I should give them a 4 because I was looking for a style and it didn't work. To be fair, I didn't know what I wanted, besides to keep it long as possible. I didn't give them much to work with either. I'm leaving a comment because I was trying to find their number. I trust them with my hair and look forward to seeing Onyx again.

I went to the shop just recently and met with Jeanet she was absolutely amazing, I can’t wait for my appointment with her!! Update, went back and had my hair done and it was exactly what I wanted the service was great, the atmosphere was amazing, the staff were extremely friendly. I will definitely be going back. I was super pleased!

Very personalized and positive experience from start to finish. Katy did an awesome job and gave me the “pop” I was looking for! It’s giving refreshed!
Stylist: Katy Warren did an amazing job checking in on what I envisioned and ensured that I got the cut and color I was looking for. She is so kind and so positive- I felt very secure in her chair!

had a wonderful experience today at Onyx with Hayatt! She took her time and listened to my desires and carefully executed. I will always appreciate a good job as opposed to a fast one. Coming back soon for touch ups and already looking forward to it! Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. I had a cut/color with the talented Melyssa and I couldn't be happier with the results. I so appreciated her taking the time talking with me to help decide exactly what I wanted to do with the color and giving helpful tips/suggestions for what would look best. Plus we had so much fun and the conversation really made the appointment so much more enjoyable than what I've had at other salons. She did a beautiful job with my hair and was a true delight to spend the day with. Everyone I met here was so friendly and welcoming. Highly highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a nice experience!

If you want your blonde done right then go see Hayatt! She did an amazing job and made me love my hair again! It was not easy because I had a mixture of blonde at the bottom and my hair was really messed up from the last hair dresser I saw (not same location). I asked for blonde with light brown roots. She pulled it off and it looks amazing! Thank you! ❤️

We moved to Roanoke about 1.5 yrs. ago and i’ve been to different salons and finally found the spot.My 3 yr old loves Ms.Katy and she does a great job.

I had the most AMAZING experience at Onyx with the fabulous Jeanet this past week! I’m a natural redhead and have always been nervous for the day I would need to color my hair to stay red, but a friend recommended Jeanet and assured me she would do a great job. Jeanet was so sweet and patient with me and gently walked me through my first salon experience. When Jeanet was done, I looked at myself and cried literal tears of joy. Not only did she exceed my expectations and give me the most perfect red I ever could’ve dreamed of, she helped me feel like myself again. She even went as far as to teach me how to properly wash and condition my hair to take the best care of it. Jeanet is so talented and the sweetest person, I absolutely cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Jeanet!!

Onyx salon will be my go to salon from here on out. I went in for my first time to get color. Jeanet was my stylist. She took the time to figure out exactly what shades of the colors I wanted. The final product was amazing and the dimension of each color she was able to create, phenomenal! I really appreciate her time and effort and will be seeing her again and again!
