Such a beautiful farm to buy your fruits and fresh vegetables but not only the owners are such lovely people. They also have a small grocery store. It is amazing how they have everything in a such small place. They are incredible

Probably best pie I've ever had. Roy himself is quite the personality and was really funny and charming. Roy deserves his own tv show or at least podcast. Well done Roy and Roy's wife for making the pie!!

There's so many farmers markets in between route 66 and Shenandoah National Park that it's hard to know which one to stop at. We didn't want a touristy one, so this is the one we stopped at. The hours at this store are impressive - 8am to 8pm 7 days a week. The owners are definitely hard workers! I didn't meet Janet but Roy was to the point when I asked questions. A bushel is $36, and a half bushel is $18. A half bushel bag is a lot smaller than the box that they call a bushel, so we decided to buy a bushel. You can fill the box up with whichever apples you want. They have a big selection of apples, including some I'd never heard of (eg, Virginia Gold). Roy was attentive and told me when the box was full and that I should stop adding apples. It wasn't quite all the way to the top, but it was still a good deal. If I'm in the area, I'll probably stop by again!

My husband and I have been going to Roy and Janet's for apples, pumpkins, produce, farm goods and fresh baked pies for fifteen years or more. We make the drive all the way from Fredericksburg VA because there's no just no better place to visit. Roy has the winesap apples you can rarely find these days and the farm is breathtaking. Roy and Janet make you feel like family whether it's your first visit or your hundredth visit. It's a jewel of a little place snuggled up on a beautiful mountain top surrounded by farmland and orchards. Take your family and make a day of it. It's more than a trip to to get apples or pumpkins. I promise you won't be sorry.

Wow, where do I begin. This property is a working farm/store.My discovery first off is cash or check. No credit cards are accepted. This is not a big deal, just be prepared. There are so many offerings here based on the season. We were looking for peaches and found a bunch to choose from.Fresh fruits availablePeaches, nectarines, cantaloupe, berries and many more.Home made ice cream sold here.Mason jar home canned items to include.Various jellies, jams, salsa, honey, chow mixes, beans, apple butter and such.We picked up some local honey with the comb in it while there.Local meats were offered here.Pork, home made sausages, maybe some steaks. There was a large assortment of convenience store items similar to what you would find at a 7/11 or Wawa.PiesThere was an assortment of fresh baked pies to pick from. Yum.We picked up a peach pie and were delighted with it.ApplesThere is an apple orchard on site and during apple picking season I am to understand there is a separate out building for just apples. We easily spent over $100.00 on items over 2 trips there and are very happy we got to go to this farm market and meet Roy and his wonderful wife Janet. This will be a return visit next time we are in the area.# VeryHappyCustomers

Does not take cards. No signage to indicate their policy and very rude about it. It's 2023, get PayPal, Venmo or Square.

Drove past the Roys Orchard sign on the way back from a cousin’s house and it made my wife and I remember a time about 3-4 years ago when we stopped in to buy apples. We accidentally bagged the wrong ones so we asked a man we believed to be Roy if we could put them back and he told us no that we had to buy the ones we bagged and that if we put them back in the bin they would be damaged. We were taken back by his rudeness and should have walked out but we bought them anyway. We haven’t been back since and never will.

This actually looks like a pretty great little farm market out in the beautiful Virginia countryside. I am just a little annoyed because I took a 10 minute detour for my route based on a sign they put on the highway.I was not able to purchase anything because they only except cash or check and they failed to include that information on their sign. But if you have cash than it looks like a really great place and it also looks like it’s someones garage or something

Roy and Janet are the hardest working and friendliest people I know. They represent the best Rappahanock County has offer! We love their produce, ice creams and freshly baked pies!

Wow, this isn’t just fruits and vegetables. They have a large selection of food items for purchase. Spices, meat, ice cream, soda, canned goods, cakes, preserves, honey, sorghum, and lots more. We will defiantly be back when we are in the area.

We just ate the best meal for a long time from here. Roy selected a couple of rib eye steaks from Edinburg, and I added fresh zucchini, potatoes, corn and asparagus, pulled from his garden. Followed with fresh strawberries, we had a divine meal. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great experience at Roy’s Orchard this morning. They have a great selection of types of apples as well as a small store with grocery items, locally grown meats, and niche treat items like quality sodas and the best ice cream sandwiches I’ve ever had. I highly recommend making the time to visit Roy’s. I know we will be back!
