Waited much longer than the estimated time i was given. Even though i had booked an appointment online days in advance, it didn’t matter because they were over scheduled. 1.5 hours after my scheduled appointment time, they finally took the car to work on it, only for me to wait for over another hour.

This took place Monday, August 19th-
I feel bad for leaving a three star review, but if I were going in for services to this location, I would want to know.
I ordered my tires through the Costco website and was extremely pleased with how quick and easy the process was. Once I had my order number, I made the appointment for my tire installation and was very happy that they had the tires in stock and ready to go.
I made my appointment over the phone and confirmed that the installation would be around an hour, give or take. At 3:30pm, I was checked in promptly by a gentleman working the front desk. He was friendly and efficient and gave me my number to display on my car. He also confirmed that the wait time to complete my installation would be about an hour and a half to two hours. This was a bit longer than expected, but it was a Monday afternoon and you could tell they were busy working hard and taking care of everyone that walked in. He confirmed they would call me when my car was ready to go.
Instead of shopping around Costco to kill some time like I had originally planned, I just went home and to wait for the couple of hours they had quoted me. After 6:00pm rolled around, I hadn't heard anything from anyone. I assumed things were running longer than expected, and as it would be nearly three hours by the time I made it back down there, I headed back to check in and see how much longer it would be.
When I got back at about 6:30pm, I checked in with the lady that was manning the front desk now. She asked for my vehicle's information and then went in the back to check on the progress. When she returned, she wouldn't look me in the eye and nonchalantly said that she didn't know what happened but that they were running behind and it was going to be at least another hour longer.
At this point, I was getting frustrated. I just left to go have a bite to eat nearby to wait for my tire installation to be completed. And after another hour, I still hadn't heard anything back.
When I called the tire center to check in again, the lady answered the phone. I assume she recognized my cell phone number from the file because without me saying anything, she said my car was now ready to pick up. This was at 7:40 at night. But whatever, at this point I am just happy it's finished and this night can be over.
When I picked up my keys and inquired why it ended up taking over four hours to complete a tire installation- she again looked away and said, "I don't know, I guess somebody took in too many walk-ins or something. Sorry about that." And that was that.
I can appreciate that things can get hectic and technicians get behind, and I understand that working with the public can be taxing. But what I don't appreciate is the complete lack of communication and the sense of indifference. Would it still have sucked to wait four hours? You betchya. But it could have been somewhat appeased if someone had at least checked in and tried to let me know that they were running behind, or for the woman to give a clearer explanation with some kind of regard or concern.

long line of walk ins even though sign says appointment only. i had to wait in the line for over 20 minutes for my appointment. i didn’t realize it takes them over a month to ship my tires. i was given an estimate of 10-14 days and its been 4 weeks now. i’m really disliking the miscommunication and unprofessionalism of this place, i will not be returning. they need to be able to communicate to there costumers that shipping takes over a month because i would not have purchased if i had known that. what a rip off.
trying to get a hold of someone in the customer service center is seeming near impossible. everytime i call it says i need to call back at normal buisness hours then hangs up on me. it reads that there hours are 5am-8pm and i call at 7-8am and it says they are still closed.
edit: tires have just shipped after 4 weeks but are still not delivered! they are unable to provide any information on the location and status of my order or any explanation why they are still not here yet. EXTREMELY unprofessional. refunds are not allowed until tires have been delivered. there’s much better tire centers for low prices in this area, AVOID COMING HERE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!

They don't answer the phone. They're always "extremely backed up" and take forever to do anything. Even if you have an appointment, don't expect them to start on your car for hours.
I had an appointment to have a tire repaired on friday, and it took them over 2 hours to call me and tell me the tire needs to be replaced. They hardly had any tires in stock that would fit my corolla, so they ordered some for me and said they would probably arrive on Tuesday. I scheduled an appointment to have the tires put on on Tuesday, and Today (Tuesday) I tried calling to see if the tires arrived and they just left me on hold for over 10 minutes so I hung up and called back later. I called 4 more times, and they wouldn't answer the phone.
What is the point of scheduling appointments if you're never going to do anything on time? Do y'all just take a bunch of walk-ins and put off all the people who had appointments, or are you just booking a ton of appointments on top of each other?

