Greenspring Senior Living Community is a beautiful place within the Erickson Living network. Many residents report loving it, with good experiences in independent living for many years. The community spirit is noted, with friendly residents and unfailingly kind staff. The apartments are described as lovely and very nice. The community receives praise for safety measures during the coronavirus pandemic and vaccination efforts. However, reviews advise moving in with eyes wide open. There is an additional charge for nearly everything, and rates increase annually, with some fees rising significantly. The in-home support rates increased sharply. The community makes money from the entry fee and charges an additional three months rent after a resident passes. Fee increases are described as ridiculous, far exceeding inflation. For care needs, there is a noted gap in services for middle-stage dementia, between the early memory loss program and full Memory Care. The lack of two-bedroom Assisted Living apartments is also a challenge. The social workers are highlighted as a fantastic and helpful resource. It is recommended to think into the future and visit all facilities, as the independent living stage does not last forever. Overall, it is a very nice community, great for the able-bodied and independent, but one should maintain a tight grip on their wallet.
I have lived at Greenspring for three years and everyday I'm thankful that I made this decision. I have a beautiful apartment, lots of new friends, 200 different clubs and groups to choose from for recreational and learning outlets, and good food I don't have to make! How can this be bad!

Greenspring exceeded our expectations for senior living in every way. We have been in independent living for over 11 years and good experiences the entire time.
