“Ryder Scott’s Addition-The mechanics and managers at the Scott’s Addition location went above and beyond to make a really bad situation right. We had the refrigeration unit go in our 1st truck and them hours later in the replacement truck. It was a nightmare situation on our biggest job of the year. It sucked, cost us a ton of money, time and stress but we still needed a working reefer truck. They got me a temporary reefer so I could deliver the replacement product, for spoiled food we had to throw out. I was able to get it there in time to keep our business open. The mechanics and managers at the Scott’s Addition location did not rest till they got us straight. I know the last thing they wanted was to have these vehicles break and for them to have to spend all day and night not only trying to fix the vehicles but then actually locating a new truck and the driving it to our location, an hour away. Along with helping us move a thousand pounds plus of perishable product over to the new reefer truck. They promised me they would make it right and they delivered on their promise.-In life and business no matter how prepared you may think you are bad things are always going to happen. It is how you deal with those problems that make the difference. The Scott’s Addition Ryder team are truly special people. They took a terrible situation, and did everything possible to make it right? I wish I could remember their names to mention them here in hopes that someone in their upper management could see and know how good these employees are.-In the end we were able to pull off our job in the black. 900 N Lombardy St, Richmond“I've never used UHaul before so I didn't know the process. In my head, the dolly I was renting was inside the truck and the truck was waiting for me with gas in it. None of this happened. I had to walk the dolly out (there was no demonstration on how to use it and wasn't asked if I needed one). The truck was in the back of the area and I had no idea how what I was supposed to be matching my key to. When I found the truck, the back was open for me which was nice but I had to spend 15mins trying to figure out how to unload the ramp and open and close the door. I was told it was on a 1/2 tank of gas, it was less than that (more like a quarter). When I got the truck to the loading location, I couldn't get the back door open! One of the movers (Tony and Lamar from Outside the Box. AMAZING GUYS!) had to open it for me. The move to the unloading location was great, until I had to open the door again (I got nowhere). I had to go buy a mattress and box spring (not planned), so I drove the truck so that I could load it then. When I got my bed, I couldn't open the door. The amazing sales gentleman was able to open it and he and my saleswoman quickly got the beds into the truck. Got to my new place, couldn't open it again, however my next blessing was Jose and Ian (who's job it WAS NOT to help me) helped me by opening the door and taking my beds into my apartment. When I dropped the truck off, there were three women at the drop off equipment lane and they were my next blessings. I nearly cried from exhaustion but they sympathized with everything I had gone through and made a connection with me. I'm almost done! I got home and realized my EZPass was still in the truck, so I called them. I had to call EZPass to get my correspondents number, and the woman and I matched them. I got to UHaul right before they closed and my final blessing was one of the previous women!It was a stressful day but great customer connections can make it so much better and these ladies definitely made my day better!”
“Was afraid of hidden charges or them trying to ping me for pre existing damage. I took pictures of the truck before leaving the lot and so did the employee. Truck was clean had a backup cam which was a plus and didnt have any problems. Glad I spent the money to rent a truck, was a huge help in moving from my girlfriends apartment.”
