Odd place, has good enough selection but a bit of an odd smell, people seem nice and it's next to a good shrimp place

I stopped in for some gas. I was headed north, and the first gas station I came to looked pretty good and their gas was relatively cheap at $4.68. But, that’s why they were crowded. And, to make matters worse their card readers on the pumps weren’t working which meant I was gonna have to go wait in line, leave my card inside, and then go back and pump, and go back and get the card, and I said forget it. So I kept driving north and eventually I saw another gas station on the left, but before I turned into it, I noticed they wanted $4.99 a gallon. Forget that – they’re just gouging people. So, I kept driving and this Pineview grocery and deli was the third gas station I came to. I did need to stop because my car was running on fumes at this point. And I was glad to see that they were charging only $4.79. Not a bad price for a mom and pop shop with only one pump. And, once I saw that pump I was thrilled because it was a vintage 1970s pump with dials. I love it when I can stop at a place with those old pumps. And, sure it doesn’t have a card reader so I did have to go inside. But there was nobody in line and there was nobody waiting at the pump. I had the place to myself. The lady working inside was really friendly and held my card while I pumped the gas. I really enjoyed watching those dials spinning — brings me back to my childhood. And I was glad that I was putting money in her pocket. After finishing, I went inside and she rang me up. Again, very friendly. I glanced around the store and saw that they had a reasonable selection of convenience store stuff. No, it wasn’t stocked as big as a 7-Eleven, but if you need some beer, soda, chips, or pretty much the basic stuff that you stop in convenient stores for, she’s got you covered. And the atmosphere is what makes it cool for me. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely stop to use that cool pump and kibitz with the nice lady there.

I’ve been going to this store since I was a kid. The employees have always been pleasant and food good. It now reeks of marijuana every time I go in. When asked about it I got, “It’s legal now”. It’s not a smell from patrons, it’s from employees/employee.

Pic is old, doesn't look like this today. Appears to be going under, not much in the store, kitchen not open. They had decent fast food, not open when I went it. Not sure what's going on, don't look for it to be open much longer, sad.
