I searched high and low for a wonderful vacation getaway located in Shenandoah or Luray, Virginia. We wanted something meaningful and special to us because we wanted it to feel like home. We found just that with “Exquisite River Paradise”; a beautiful home located along the Shenandoah River. We have booked this home away from home for several years now for our Valentine Wedding Anniversary and 4th of July vacations. This home brings complete peace and comfort to anyone that has had the pleasure to stay here. I jokingly tell Terye, the rental manager to tell the owners this is my home now because I never want to leave. This home offers three bedrooms, a completely furnished kitchen, a beautiful dining room, two full bathrooms, living room, a hot tub, and a grand porch complete with a patio set, chase lounges, and rocking chairs. The porch offers a scenic view of the river, mountains, and an old steel bridge. We have had the pleasure of furry visits from deer, rabbits, mink, and of course the wild ducks. There are even canoes for those who want to enjoy the river. It also offers an outdoor grill for any guest who is the master at barbecuing. We have learned our way around the area pretty well and have experienced some of the local restaurants and even made special trips to various flea markets, and antique shops, We have also ventured out to Warm Springs and Hot Springs to tour the Omni Homestead Resort and view one of the grand waterfalls. For those unfamiliar with Luray, VA which is approximately 20 minutes from Exquisite River Paradise, make sure you check out the Luray Caverns and one of the oldest hotels called the Mimslynn Inn. I cannot thank our wonderful rental manager, Terye enough for her amazing personality and dedicated service. The owners Tim and Becky are top notch! They transformed an old farmhouse into a gem!! I would highly recommend Shenandoah River Getaways to anyone!! I am literally counting down the days till our next trip!!
