This is the worst service I have ever seen.I do not want to give them one star.I had used there service department twist and both times been horrible. The sales people are nice but there service manager John and Heather do not know what service means.they try to charge me for diagnosis twist and the warranty pays for it if under warranty and they charge $ 250.00.They try to charge me for the freon. They want skeptical an appointment just drop off let you wait all day not given you a car can even set up an rental after 7 days of me getting a rental car let you know they can not get the part to a month later. Now the part is here and still no set appointment just drop off my truck set there for 2 hours before they took it in no call to 3pm that the part was wrong or broke.I could go on and on but I will contact the better business bureau and there there ceo

I moved to VA about a year ago, took my new 2021 GMC to this dealer and it was giving an emissions engine light since. Recently, took my truck to the original dealer and realized a hose was loose. I've had diagnostic multiple times to "fix" this issue but it never appeared to be corrected. After communication with my original dealer, I learned this company purposely made that hose loose to keep me coming for service. Hart motor is a racist, out-dated dealer. The staff is orange and piss poor and had no capabilities for new and adVanced vehicles. STAY AWAY FROM HART MOTOR in SALEM VA...

Dropped my car off for some warranty work at 8:30 am. Drove around woth my dad for hours waiting. At 2 I called and was told they were down several techs and wouldn't be able to fix it today. I waited two weeks for this oppointment and drove an hour and 20 to get here. No loaner car so I could leave it and was told "You should have made better accommodations" by the service manager. Zero accountability, worst service I've ever had and they didn't even do anything... 0/10 would never recommend.

Went to Hart Kia to buy my 2022 Telluride that I ordered back in July. I saw 2 scratches on the hood as soon as I walked up to the vehicle..... Which would have been an easy fix. I mentioned them to the salesman and he went in to tell his sales manager. My aunt happened to be in the sales room at the time and overheard the conversation that took place. The sales manager, Jayson Lynch, said "it's probably nothing. I'm not dealing with that. Go find out how much she's putting down and shut her down." When the salesman came back out to speak with me I told him we were certainly starting off on the wrong foot. I asked who the general manager was and I was told he didn't know. Of course I immediately found out who it was thanks to their own website. I was then told by the salesman that the GM was not available and I would have to talk to Jayson. In the meantime....Jayson came out and used all the elbow grease he had on the scratch that he couldn't rub away (that was "probably nothing") and then drove it into the shop. Eventually I'm sitting in the office with Jayson, the salesman, and 2 other people I wasn't introduced to. I assume at this point that Jayson has been told I asked who the general manager was and he very rudely asked me what the problem was. When I repeated the conversation that was overheard he immediately became defensive and even more rude and told me that she was mistaken and he had 4 deals going on and that is not what he was talking about but he would refund my deposit but he was the only one that was going to sell me a car at MSRP. Of course I told him to give me my deposit back and he was NOT the only dealership I could purchase from at MSRP. I apologized to the salesman for losing the sale and left. It's a shame that they would have had that conversation in the show room in front of other customers and after finding out that it was overheard to not even be apologetic or even the slightest bit nice. I do NOT recommend this dealership just because of the rudeness of the sales manager, Jayson Lynch, at this location. He was arrogant and extremely rude....which is extremely surprising given the lack of available vehicles to sell these days. I'm aware that the dealership lost nothing by me not purchasing this vehicle but I personally was not going to spend over $50,000 with a dealership that was so rude and mean even after waiting 6 months for it to come in. My Aunt called the president of this family owned business and told him if our experience and he very nicely defended Jayson Lynch and said he was probably stressed and actually told her that it was HER fault for even telling me about the conversation! The lack of professionalism and common courtesy left a very bad taste in my mouth. I do not recommend Hart motors or Hart Kia based solely on their lack of concern for customers and they are rude and down right hateful!!!!

