needed regarding his uniform. The staff was so helpful.

Good staff much better support from staff. As other scout stores it’s pretty expensive. Otherwise would prefer to go here rather than the Bethesda store.

Due to supply chain difficulties, Scout uniforms have been available only in very limited sizes. When we were there they had only men's and the girls regulation pants. So you might want to call ahead before going.

The lady in front desk was helpful to figure out the size of the uniforms however because of the global supply chain dilemma, they will receive the items with delays.

This is a great Scout store. Lots of merchandise and quality products. If you are into outdoor activities, the store may have the product for you. The prices are competitive with other outdoor retailers.

I'm first very delighted to see the diversity of the staff. I'm impressed by not only their knowledge of the product but their experience using it for they all have been in The Scouting movement as a number of Eagle Scouts work there. How can that not impress! They had a great deal of respect from the returning to the movement after 51 years being away. They made very helpful suggestions got equipping my camping equipment in preparation for wood badge.

Was extremely rude to my son. Scolded him while I was paying for taking the bag off the counter cause my card hadn't finished processing yet. Skinny kid with long hair. Rude. Very disappointed with this level of service and attitude from someone who's suppose to be a leader and role model.
