Mike and his team went above and beyond to make our experience with the invisible fence a great one and I couldn’t be happier with their services and products. My 2 year old Lab and her 6 month old brother love spending time outside and learned very quick where the fence boundaries are with minimal shock. Highly recommend!

I had an appointment with Rugged Fence to come out and view my property for a fence quote. They never showed up and there was never any communication as to why.

A fantastic experience from start to finish. The website made it easy to request an estimate and we received a prompt, professional, and friendly call to set up a site visit.
We knew we had found our fence contractor when Emily came out to do the estimate. She was on time (actually early!) and very engaged. Other companies' representatives had come out and the experience was just them taking measurements and saying, "what do you want?" I wasn't getting any guidance or advice even after explicitly asking for it.
Emily took the time to listen to what our goals were for the project and our aesthetic ideas. Her expertise and personal experience helped us choose the materials and design that is safe for our big, active dog and looks GREAT.
I don't think the install could have been smoother. The crew was prompt and professional, like everyone else with Rugged had been, and asked questions to confirm the plan. They wasted no time and got the fence and gates in faster than we expected without any sacrifice to the incredible quality of work. I've checked out similar fences around the neighborhood and even my layman eyes can see that our Rugged install is both cleaner and more secure. We really appreciate the attention to detail and the consistent nailing of every connection.
I expect we'll enjoy our Rugged Fence worry-free for a long time to come. We definitely appreciate the peace-of-mind from Rugged's warranty and anticipate that if we do need any service the experience will be just as pleasant.

We had an excellent experience with Spencer, Emily & the Rugged team from start to finish! Great communication, knowledgeable, flexible, very responsive, and patient. They helped us navigate all the documentation and paperwork we needed for our HOA and really aimed to please. They also use higher quality materials than much of the competition in the area. I am in love with our fence! The installation team was professional, hard-working, and efficient, getting the entire fence and four gates all done in one day! It looks fabulous! I’d highly recommend Rugged Fence and am so glad we decided to go with them for our fencing project! 5 stars, hands down.

We recently had a fence installed by Rugged fence. We went with them because they had the best price honestly. Having never bought a fence before I was having all kinds of sticker shock. What I didn’t realize, my neighbors didn’t realize and this company didn’t realize was that we are on a slab of solid rock. There was a little adjusting that needed to be done, but man did they make us a nice looking fence. When I say they worked, they worked. It was way more than they bargained for and never once did they complain or short cut this job. And throughout it all Spencer kept in communication with us and made sure that we got exactly what we had envisioned. From my first call until it was completely done everyone at Rugged fence was top notch!

We have had a mostly positive experience with Rugged Fence. Unfortunately, when the fence was initially built the space between panels was further apart than it was supposed to be and some panels were not completely nailed down. As a result, one of our dogs escaped and was subsequently injured. We informed Rugged Fence and they came back and removed and reattached all panels to correct the spacing issue. They were apologetic and wanted to remedy the issue as soon as possible.

Spencer and his team are absolute professionals from consultation through installation. They walked the property with me, helped plan the layout, quoted a fair and competitive price, and came out just a few weeks later to complete the project. We fenced in a backyard area with three board and wire, and separate woods area with woven wire. It’s a sturdy fence, looks great, and the gates function perfectly. Rugged Fence communicated with us very promptly and often. They are the best in the area!

Having just moved back to Virginia after a 30 year absence, we weren’t familiar with fence companies in the area. Knowing that fence was mandatory in order to give our pup a safe area to play, we started calling companies and getting estimates. Rugged Fence was our fourth estimate. It was also our last. We are so impressed with this company! Spencer and Emily are wonderful to work to work with. The cost was extremely fair, the quality of fence is top notch, and the workmanship from their crew is incredible! They started early in the morning, worked until sundown, and they were back the next morning bright and early to complete the job. The end result is a beautiful fence that will not only keep our pup safe, but it’s great to look at! I can’t tell you how many compliments we’ve gotten from our new neighbors! Thank you Spencer, Emily, and the rest of the folks at Rugged Fence for a beautiful enclosure! We look forward to enjoying our backyard for many years to come!
