“I can express how wonderful Dr Callahan and the staff at Mechanicsville Animal Hospital are! I had to put down my service fur baby. They were so compassionate and made awful situation as best as they could. Dr Callahan was so gentle with the process. This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. But, they all were so sweet, kind and respectful of our feelings. I can’t even put it in to words how much I appreciated them. RIP Hera Rose 10/7/2024”
“We brought our dog in to get a growth on the top of his head removed and sent for biopsy and while he was under get his teeth examined and cleaned and nails trimmed. The staff was very professional and kind and did an amazing job taking care of my boy. His teeth look so great (though he had to get one removed - but his breath does not stink anymore) and it was worth the hour and a half drive to Richmond. The care and the price cannot be beat.”

“I recently took my 8-week-old puppy, Lucy, to see Dr. Wormley for her wellness check and routine tests, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Dr. Worley was incredibly caring and thorough, making sure Lucy felt comfortable throughout the visit. It was a nice surprise to receive a follow-up call from Dr. Wormley today, checking in on our new puppy's progress.
We’ve also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Kilgore in the past, who is equally amazing. This veterinary practice truly stands out for its kind, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a compassionate and skilled team to care for their pets!”

Blood work,x-rays,medication, update vaccine plus full examination standard fees is cost$223. All I had was $42. And thats what it costed. Full top-notch services given with kindness and care!”

“I love Dr. Zuccaro (Dr. Mike is what I refer to him as, but he also goes by Dr. Z. LOL) and his entire team. I started going there a little over 15 years ago with my yellow lab, Harley. I recently had to put her down, and he was so kind and sweet. He remembered me bringing her in the first time and how they saved her life as a 7.6 lbs puppy. His clinic was the only one she ever visited, and I will continue to see only him and his team for all my future pet care needs. I highly recommend his clinic.”

“I found my first ever dog about a month ago. Just by looking at her you could tell her body was going through a lot. I took her to Hanover green where they assessed her and were so kind and patient with all of my concerns and questions. One of Maisie’s diagnoses was heart worms. Upon finding this out I was so worried but Dr. Germane was so kind and took the time to thoroughly explain the next steps and even let me look at the little worms under the microscope. Everyone I’ve come across here has been so kind and wonderful. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Maisie looks like a whole new pup now and we are both so thankful for and can’t say enough great things about everyone at Hanover Green!”

“This place is the best. We have been coming here since we moved to the area in 2020, and they feel like family to us now. They’re great with both our dog and our cat, but most of all they just make it easy to take our animals there. They work us in when we have a sick dog and they have a cancellation, they are affordable, and they never push anything at us. Carrie and Rebecca in the front office are the best, and the doctors and techs are so kind and loving to the animals. If I lived 2 hours away, I’d still come here.”
