I’ve only been checked in for 30 mins and I’m already satisfied with my stay here. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. They were able to check us in early as our flight arrived early in the morning. They recommended us some places to shop for clothes for an event and even scheduled a shuttle to take us there. What a wonderful welcome after a tiring flight from the west coast. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I'm a Marriot Ambassador Elite, and stay 4-5 days per week, as well as use meeting rooms during my stay..I'm giving a stellar 5 star review, not only because the rooms were great, but because of the top notch service by Mrs. Shelby, who catered to our every need, from coffee, to lunch service, and beyond! Pay attention Chrissy Miller, as well as Marriot Corporate, to all long term Wonderful employees, like Mrs. Shelby....she creates your Brand, and the experience! Don't let this lovely lady escape....she makes your venue! 5 stars for Mrs. Shelby, and 5 stars for this location!

What a bait and switch. The lobby and exterior look updated and are immaculate! The room (first floor - room 110 - If you get this assigned to you, immediately ask for a replacement) is AWFUL!! I have mold on every wall...that bathroom looks like it was remodeled and they just decided to put up sheet metal on the roof instead of finishing it properly. The room reeks of mold and as previously stated IS VISIBLE. Expected way better from a Marriott hotel. Only good thing I can say about this hotel is easy access to Richmond airport.
***Update*** Spoke with the front desk and they moved me to another room on the first floor. While it is better (no visible mold), it still has the smell of mold. This will be fine for the evening before a flight...I will not be staying here again on the remainder of my project business trips to the area over the next 3 years.

Worst hotel experience ever… So I hosted a photography event at their venue and all I can say is I’m highly disappointed. Things sounded promising with the sales manager Sangeeta over the phone but was I wrong. My event was July 27th-28th 2024. Once I arrived at the hotel on the 26th the front desk staff was very confused about their job. They was not very knowledgeable of their duties. I was overcharged and they couldn’t explain why and until this day them and corporate hasn’t refunded my money.
Now let’s get to the event on the 27th. I wake up early to test the AV and my computer. I arrive downstairs at 7:45am to get test going. My event started at 9am. The AV in the wall was broken and nobody che k the connect before my event. I went to the front desk and they said it was no manager:maintenance/ technician on site. The front desk guy assured me someone was coming. His exact words was they called the technician and woke him up. He only lived a few blocks from the hotel and will be there to assist me shortly. Well he never came and they sent a chef from the kitchen to help. It’s 9:20am now and my attendees in the room and we still have no AV connection. The chef brings me a ladder to climb up to the ceiling to connect the AV cause we figured that was the last option.
Still on day one as the event is taking place we are 30mins behind now so we had to rearrange the whole schedule. It was so stressful trying to present and teach. After lunch they had another event going on so since we was behind time one of their staff informed my attendees we needed to be out of the room. I remind you we was only in the room still cause they made us run 30mins behind. Since we wasn’t out the room they barricaded us in the room with catering carts and signage for their other event. Major fire hazard still no management on site to handle these issues.
Now to Sunday we was teaching video. Once we arrive in the room we noticed audio playing. We approach the front desk again to ask them. Could they please turn off the audio in the conference room. The man at the front desk said they could not turn off the audio in the conference room. Well that’s funny cause it was off yesterday well we was able to control the volume knobs. So the video portion of my workshop had music overlapping our audio. Times when no audio was needed the hotel music was playing and could be heard in our recorded audio.
Today is the 13th of August and I still haven’t heard from the general manager. Corporate keeps giving me the run around. The sales lady won’t respond to any of my emails or calls anymore. Nobody can even tell me and refund my money for the charges they charged me after the event. They charged me for rooms when I was nolonger at the hotel and some other stuff.
Please never host an event at this place that never had a manager on duty. Scammers

There’s a lot to like about this hotel, but the way they put away the complimentary coffee in the morning and the rudeness of the coffee shop employees wipes all of that out. This morning I went at 4:55 to get some coffee. The coffee shop wasn’t open yet, but the coffee was gone. “Oh, you put away the coffee,” I said.
“Yes. We put it away at five,” was the reply, despite it wasn’t even five o’clock.
Likewise, the shuttle service terrible. I have been waiting for over one and a half hours for the shuttle and it’s still not here. So aggravating that such a nice facility is managed and staffed by people who just don’t care. I’m sorry I booked a week here, counting the days to be out of this HELL!
Rooms: Great, very clean, well appointed rooms. Housekeeping is amazing.
Noteworthy details: Excellent pool, hot tub and patio! Great music and nice furniture. Grill!

AB is an amazing employee...we left our room for late night snacks downstairs, our keys didn't work twice... upon returning to the room...we went back downstairs and he was in an just a brief min he was on the task and got us right back in! Love that guy! Will be back again!

Bonnie the food server should be FIRED! This woman is the absolute WORST server I’ve ever encountered. From her terrible attitude to her lack of details in getting orders correct, to her ability to manage multiple tables to most importantly just being plain RUDE! No one should be subject to anyone in general in hospitality of this nature let alone in life! She totally tarnishes the Sheraton brand at this location.

AIR CONDITIONING DOESNT WORK IN THE ROOMS OR HALL WAYS. MY ROOM WAS 78 and never cooled down! Want proof check the photo

Rooms: Gross ac doesn’t work anywhere in the hotel other than the lobby. Front desk was useless
