Editing my previous review; we had thought our possessions had been stolen or sold because of a mishap in recordkeeping. Jimmy got to the bottom of what happened to our stuff (which we got back!) and is extending free rent to us for as long as we do business with them as his apology. Very kind fellow, very happy to have worked with him!

Our company recently needed a storage unit for a large project we were working on in the area of West Denville, Virginia. Mr. Stevens was very polite and provided a clean unit large enough to accommodate our needs. The ease for which we were able to access our unit made our project operations so much simpler and smother than what I had anticipated. Chesbay Landscaping will work with this facility for future storage needs in this area as project need presents itself. We enjoyed our experience with West Denville Mini Storage Facility. Thank you Mr. Stevens for helping to simplify our project's logistics.

The owner of this company, Vernon Stevens is a thief. False billing and bookkeeping practices. He and his local contact Ryan Durham, South Hill Police officer, falsely confiscate people's property and slickly sell it or keep it without following state statute and regulations. From day one, the billing, done by website, sent errors and other tenant's private information to me. We were locked out of our initial assigned unit before we even used it, although it had been paid through automatic draft. When items were placed in another assigned unit, they were confiscated and illegally sold. However, the items, totally almost 5000.00 were apparently sold to a friend or kept for private use as neither representative can produce notification or sales records. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! Dishonest, shady, incompetent, thieves. Anyone wishing to confirm may contact me. I have documentation.

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE! This company and their local representative (who is a town police officer) are thieves. False billing, lack of proper record keeping resulted in the confiscation of almost 5000.00 in brand new appliances. They offer no proof of billing, advertised sale, or purchaser. It is suspected they confiscated the merchandise for personal use and gain. Anyone wishing to confirm through documentation, please contact me.

ZERO STARS. THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES. False billing, stolen merchandise, etc. We rented a storage unit from Vernon Stevens, owner. We immediately began receiving late notices, (48 hrs after paying by auto draft) Next we received lock out notices for other tenants. When we arrived to use our unit, he had rented it to another person. Asked us to remove their lock and throw their stuff out. We would not. He then assigned us two smaller units for the trouble and mistakes. When we arrived two months later to move more stuff in, 5,000.00 worth of brand new, still in the original packaging, commercial appliances had been confiscated and supposedly sold by the local agent, SH Police Officer Ryan Durham. They can produce no notice of billing, sale, or purchase. It is presumed they either kept if for personal use or shadily sold it to a friend and pocketed the cash. UNBELIEVABLE! We are not the only ones, we spoken to other tenants that have had the same issues. Their is no recourse other than civil suit. They know this and have manipulated the system with expertise. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE, YOUR VALUABLES ARE NOT SAFE. Anyone wishing to contact me for documentation please do so. I will update this review as the civil suit proceeds. Anyone who has experienced questionable business and billing practices by this company please contact me.
