Wasn’t helpful, couldn’t get in until the 10th and didn’t provide any knowledge on the specific issue I was referring too, which I later found out was a very simple issue, any Mazda dealer should’ve known

I'm very pleased with the helpful service I have received at Berglund. The salesperson, Dakota Blevins, was excellent in handling the sale of my vehicle and very informative. The financial department did a wonderful job in getting everything done to make us happy. I have continued to recommend Berglund to others that are looking for a vehicle and excellent service. I highly recommend Dakota Blevins, when you go as he's friendly and personable.

Tried to give Berglund Mazda a second time after declaring o would never purchase a new car from them. The salesperson Dakota was great., but the finance manager was rude and dismissive. I went to Dunvan Mazda and made my 50k purchase. I tried but, I guess, I don't look the look you want for customers. I'm so thankful Duncan wanted to earn my business.

Unfortunately, our experience was not at all how the other reviews portrayed this business to be.
As soon as we got out of our 2013 Honda Pilot we were trading in (fully paid off), we let Dakota know exactly the two vehicles we were interested in viewing (a 2014 Nissan Frontier and a 2011 Dodge Laramie Longhorn).
Dakota brought the Nissan around and told us the Dodge was actually at a different location 20 minutes down the road.
We immediately noticed that the Nissan's underside was covered in rust and the muffler was leaking and the exhaust was almost rusted through. We also were already aware we were trading in our perfectly good Honda Pilot for a Nissan that had dents, scratches and rust throughout. It had some shoddy aftermarket additions, as well; but we still gave it the benefit of the doubt. We thought all of these things combined would help spur a negotiation, but the sales team flat out refused to budge on the almost $19k price.
We also got different answers on whether or not we were going to get to even see the Dodge for comparison, as we had set out to do. Some of the sales team said they should be able to bring it over no problem, but then others said absolutely not.
When we started to walk out the door entirely, they then caved and escorted us to the other location where the Dodge Laramie was supposed to be at, only to be told that it was on lifts with the air intake completely taken out of it and that it wasn't close to being able to be shown.
We asked why they had it listed for sale and they just shrugged. I'm flabbergasted why they even took us all the way out to the other location before calling their own store to confirm that it was even available??
I would understand some of the behavior if it was a big sale day, but we were the only customers in the store...
Overall, our experience at Berglund Mazda in Salem, VA was the worst experience I've had with a car sale. They gave us the run around and were dodgy about so many things, they were downright rude and obstinate about negotiations, and they completely wasted our time on the Dodge, in the very least.
Seems like we "Dodged" a bullet not doing business here.

We always have a great experience when we need our Mazda serviced. Their customer service is great, the waiting area is nice with amenities like coffee, tv, and two private work rooms if needed. We feel like the service team here is very honest and thorough and we even recently had a video of the work they were doing texted to us while we waited. The online booking experience is easy and they always get us in and out in a timely manner. We highly recommend!

Luke is awesome! I’ve been looking into trading my car in and just started shopping around. He made me feel so welcome and is really knowledgeable at his job. He really took the time to hear me out on what I do and don’t want in my next car and made suggestions based off of my needs. You all have such a great salesman!

I just started car shopping and stopped by to take a look. I looked at the Mazda CX-5, and I spoke with a salesperson named Luke who was super nice, professional, and knowledgeable! He went over the features of the car and really answered all my questions. He really went above and beyond, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to trade in their car or shopping around for a new one. Thanks Luke and Berglund Mazda!

HORRIBLE. Their finance department was awful. Guy basically threw an angry tantrum in front of us (throwing papers, slamming drawers). Horribly unprofessional. On top of that, we waited forever to talk to him, and then we were pressured into moving quickly because “I have other customers waiting.” This was our first car purchase, and we were just trying our best to understand everything. They were super awful, we will never be back.

Had a repair emergency. They were booked solid but graciously took a few minutes to run a diagnostic exam on my car to help me out tremendously as we would have been stuck potentially for days or maybe even weeks. THANK YOU SO MUCH to Berglund Mazda and wonderful service staff! I'm grateful!
