So I was a bit worried about the reviews prior to booking this hotel for me and my family. We are traveling to our port for a cruise and just needed a nice place to stop by. Hampton is a must for me since I work for the brand and only find it up to my standards. Unfortunately you will see a lot of what I can only describe as horror in these other rooms from the previous reviews. But I assure you if you book one of the many suites you won’t be disappointed. It looks as if everything including the building and lobby its self was renovated which was mentioned in the reviews. The rooms are just absolutely beautiful, the views as-well. Everything was clean and I didn’t find one thing out of place when I inspected my room. When we checked in the lady at the front desk mentioned a partner discount with the local Mexican restaurant across the street which is just absolutely fantastic. I did overhear that they alternate hot and cold breakfast here which isn’t something I’ve ever heard of and they start breakfast at 7am-10am. One thing I found a little disappointing was the pool hours. They close the pool ( and yes they have a nice hot tub) at 8pm, I would have wished it was open a little longer but. The service was so/so the front desk attendant was very nice just maybe a little laid back. I know at my job being on your phone infront of guests while they are trying to check in is a no no, I actually went to get a duplicate key and she was scrolling on her phone while a guest was waiting for her to take her card. And as an employee it’s just different as to the process I do at my location. Overall if the reviews are what’s stopping you from booking as it almost made me, I can guarantee that they are doing much MUCH better now and that it is a nice place to lay your head for the night.Oh and please if management is reading this please consider cleaning the elevator it is filthy.

Great stop for early morning flight. Latisha was very pleasant at check in! They have a shuttle that will take you to a restaurant.

Made an online reservation from the Hampton inns website. Got a confirmation number and confirmation email and paid for a room. Traveled over 3 hours to the hotel on a Thursday evening. Front desk staff was professional and courteous but told us the hotel is completely booked and would have to cancel our reservation. We then missed a show we had non-refundable tickets to and had to travel 3 hours back home. I reached out to customer support to see if they would offer anything for our inconvenience. Maybe credit towards a future stay or at least an apology? Nothing offered just the run around from several call centers. I believe this is a result of deceptive online practices and ZERO customer support .Next time we will book with the Doubletree nextdoor.

The room was cleaned, and the shower had soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. I could hardly hear neighboring doors closing.

First time at this Hampton Inn property by the Richmond airport. The price was right, but not the quality. I have given few sub par reviews of any Hilton properties over the years. So this was disappointing.Parking was plentiful, but likely because they were not fully booked. No debris on my walk up to check in. The male staff was professional and friendly. He did explain breakfast times etc. However he forgot to acknowledge me as a Diamond Member and provide water until asked. The lobby was clean and presented well.The key to my room accessed the room. My Queen size bed was adequate and room clean. It was obviously dated, but that alone did not sink my review whatsoever. However the ripped curtains contributed to the low review. Also the bathroom wall paper was stained. The shower although clean needed fresh caulk. Everything worked and proper towels supplied.I did utilize the breakfast a few times and it was subpar. No yogurt, no milk and one morning no coffee or eggs. That's unacceptable.Checkout was smooth and a hard copy receipt provided upon request. Upon exiting the outside trash was overflowing. I walked back in to alert the front desk. I spent about 15 minutes in my car texting and upon departure the trash was still in need of attention. 2.5 rounding down.Rooms: Dated

Friendly staff and clean rooms. The location looks like they tried to renovate it but the bathrooms are still a little rough. There was barely any water flow out of the shower, and the toilet paper kept falling off the wall. The night shift receptionist didn’t even have a uniform. It’s a little low brow, but if you just need a place to sleep near the airport that’s clean, this might be the stop for you.

The best thing about this hotel by far is the staff. They were some of the most helpful and friendly staff I’ve ever seen at a hotel. However, that’s kind of where the positives end. I had been locked out of my room not once, but twice. First, my digital key didn’t work and locked me out and I had to go to the front desk to get a physical card. Next day, that card didn’t work either. The staff did fix it the second time though and didn’t have the problem afterwards. Also, the pool has a broken latter that isn’t really safe to swim near. The bed could also use an update as I could feel the springs when I was laying down. Lastly, I thought the breakfast was disappointing. They kept running out of hot food, which was surprising since it wasn’t too busy when I went.

I reserved 2 rooms. We had 7 kids with us & were on a football trip. After checking in they provided us with 4 clean towels & said sorry we don’t have anymore. You have to wait until ppl check out & laundry is washed tomorrow….I had to go purchase towels so we could all shower. The indoor pool & fitness center was closed for the entire weekend, of course the only way to find that out was by trying to use it after already being checked in. The website had no mention of anything being closed. I’d call before booking if this is important to you. Specifically the front desk staff was rude & did not seem to care about anything. The trash bins throughout the hotel were constantly over flowing. The breakfast was very minimal & they wouldn’t refill any of the food after 9:30 even though it is suppose to be available until 10am.Overall very poor. Save your money and stay at the Marriott or The Drury over this hotel!

We traveled from Michigan for the holiday - Our reservations were booked months in advance.A handicap room was requested.I called to confirm, well ahead of our arrival that the correct room would in FACT be available - Spoke to Kayla at the location & was vehemently assured that the CORRECT room would be available at the time of arrival.IT WAS NOT.The room had been “given away” or NEVER prepared, before we arrived mid afternoon. Not only did we NOT have the room requested, because it was holiday day (Thursday), there were no staff members available to clean a handicap room on the premises to accommodate my original reservations. I did not feel SAFE or comfortable in a standard room; but had no choice but to accept it and stay.This made my holiday stressful and my anxiety for safety worse than necessary.Rooms: Vintage outdated decorum.The door slams VERY loudly.A handicapped room when was requested.But accommodations were NOT followed.It took housekeeping over an hour to bring towels to the room, after requesting them from the front desk (and she was on the floor. !)This stay made my holiday stressful