Easily the best car buying experience I've ever had! I was looking for a vehicle with specific options for a little over a month and stumbled on one for sale at Hart Motors in Salem, VA on CarGurus. I reached out to inquire about it and was assisted by Eddie King. Since I lived a few hours away from the dealership, I communicated frequently with Eddie to ensure it was exactly what I was looking for before making the trip to see it in person. When I showed up, Eddie had the car cleaned, tires replaced (I didn't even request it), and it ready for a test drive. While I was looking the car over, Eddie was polite, professional, and let me take all the time I needed to decide if it was the right vehicle for me. When I decided that it was, he worked with me to come up with a great price that made it impossible to walk away. I worked with Matt Smith to finish up the paperwork and he was equally professional and polite. I can't reiterate enough how Matt and Eddie's personable approach made this process easy and enjoyable---we talked a bit and got to know each other, making the process less transactional and more personal. Thank you, Hart Team for a great car buying experience!

Just bought a used Mazda CX-5 from Hart Motors in Salem and I couldn't be happier with my car buying experience from start to finish... Easy process, great deal on the Mazda and they gave me more money for my trade in than any other dealership in town. I dealt with Greg Hart and he was knowledgeable and really cared about my car needs and the fact that I had to get the deal done in a quick time frame so I could be home to pick up my son from school! Hart Motors is #1 and I would highly recommend them if you're in the business of shopping for a new or used car! Jody

Since we purchased our vehicle brand new from Hart, we decided to look there first when thinking about upgrading. The used cars we viewed did not look fully detailed and had alot of wear on the interior. We were offered pennies on our vehicle that we purchased there and had serviced through their dealership. Our counter offer was not seriously considered and the vehicle price was not negotiable. I guess repeat business due to consumer loyalty is a thing of the past. While in the sales office we over heard a salesman complaining about a couple he was assisting about being to picky with the vehicle they were interested in. Had higher expections or we were more naive during our first purchase with Hart.

When I was car shopping, they had cars listed which weren't actually on the lot. While I understand someone may have just came and bought it that day, it was more than one car and I feel like they were probably just trying to get people on the lot. Then several employees didn't act like they knew where the cars were and time was wasted hunting for cars that weren't there. They could definitely use improvement in that area. As far as service goes, I have a 2016 Kia I bought used from another dealership. I've taken it to Hart Kia one time and they did a fine job repairing the damage. They shuttled me to Kroger, picked me up, and the repair time and communication were great. Cost of repair was reasonable.

I bought a 2016 Jeep Patriot from Hart Kia in July 2017, this weekend I found out the battery in the car is from a junk yard and it only has 45% charge! Shame on you Hart Kia. That's very cheap to sell a vehicle 1.5 years with 18,000 miles with a bad battery. Very disappointed.

Well I had high hopes for Hart GMC. I was quoted a price on a used Acadia which was in my price range. They even offered to let me drive it over the weekend. Well I came to pick it up and the quoted price of $12970 jumped to $14900. As you can imagine a $2,000 increase was shocking. Now the worst part they confirmed it was in fact listed at $12,970. It was going through inspection in their shop and they came up with $3500 in "repairs." Convenient right!!! Call me old fashioned but I stick to my word! I wanted to support a local business but now I'll be looking elsewhere!

I scheduled a service appointment for my car at 8:30 am. I called at 1:30pm because I hadn't heard what was wrong with my car and was told my car hasn't been looked at. When I asked what about my 8:30 appointment they told me that they don't do appointment. I called again at 3:30 was on hold for 20 minutes for someone to tell me my car is ready. I then asked can you tell me what the problem was and got placed on hold again another 5 minutes. When I picked up my car it was after 5:00 pm. While waiting to pay another employee walked in and asked female employee about a car that was there early. The female responded that the problem was going to take longer than the lady could wait and she didn't know why the customer was spending $12,000 on that piece of junk. First of all we as customers have the right to spend $1.00 or thousands of dollars on our cars. If an employee is going to talk about customers that way what are they saying about all their customers. My opinion is this service department needs some customer service training or new employees. I will NOT be returning there for service of my car.
