Bakery manager should be fired. Corporate sent them our order in error, messages for 2 sweet 16 cakes for our twins. Imagine our shock when we go to correct store and after waiting 40 minutes we find out corporate sent to wrong store somehow and this jerk just crumpled up order and didn't tell anyone, store, corporate, US. Get out of anything customer facing if you can't even bother to be a decent human being

I have been shopping at this Giant location for a couple years now. Overall, the staff is very friendly and the store has a good selection of products. However, their meat selection and quality has been drastically degrading over the last couple months. Cant even find prime cuts of beef anymore.

Long-time customer at this location. Worked at that store in the late 70s. Saw it demolished and reconstructed in 2015. Nice neighborhood grocery store!

If I had to say something negative about this store, it would only be that they need to staff the registers with more than just one or two checkers.

My experience at this grocery store was incredibly disappointing. The prices were exorbitant, making it feel like a luxury to buy everyday items. The most frustrating part was their unethical approach to advertising prices that are only accessible with a membership. It's misleading and feels like a deliberate ploy to trap customers into paying more for something.Furthermore, the company's decision to prioritize self-checkout over cashiers was a clear sign of their lack of consideration for customer service. While self-checkout might be convenient for some, it felt like they were cutting corners to save on labor costs at the expense of a more personalized shopping experience.Overall, this grocery store's overpriced items and questionable practices make it an undesirable place to shop. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, where I can get fair prices and better customer service.

My go to place for a yummy treat after work! The staff is pretty hands off but that's nice because I don't go to grocery stores to chat with the employees. Cashiers are usually very nice though. The one door closing at 10 pm is sometimes annoying though because then you have to walk all the way around the place to go inside. It's cold inside also.

I would often grocery shop at this Giant. It'a rather good grocery shop. I recently had 2 less than positive interactions with the clerk Helen at the self check out. The first time was when she came to inform me about the upgraded system at self check, explaning to me that it would monitor any unpaid items that were put into a grocery bag. That seemed inncuous by it self but I noticed that she did not proceed to tell this to any of the other customers at the check out machines. This felt odd and came across as unprofessional or impolite to me. Then today at 1 pm while checking out at the self service register , Helen comes up to me to check if I had scanned a pack of ground beef after I had put it in the grocery bag. She asked if I had scanned it while trying to look at the screen. I told her firmly and clearly that I had, several times. Again, I felt that this employee was profiling me by being unprofessional and thoughtless in a job that requires good people skills. After both incidences I told manager Phillip about her behavior. He said that he talk to her and chalked it up to her langauge skills and adequate training. Today after this happened, I suggested to manager Phillip that an employee such as Helen should not be supervising the self service registers. It's quite off putting. I have been shoping at Giant for some years now and I have never had this kind of experience with an employee. Not until Helen. I must say that shopping at LIDL in Burke has been pleasant and I shop at LIDL more than Giant now. But the employees at LIDL always seem to gracious and well trained. I hope management reads this. This was a less than pleasant Gaint shopping experience.

I generally shop at this Giant because it is the most convenient. However, I noticed a new policy when I was there this week (April 2023) that didn’t seem to make much sense: there is now a 20-item limit for the self checkout. I can understand why that might be helpful, at least in theory, but when I was there this week, there was a line at least 3-4 people deep for the one cashier while nearly all of the self checkouts were open. (As a side note, I have also noticed that the self checkouts are not open early in the morning, which means there is often a line for the one cashier that is working at that time). If the self checkout lanes are going to be limited, then have more cashiers working.

Selection is ok. Staff seemed to be standoffish. Trying to find a cheese and we had a very hard time and no help from staff, when asked they said I DON'T KNOW. So rude. Anyway the prices were crazy high. We won't be back. Sorry ?
