I recently visited Trader Jerry's, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. Their inventory selection is exceptional, offering a wide range of firearms, from handguns to rifles, catering to all needs and preferences. They also have an impressive variety of ammunition and accessories. Prices are very competitive, and I found several items that were notably more affordable than at other stores I've visited. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, providing excellent service without any pressure. Overall, Trader Jerry's is a top-notch destination for both seasoned gun enthusiasts and newcomers.

Bar none, the best gun shop around. A place that you can find what you’re looking for and even end up walking out with something you were not. They aren’t afraid to stock rare guns that don’t appeal the common interest along with everything that does. I’ve seen top CZ race guns here, they had the competition Walther I was dying for, they even randomly had in the Chiappa Rhino I’d been stalking online. I love this place; friendly, knowledgeable, and magic when it comes to fast background checks. My tactical boyfriend who lives out of town goes in every time he visits which, says a lot. I would recommend this place to everyone who knows a thing or two about guns and to everyone else who is trying to learn.

Employees could use class in customer relations. 2nd time I’ve been store and have not been acknowledged or told one would be with me. One saw me and walked away as I was trying to flag him down so I could buy ammo. I also found a pistol I wanted to buy so went to the front counter. Two employees saw me standing there, ignored me and continued to talk and laugh about personal matters. The conversation didn’t seem it would end so I walked out.

My father showed me this gun store and it has always been my go to shop. I've never been let down by the quality of new and used firearms. The staff is very friendly also.

I've been in here a couple times and I can understand why some of the reviews are negative. The first time I walked in they didn't even speak to me. For me personally, that is great. I generally know what I'm doing and I know what I'm looking for. I was there just browsing and pricing out what guns they had. But for a newbie, first time buyer, or just nervous shopper, it might come off as if they are intentionally ignoring you and/or being rude...They are not ignoring you, its a gun shop, they're observing every move you make. However, from what I can tell, they don't want to pressure you or make you feel rushed. These guys will help you if you initiate with them, but you might have to put your big boy pants on and explicitly ask for help. For example, I had never held or used a Ruger takedown, so I picked it up and walked up to the counter and said "can you show me how this works". And by god, they demonstrated how the takedown feature works, put it back together, and let me go on about my business. They don't do pushy sales tactics or attempt to coerce you into buying a gun they've had sitting around for a long time (or at least they didn't do that to me). The best way I can describe it is that they are not there to sell you a gun, but rather they are there to help you buy the gun you want.

I didn't feel much like a valued customer, but that was probably because I bought Heritage Rough Rider and not some firearm more than $500. The first gun I ever bought was the best experience I had because the salesperson was patient and really helped me select my first gun to purchase, which was for $500 at the time. The salesperson walk me through the paperwork and made sure I was happy with my purchase. I made sure to even spend another $200 in ammo, because the whole experience was amazing, so I guess I judge all my experiences now in purchasing a firearm to that first experience. Nevertheless, I got the impression at Trader Jerry's that since I wasn't spending a lot of money, I wasn't a real customer. So, now I figure before I purchases my next firearm, I'll will pop by another local gun store, not only to compare prices, but for the gun store that I feel would value my patronage. Where it is guns or clothes, customer service and how you treat customers regardless of how much they spend, should be feel valued, because that is how you can guarantee they come back and make future purchases. The first purchase might not be big, but maybe their next purchase might. I do admit I hot a descent deal, but found online the sales price they listed at Trader Jerry's was actually the same price, not listed as a sales, price online at other gun stores, so I didn't really get a deal, because I could have bought the same gun elsewhere for the same price. Granted they have a larger inventory, that is probably about all they have going for them.

I see why their reviews are so bad…my husband went in there walked all around the store and neither one of the 2 people in there even spoke to him so he just left.

Company is local and family owned with a large selection of firearms, ammo, and accessories at competitive prices! The emoloyees seem knowledgeable and never push you to purchase anything. If they don't have something in stock they can likely order whatever you're looking for! They also teach firearm safety for new shooters or prospective concealed carry permitees on the first Wednesday every month for only $50.

Started going here recently after seeing them at the local shows. Huge selection, have plenty of ammo in stock, and have a decent inventory of accessories. The employees have always been helpful but not pushy. They let you know they're there to help but let you do your thing until you need them which is nice, I hate feeling like I'm at a car dealership being hounded by salesmen the second I come through the door. I've purchased several times from them and it was a breeze. All in all I'd say their prices are on par or even lower in most cases with other local shops. The owner seems like he's incredibly knowledgeable and is easy to talk to. I will definitely continue to visit this shop and plan to buy here again soon.
