I was stunned into posting this review due to the bizarre customer experience I just had at Dubai Jewelers. The one positive thing I can say is that the man behind the counter was helpful, although curt and unfriendly in his demeanor. He was patient while I looked at different earring styles. I chose to buy a 310.00 pair of 22K gold studs. Before taking my credit card, he completed a handwritten receipt which had very minimal information about the product. He wrote "1 /earrings/22K/ 2.6g/price. I asked him to include more details about the earrings such as "2mm gold etched ball studs", and he refused to include any additional description. Since they only have an exchange policy, I believed it would be prudent to have a well written receipt in the event of any future transactions. He said this is how they complete all their receipts regardless of the style of the product. He offered me my credit card back and said "You can go somewhere else if you'd like". This is the part where I was stunned! Obviously, I left the store without purchasing the earrings. If there is anyone out there with insight on why a business would forfeit a $310.00 sale just because the customer requested a more detailed receipt, please enlighten me.Update: I went to Yasini jewelers in Falls Church the next day, and found some nice earrings. They also wrote out their receipt in a similar manner as Dubai, but they added adetailed product description at my request. They have a bigger selection of jewelry and their customer service is more friendly too.
