I like the Rite Aid pharmacy in Smithfield. The associates are very pleasant when I visit and many of the pharmacy staff remember me each month when I come in. Teresa, Melynda and Caitlin are especially helpful. This pharmacy, like so many other businesses right now, are struggling with both labor shortages and drug shortages that are beyond their control. They do frequently get behind in filling prescriptions which I realize can be frustrating to people who need their medications urgently. However, last week I needed 2 antibiotics that my physician had called in the day before. They were not ready but I was told if I came inside to wait for them, they would fill them right then. I did so and waited about 20 minutes and left with my needed medications. I appreciate them and will continue to fill my family's prescriptions at this location.

They take 7+ days to feel your prescription. They will not answer your phone calls. I just pulled all of my prescriptions to them and went with a non-chain pharmacy. I wont be coming back. They are rude and incompetent. I'll probably file a complaint with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. I shouldn't have to give them even 1 star to leave a comment.

The Rite Aid pharmacy in Smithfield is a joke. My dentist called in a antibiotic prescription to them Friday morning. It's been over 24 hours and it's still not ready in fact the pharmacy said it could be next Tuesday before they will have it ready. What is going on????

My provider changed my dosage of a medication from once daily to twice daily. Repeatedly I have had to argue and clarify that this is now a twice daily medication, that I need twice the pills (60 instead of 30), and have still had to pay out of pocket a rate almost 4 times higher than my copay for a SEVEN day supply. Today, when I was supposed to be able to get my 30 day supply finally, my husband brought my rx home and it was for SEVEN DAYS AGAIN. I have now paid $57 more, for a 2 week supply total, than I would have for a month had they clarified the dose with my insurance. They haven’t returned my provider’s calls and she is appalled that they wanted to charge me what they stated would be the 30 day self pay charge. The whole ordeal is a mess and I am left livid and planning to leave Rite Aid. I never write negative reviews but this location is a MESS.

My review is on the store as a business. The people that work there are kind & helpful EXCEPT 1......But I DON'T understand how they can let a person (tech) that is as rude & disrepectful as she is allows her to even work with the public, she gives nasty looks, rolls her eyes and acts as if your a bother, also acts as if she's the pharmacist and she determines when & if you get your meds .I don't get why Rite Aid employs such a rude, nasty attitude, and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS human being..... I know for a fact Rite Aid has had multiple calls on her (not by me YET) I've been told by many YET they still employ her..which says alot about Rite Aid...I've been kind and have held my tongue but the day is coming where I'm sick of her nasty attitude & her rudeness and refuse to be treated this way by HER.... #addressthisRiteAid

Just as long as I do not get the, same rude unenthusiastic woman checking me out ..the experience is great. But this one lady erases everything positive. Acts like she hates her job.. does not want to engage, no matter how nice the customer is.. she does not have the time of day. Really very rude. Needs to find a job away from interacting with customers. . This is after 4 consecutive interactions. . So at this point.. every day is a bad day for this, woman.

Love this rite aid location, I'm from Smithfield and have grown up and moved away yet I still call this location for any concerns about my kids medicine or my medicine. When I go home to see my family I try to make it my business to stop in to see the pharmacy crew. Sharon, Teresa, Kim, Nina and Melynda are a good team of lovely women who are always willing to answer any questions I may have....my rite aid family.
