I used Charlottesville Makeup Artist LLC for my wedding in October and had a great experience! The team was responsive, professional, and flexible. My trial was great and I was thrilled with the results! The wedding makeup was perfect - not too overdone, but just enough glam to feel special. And my wedding hair stayed in all night through the after party! Great experience all around - I'd highly recommend to anyone getting married in Charlottesville!

Had my wedding hair and makeup services through Charlottesville Makeup Artist LLC and it was such a wonderful experience! Anne is incredibly responsive, was willing to move my time slot last minute, and Diya did an amazing job on the big day! My hair did not move an inch the entire night, I felt so beautiful the entire day, and got so many compliments. I can't thank them enough for being a part of my day and I would highly recommend their services.

Charlottesville Makeup Artist provided hair and makeup services for my September wedding.- My hair and makeup artist, Amanda, was professional, listened to what I wanted, and made suggestions. She arrived on time and I could tell that she was putting in a lot of effort to stick to the timeline (didn't eat, drink, or take a bathroom break- poor thing!). I really liked my hair and makeup!- Communication with owner Anne Kibler was at times a little more difficult than with our other vendors. I often had to follow up on emails I had sent after not receiving a response. She left me a voicemail at one point and told me my date was no longer available (although this was a mistake and she did apologize). Many times, her emails (likely automated) felt pressuring and demanding- saying things like “you will need to submit your payment IMMEDIATELY” when my invoice stated that my payment wasn’t due for another month.- They were flexible when I needed to add services for an additional bridesmaid after our original contract was finalized.

Anne and the team were so wonderful to work with. I felt so comfortable during the trial and felt so beautiful on my wedding day. Would definitely recommend working with them!

I had an excellent experience working with Charlottesville Makeup Artist for my wedding hair and makeup. Anne was very responsive to all of my emails and always had very thorough answers to any questions I asked. I also loved working with Amanda and Channing as my makeup artist and hair stylist. It was very convenient that they both were able to travel to my location in Charlottesville for the trial as well as getting ready the day of the wedding. They were both very professional and carefully listened to any tweaks I had from my trial to make my wedding day hair and makeup just as I envisioned. They also did my entire bridal party’s hair and makeup which consisted of 10 people and they all looked so beautiful! All of the makeup work at my wedding went perfectly! The artist did an incredible job and was professional and friendly. My bridesmaids and mom were really impressed with the staying power of their makeup throughout the whole joyous day. I am not a makeup person so I went into this process with some apprehension and she made me feel safe and informed and listened to, and I didn't feel any stress with her at all. I had the best experience with Jordan and Devon on my wedding. I have very straight hair so I was worried about how well my hair would hold curls. Jordan curled my hair on Thursday for my rehearsal and it held up so well and did the same on Friday for my wedding! I was also so impressed at how natural my hair looked. I thought with all of the hair spray she’d use that my hair would look and feel crunchy but that wasn’t the case at all! My bridesmaids were also all so happy with their hair!Devon also did an incredible job with our makeup. I was definitely more particular with my makeup and had a lot of questions and she did a great job of adjusting what she was doing to fit my requests but also gave me her recommendations for what she knew would be best for photos which I really appreciated! I also appreciated how transparent she was about the cleanliness of her products and how she cleaned them in between girls.Both girls were friendly, punctual, and overall did an amazing job of listening to what everyone wanted while providing their professional recommendations. I initially went with Charlottesville Makeup Artist due to their competitive pricing and the fact that they offered both hair and makeup services on site. I booked hair and makeup for myself and 7 bridesmaids, and Anne worked with me to make sure the timeline worked out perfectly for us. I did a trial run a few days before since I don't live in Charlottesville, and that made the day of much less stressful since I already knew how my hair and makeup would last throughout the day. Hannah did a wonderful job with our hair and the curls lasted all day despite the hot and humid June day. Ashleigh must have worked magic into the makeup because I was literally blotting sweat off my face with towels all day long and NOTHING BUDGED. I had to wash my face three times at the end of the night to get everything off and it looked absolutely amazing for 12+ hours. I am so glad we went with Charlottesville Makeup Artist and would use them again in a heartbeat!

Devin and Hannah (apologies for potential misspelling) were incredible! Devin did makeup for my bridesmaids, Mom, and me. She did exactly what we requested and brought a calming presence to the room! She enhanced all our natural beauty, while still covering up imperfections and creating beautiful work. Hannah provided hair services for my bridesmaids and me. She is extremely talented in all types of wedding hair styles (e.g., updos, braids, curls, etc.). Smooth, excellent process from the point of contact to the trial to the wedding day. Anne was extremely responsive and very helpful when providing information about their services. I did my trial the Thursday before the wedding, which worked out really well! The hair and makeup artists did an amazing job bringing my vision to life and were really responsive to any requests I had. They were thorough and made our entire wedding party look so glamorous and beautiful. I would definitely recommend!

Everyone I was in contact with was fantastic! When I first was inquiring about booking with them, Anne went out of her way to help me multiple times. She was so nice, loving and incredibly helpful! She was fast and responding and answered any questions I had! The two girls that did my bridesmaids and I’s hair and makeup for my wedding were so good at what they do and so fun to be around. I would strongly recommend! I am so thankful for all they did and they were a DREAM to work with!

We loved working with Charlottesville Makeup Artist! They showed up bright and early for hair and makeup for our wedding. Everyone looked amazing and was thrilled with how it turned out. The makeup artist that did the bridal makeup was awesome and patient. Highly recommend!

Would not recommend. I reached out for a quote for services and the owner stated that because I had looked around at other places I was going to be forced to pay an online fee and could no longer mail a check in. They also do not offer trials on weekends or holiday weeks (warning for out of town brides like me!). The owner's solution to this was for me to pay for her and her team to fly to my location to have the trial--just what you want, more added costs for your wedding! Needless to say, I did not pursue a contract with them but thought this review would prove helpful for other out of town brides.
