This review reflects my experience with the customer service provided by Manager Doreen. When working in a customer service role, possessing certain skills and a helpful disposition is essential. However, what I observed was a manager with an unprofessional attitude who seemed unwilling to spend a minute of their time to understand the customer and offer a solution. It reminded me of the frustration of dealing with a government office employee who, with a chip on their shoulder, might help you if they're in a good mood that day, but choose not to, they think no one will ever know. Despite having a defective item and a receipt, which I presented just four days after purchase, Doreen insisted that I drive 40 minutes to the original store for the return. "THEY were the ones who made the mistake" no other store can take the item back. As a manager, shouldn't she represent the company? No apologies were offered, nor were any alternatives suggested. Instead, the burden fell on the customer, who now had to spend 1 hour and 20 minutes round trip to rectify their mistake. This was particularly frustrating considering my almost weekly purchases at TJX/Marshalls/Homegoods. Thankfully, after reaching out to the original store, Nicole explained to me that they are a combined Marshalls/Homegoods store and I can go to any Homegoods store to return the item. I also spoke with Gwen, the manager at Homegoods who said " You can bring the item back, We'll take care of you" and assured me they would handle the return without issue. Thanks so much Nicole and Gwen, you represent what a store manager should be!

The cleanest store I’ve ever been in because usually I walk out at the door this store is clean all the employees are great it’s all hands on deck to get u out ASAP Springfield Marshells your above the rest

This Marshalls is not that big but it’s one of my favorite, always find wonderful things. It’s the most clean and organized that I visit.

Today I tried to gain store credit for multi gummy vitamins I purchased yesterday, that tasted expired despite it not being expired yet. The cashier said they cannot take the item back. I was not aware they don't take these food/beauty items back. The cashier stated "I can call my manager but she's going to say the same thing." The cashier still called the manager. The manager, Azza, approached. She didn't even introduce herself. Off the bat she said "Yeah, no. We aren't exchanging or doing refund and store credit. How can I put this back on the shelf and make money from it?" Wow...attitude so aggressive. The only reason I knew her name was because of her name tag. I tried to squeeze a word in and she shut me down saying no. I informed her these items may need to be pulled off the shelf and she said no. I was not trying to argue, considering my profession. She then complains about being busy and how someone stole from the store an hour ago, writing up a document. Not sure why I needed to know this information. I guess this was her way of saying this is the reason she has an attitude. I wouldn't be here writing a negative review if Azza was professional (AT LEAST). I asked her if she could throw the gummies away and she said "No. you can do it yourself." Then, she slid the item to me. I threw it away so quick in the front store's trash. Insane. I lost $6 no worries but the attitude and experience was belittling. I will NEVER shop there again.

Great selection and prices. However this is my third trip to that particular store midday it was before 3:00 p.m. and there are no staff to be seen, the checkout line had literally 15 people in it and it was not moving. I left my stuff. I will not go back to this location under any circumstances. I gave it two stars because of the selection and prices. Otherwise I would have given it zero.

Good selection of pumpkins & fall theme things. I also picked up a couple of clothing items. Store was neat, clean & nicely decorated.

Product quality for this chain (Marshall-TJX-Ross) is getting lower consequently. Prices (while below market average) are still high and well known brands are hard to see and buy. Springfield location is not bad, yet understaff and needs better products.

I have always bought in this store, spending a lot of money, the last time I wanted to use the restroom and i told the staff, they left me waiting for 15 minutes and no one came are not friendly at all.

Always come out with something when coming here. Inventory isnt what it use to be after covid. There seemed to be more things and options. Now, just come in when you need something specific... Look for it and leave. Still one of the more clean and organized Marshalls though. Not much shoes in the shoes section anymore. Doesnt have a jewelry /watch section either.
