Absolutely horrendous. We haven’t ordered here in awhile but usually it’s not great but ok Chinese. We spent $70 on food tonight. My husband literally had three lettuce leafs and 2 carrots in his “salad in a cup”. He had more dressing than salad. My $8 fried wontons were fried dough with NO meat in them see the pics. My kids meal was the best part which was the least expensive and even with the soggy fries was the best part of this meal. I will NEVER order from this place again. I get it times are tough but u are losing patrons. I rather drive 25 mins to chimms Thai pay a little less and get much better quality and portioned food. Do NOT WASTE UR TIME OR MONEY. SO very upset.

Our family typically do not order out. However, tonight was a special night and for what we paid for, we did not get our money's worth. For starters, the general tso chicken was soggy and the fried chicken was extra crispy without flavor. This must have been an off day for them.

I can’t even fathom how you guys are still in business. I call to place and order and after I’m done ordering you tell me you thought I would order more than that. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order you are very rude and unprofessional and threw my card back at me . I have never ordered food from your business and I never will again.

We got chicken chow mein and pork with garlic sauce. The chow mein didn’t have any or little noodles and was basically soup and the pork had 6 thin small pieces of pork and while I lot of minced garlic was visible, there was little garlic flavor. Very disappointing considering we have to drive 30 minutes for take out.

Great Chinese food. Hit the spot. Order was ready 20 minutes after ordering. It’s not the best Chinese I’ve had, but it’s solid. Reasonably priced. Only annoying thing was when you order crab Rangoon, they still charge you extra for the dipping sauce ?

With only 5 restaurants In this little town 25 minutes south of Charlottesville, I'm thankful there's some vegan options available overall. Although I'm still pleased with Beijing Kitchen, I wish the owners would reopen the dining room that's been walled off since the pandemic lockdown. Most people order ahead for takeout, but they kept 2 tables for 4 people to dine in or sit while waiting for their orders. A wheelchair will get in through an awkward entry door. Their extensive menu offers both single items and lunch and dinner combos and specials, including some vegetarian offerings and vegan items like Hunan Tofu...my favorite. You can opt for brown rice or white rice, their fried rice and egg rolls are obviously not vegan. There's also some American fare, a kid's menu, and vegans can enjoy French Fries that are prepared separately instead of the same oil with fish or chicken.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of offerings without any eggs, fish, dead mammals or birds.Parking: Both Valley Street and Main Street further down have free parking.Wheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair patron can get in through the entrance, but it's easier with someone's help holding the door open

I was really excited we were getting a chinese restaurant. As construction neared completion, i was brimming with anticipation. It was underwhelming and staff was rude in the sort of way you are accustomed to in some hole in the wall chinese spots. Then they added hibachi... and suddenly we had a decent Japanese option. Was a reasonable cost for hibachi you dont see getting made. Then COVID ruinrd everything. They closed the dining section, built a fortress of clear plastic and seemingly doubled their prices. They got rid of their lunch specials... and there is only so much I am willing to pay for mediocre lo mein.

Awesome place! You must go here. Amazing and delicious food packed full of flavor and good customer service. The dude behind the counter was super nice and funny. Staff is great. I don’t get to come here often but when I get to I never regret it. Fairly priced (economy is going through it. I understand how it be.) and good portion sizes. They give you just the right amount. Wait times vary but the food is as fresh as it gets and most of the time it’s not more than 15 minutes. GO TO BEIJING KITCHEN!!!!!!

I generally don't leave negative reviews however after the two almost exact experiences I had about 6 months apart at this restaurant, I had to warn others. We don't eat out often, but sometimes a break from cooking is so nice. It makes me sad that when I try for a relaxing night to eat out instead of cooking that I am then stressed and dissatisfied. So here the story goes. After calling in an order for pickup 6 months ago, being told 30 minutes and then arriving and waiting almost another hour, the food was cold and not good. We decided to try them again on Friday night. 1/20/2023.This time I was given a timeline of 45 minutes, but on a Friday night I understand, at least I thought they were proactively warning of wait times. On the way I was reminiscing about the previous experience, knowing that it couldn't be as bad. I walked in the door to 4 other people waiting with unhappy looks on their faces. I should have just asked about the wait then. Seeing a bag on the counter I had high hopes it was mine. The cashier, a young man, who gave me my total and took my payment and said it would be another few minutes, was not friendly or communicative about a wait longer than a few minutes. I took my place in the lobby and waited. I got my food at 6:54pm, at 5:44pm was when I had called in. Waiting for Chinese for 1hour and 10 minutes is not normal, but at this place it is. This time at least it was only another almost 30 minutes, but still that's a bit ridiculous. Not one single person waiting received an explanation or an apology or a discount. If I had been informed when I walked in the door that it would have been another 30 minutes, I could have at least made the decision before paying to wait or just go home. I paid an overpriced amount for food that was not hot, not good, and extremely late. There are not many places to eat in Scottsville, I really hope they fix some of their issues. It would be nice for people to want to eat there instead of eating there because there are not any other choices. I'm never taking the chance again. Your customer service sucks. Good luck Beijing Kitchen.

Biggest problem check your order have them read it back to you. I like the food, less americanized than others.

Excellent Cantonese style chinese. Cimperable to chinese in larger cities. Always grab takeout from here when in S’ville.

This place is better than your usual Chinese place! Great quality and service. I am a regular and recommend their sesame chicken & egg rolls.

I don’t live in the area but have seen this place when I go for my treatments at UVA. Late appt today so decided to stop and get dinner to take home. Food was high for the amount we got. I guess not what we are use too. And I ordered the hibachi chicken meal, the chicken was so dry and the veggies weren’t done. I couldn’t eat it. My daughter and husband got the another chicken meal, they said it was good.

I go to Scottsville every 6 weeks while I’m there I order take out from this place. The last visit the food wasn’t as good as it normally is but anyplace can have a bad meal day. When I went yesterday the price for the same meals had gone up by $1dollar each the portions was cut by at least 1/3 and the food was horrible, there won’t be a third visit.
