Wonderful and professional! Our check engine light came on in the middle of a 1200 mile round trip. Phillip was kind enough to run diagnostics and make recommendations, and we were back on the road in plenty of time to reach our destination. My daughter goes to Roanoke College and her car broke down. I do not live in Salem and have no idea about auto shops in the area. I found Professional Auto online and chose based on the reviews. These people are amazing! They have been so easy to work with, always willing to explain, and truly honest! They said I might need a service that would be an additional $1000 and after looking at the car, called to say it wasn’t needed after I agreed to pay! That’s hard to find now a days! I highly recommend them and will be using them, if needed, the entire time my daughter is at college!

The best I had taken my f250 to 4 other shops to find out and fix the death wobble in my truck. The other shops could not figure it out. so I took it to Professional Auto. and they found the problem and fixed it within 1 day. Excellent price and excellent staff nice people. The have my business from now on.

If you want your car, don't bring it to these drug addicted, horrible, stupid people. Way to much to type, but they will DESTROY anything you bring to them. To say the very least, I drove my truck to their shop to get a simple tune up because it was coming up on 100,000 miles. Spark plugs, spark plug wires, oil change, and a new air filter. 2 and a half months and almost $5,000 later, I had to have my truck towed off of their lot to a different shop who knows what they're doing. Professional Auto lied to me multiple times, admitted that their head mechanic was addicted to heroin, and tore my truck apart. They eventually told me that since they couldn't figure out what their drug addicted head mechanic did to make my truck not drivable, that I needed to dump it and buy a new truck.. Of course, they had one for sale. My truck ran perfectly fine when I brought it to them, and as I said, they destroyed it. Beware. They are on drugs, they will break things on your vehicle on purpose and tell you what you want to hear to keep you spending money. They can't do anything right. They are a rip off and a scam. These people are as shady as they come. This business does not deserve to be called a business. The owner, Butch and his son, Phillip still drive by my house, smiling and waving at me like something is funny about destroying my work truck. They know that I have a family of 4, own my business, and only have one work truck. I had to rent a truck to keep my business running, which cost me almost another $5,000 while they kept my truck. I had multiple conversations with the business owner, Butch, who would tell me that they were working on my truck as we were talking. I guess he was too stupid to realize that I was sitting in their lot looking at my truck sitting outside not being worked on. If you want a $10,000 tune up, and then have to tow your vehicle off of their lot to spend more money elsewhere, these drug addicts are your people! They will most definitely take full advantage of you and laugh at you about it. This place is a nightmare and a circus. I wouldn't recommend them to someone I don't like. Good luck if you do (what Profesional Auto calls) business with these clowns. I call it robbery.

Got my car towed here when it broke down on the side of the road. They're AAA affiliated so you get 10% off as a member. Long story short, my car was toast and their customer service was impeccable. They worked to get my bill lower, offered solutions and sympathy when I was a blubbering mess, drove me to get a rental car, took the plates off my car for me, and were willing to hold my car until the title came in the mail so it could be sold for scrap. I would give them 6 stars if I could and would only take my cars there if I was local. I cannot recommend enough.

If I could rate them higher I would! I was traveling through the state from SC to NJ and broke down on the interstate . Not only were they willing to see me , they did so with friendliest of attitudes! Jo and David were amazing! Jo went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable while waiting( including my pet) and David took the time to talk to me about my repair and what was going on. They got me back on the road in no time and the whole experience left me with a reminder that good honest mechanics are still out there ! I don't live in the state but 10 of 10 would recommend them!!!

Needed state inspections for my and the wife's cars. Was thrilled to find someone willing to do the inspection without trying to sell sudden "problems" with the cars. The only thing that came up inspection was tires for my wife's car which we knew would need replacing soon. They also got both cars done within a few hours on the same day. Service staff was very friendly and helpful, also helped to find affordable options for the tires. Overall I couldn't be happier with them and will certainly bring my car here the next time I need any maintenance.

Can’t say enough about these folks. Our car broke down in a road trip on a Thursday evening and they were kind enough to take a look at it the next morning. It ended up being a really difficult to diagnose issue but they were able to get me up and running as soon as they could.

It took them a while to look at my car but I was satisfied with the end result and they didn't try to pull one over on me/get me to pay for anything more than was needed.
