I’m from out of town and needed emergency repairs on my vehicle. My daughter found this shop and they didn’t disappoint. My car went in late on Saturday evening; I received a detailed summary of the items to be fixed and an estimate of the cost. They were closed on Sunday but promised it on Monday. My car drives like a new machine! I highly recommend them—the professional attention I received from everyone I encountered by phone and in person was A-plus. Do check out these Hogans!Ms. B Turner.

I was in need of a new battery for my car's key fob. I went to a repair shop in close proximity to Hogan & Sons (which shall remain nameless). There I was told that they did not have the battery that I needed and further told me to order it on line. This is a pretty large operation. You can't find a small battery? Not satisfied, I went to Hogan & Sons. The gentleman behind the desk found the battery that I needed, installed it for me, and did not charge me for it. Excellent! Great service!

Thanks to the team for helping me get a last minute appt on a Saturday for my state and safety inspection. No judgment on their end when I brought in my car 6 days past expiration ? They even aligned my tires same day!! Thank you again for the services provided!!!

Hogan and Sons provide exceptional service. Both Kory and Mario were very helpful, friendly, and informative. I had my inspection completed at Hogan and Son, the format of the information provided was very helpful as it showed me what that will need to be addressed. I will have those items addressed through Hogan And Sons.

Took my Mercedes c300 here because of a failed secondary air injection pump. They charged me $1,100 for the part alone. I should've did research prior to letting them do the work because I later found out that the part really only ranges from $150-$200. I can understand a slight markup, maybe 50% to even 100%. But a 700% markup? This is taking advantage of people. Separate from that, I witnessed a weird interaction with the mechanic and the service receptionist. A mechanic came to the front with a part and openly admitted that he broke the part and didn't know how to put it back together. Me and the receptionist were both perplexed as to why this was being said out loud in front of a customer. The mechanic was basically shushed away. I have a $100 in rewards in my account so in theory, I could get a free oil change, or neer free, but I wouldn't trust them with my car nor do I find their prices fair. Go to Gum Spring Auto Care. The folks there are fair and honest people.

Standard service of oil change And tire rotation. They don’t rotate the tires and have tried to say they did. I’ve used this place for years and had to replace my tires prematurely (a little over2 years old, low mileage). They told me that it was because I didn’t take care of my tires by rotating them. The surprise was that the only place I’d taken my car for service was to them, and each time I asked for standard oil change and tire rotation. Turns out they never rotated my tires. I started marking my tires so I could tell if they rotated them during oil service. Turns out that they don’t rotate the tires when you ask. Works pretty well for a tire business that can sell you tires when yours are ruined. I am guessing at this point that this is standard practice for them to lie and say they did the work based on the numerous times I’ve caught them and I’m just one guy who’s brought my car in for the last six years.

The good - Morning service advisor and work done was good. Great job with the vehicle it is running well and the warranty is awesomeTHE BAD - we spent over $2500 on repairs. It had been raining heavily off and on all last weekend. We go to pick the car up and the back window is down. I look in the vehicle water is everywhere. Luckily the seats are leather so that wasn't the problem the carpet was of course wet. I go into the place and I am like let me get the keys so I can roll the window up before it rains again. The advisor asks the window is down? Calls whoever drove the vehicle and he says the he didn't roll it down. I tell him that I assure you its down. He walks out looks and says mmmmh. NO APOLOGY nothing just mmmmh? So we pay over $2500 and then the service advisor says stay dry on our way out. That's when I responded with it'll be kinda hard with the swimming pool in my vehicle. He said oh. Again no apology. Won't be returning here the juice isn't worth the squeeze if you can't even say sorry for a mistake that you clearly made. UNREAL (in a bad way) customer service at the end. It started off well but ended terribly.

I used to go to VA Tire & Auto down the road for years but after one too many bad experiences, I decided to try out Hogan & Sons. They impressed me right from the start! Kory, Daniel, and the team are so incredibly nice and patient, and the process itself was so easy. The staff are very honest and transparent. They will definitely be my go to for any future work!

I left the store quite upset. They couldn’t pinpoint the exact cause of my problem, but they did identify $3,500 of repairs that were “absolutely necessary”. At some point during our conversations, they changed their diagnosis, but it still didn’t fit the problem. The best suggestion I got was from an Uber driver.Ultimately, I decided to hold off on the repairs. I did find another large chain store that quoted the same repair for $1,000 less.I arranged to retrieve the car and Ubers over there. That’s when they told me I owed them money. I have no problem with a check out fee and I don’t take issue with the amount. I have an issue that we didn’t discuss it when I brought the car in for service. Their competitor down the street posts the checkout fee in big you-can’t-miss-it print indicating it is waived if repairs are pursued.This little, but almost $100 thing really put me. I left to find my car. I had to find it because they didn’t tell me where my car was parked.I’ve overlooked their lack of customer service in the past because I thought they did pretty good work.I cannot overlook the failing in this area of their business any longer.

Took my car here about a week ago. I knew something was wrong with my brake line, needed an inspection and an oil change. They changed the oil and then told me the hose for my brake line was pinched and I needed about $4k of work because that pinch had caused all these problems which caused me to fail inspection. After paying their $246 bill for the oil change, diagnostic and failed inspection I took it to another mechanic and they told me that H&S was just trying to strong arm me into extra stuff. They also didn't give me the techs name and state id number. Ended up with a bill for $250 because I didn't need most of what they were trying to do. Would not recommend.

Ask for Corey. He is very transparent and honest. Had given me a quote that beats out competition everytime... always fair price and quality work. My last service Corey went out of his way multiple times for me while I was out of town.

UPDATE: They covered the entire cost of the oil change. Giving 3 stars, for now. I'll give them another chance when I'm due for my next service.Do not come here! I just needed a simple oil change, they said 1-2 hour wait so found someone to pick me up. 3+ hours later I called for an update, they told me it's next in line and will be ready within the hour. An hour later I arrive and my car still hadn't been seen. I'm waiting in the waiting room now. No apology - will never come here again. There are so many businesses close by that offer the same service, go somewhere else.

Beware of them trying to strong arm you into unneeded services to pass inspection. Went in for new tires and a state inspection. They did a great job mounting the tires but said the front brakes where below the wear limit. I declined their service and labor charge as changing out pads is a simple at home task. Pulled the tires at home and the pads are about 1/8" less than the new pads and the wear indicator has plenty of life left (Just my opinion but pic attached if you want to decide for yourself). They conveniently did not provide me with the Inspection report with the inspectors name and State ID# which makes me think they know what they are doing. Took the car to a different VA inspection site and passed with no issue without spending $150+ in extra services.