Unfortunately they were light staffed and only had 2 techs took forever even with an appt. They do good work once they get to it.

Appt 4:15

Anyone can beat this?

I always love to visit Costco. Tire people told me that tire rotation and balance may take 5-6 hours as I don't have appointment. They are able to finish in 2 hours.

This was my first time having tires installed here. I was blown away by the whole process. Costco Tire Center puts other places to shame. It was so easy to go online, select my tires, pay, and schedule an appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted by Will. He was super knowledgeable and very friendly. He checked me in and not even 5 mins later I saw one of the technicians moving my car to the bay. It took about an hour which isn’t bad at all. I liked that they had some aftercare recommendations to get an alignment and to come back for a torque check (that process was also a breeze). I especially love the 5 year warranty. I couldn’t find any other place that offered that. Plus, free tire rotation and balance for the life of the tires and free installation. Did I mention they use nitrogen to fill up the tires?! Costco Tire Center for the win!!! The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was their system when the tech finished the cars. They simply place a print out on the front counter instead of verbally telling the front desk staff that the car is ready. I spent an extra 25 minutes waiting because of this. I had to let Will know that my car was ready. However, the pros still outweighed the one con. Needless to say, this is definitely my new go to for any of my tire needs. Thank you!!!

Seems like the place was understaffed for the volume this place does. The on line appointment site was worthless and for 2 days nobody answered the phone.

Have the worst visit at Costco tire center, so I order 4 tires on the 4th, make a appointment for tires installment on 16th, the day I went in front desk say I was missing a tire and it only been 8 business day, you have to wait btw 7-10 business, and today is the 10th business day I check the shipping and tracking, notice he lie to me, the tracking show all 4 tires was delivered at 5th from baltimore same day. Sooo where my last tire went, feel if they want to use my tire that I pre order at least replace asap, not when customer want to install wouldn’t be there, just feel angry and sad how they treat their customer

I ordered one tire on December 30. I was told that I would receive a call when it came in the store. I called on Jan 9th to check on the tire. It arrived on Jan 3rd and no one called. So I scheduled an appointment and, the soonest they could get me in was 4:30p on Jan 15. Dropped off my truck at 4:30p and, it was not even in the back till 5:30 and it took them nearly an hour to put on ONE TIRE! When I got my truck back, I noticed that my center cap for my rim was not on and sitting on my passenger seat, broken! I took it back in to tell them that they broke my center cap and the excuse I received was that it was an old cap. That’s my experience, not a great one in my eyes. I will be looking for a new tire shop.

Great folks. Took us in, sold us and installed new tires right away. No appointment needed. Didn’t have to wait half a day. They did it all in less than an one hour.

Called at 8:03. Because my tire is flat and I needed to get a tire change. They were very unprofessional when answering, put me on hold and hung up the phone. I called again an hour later, because I assumed I called too early and gave them time to get ready. Who ever answered the phone the second time had a very unprofessional tone and sound like he didn’t care at all. I never had this problem with any other Costco tire center till this on.

Had a scheduled tire rotation at noon. At 1:20 pm I was told they were backing it out of the garage but that I had to wait at the desk for the key. 50 minutes later I complained again and they found the key. When I went out to my car it was unlocked and running. No idea if it had been running for the full 50 minutes. Service at this location is awful.

Took half a day to mount 4 tires after I made an appointment and they said it would take 90 minutes. They promised they would call if it was going to take longer than 90 minutes so I could adjust my day and never did. I’m sure the crew is working hard but customer service is not high on their list. Basically had to take a day of vacation from work to sit on a curb and wait for them to turn my car back over. I’ll never buy or service my car here again.
