“Living in a big city like D.C., a “general store” sign gets me every time. After visiting nearby Great Country Farms, my little family stopped by Bluemont General Store. Although it has general store vibes, think of it as more or a corner store with essential goods like soap, spicy sauce, and mac and cheese boxes. The more charming sections are the $1 hardback books, the soup corner, 50 cent candy necklaces, and the local kids books.Service is kind and the space is easy to navigate.”

“This store has just about anything a country store would need. The only thing they don't do is cook food which the employee said they were getting their permits to do. They sell everything from bait, knives to propane and milk. They even sell flowers and wine for Valentine's day. The prices aren't crazy either. This is that great place when it's late, you don't want to drive into town but need those few items.”

“I have been going here since I was 15 years old. I am 51 now and live in Michigan but I travel to West Virginia a lot and I always stop in to see what's new in bongs and pipes. This time I bought a silicone bong and it's awesome. I love it so much, I packed away my other paraphernalia and have decided this is the bong for me!!! I highly recommend the silicone bong!!”

“This is the best 7/11 in Loudoun county. It's well laid out, clean, and the staff are always super nice, especially to my children. Very grateful to have this store in our community.”

“The staff here is very friendly. When I walk in, they already know what I need without having to ask. The cashiers are kind and respectful. It’s a great place to stop to get something to eat. Their food is delicious, especially breakfast. The parking lot is also very large and easy to maneuver. This is helpful since it is located right off of a busy highway. There’s also a sense of security because it appears that there is a police department located behind the establishment.”

“It's a nice gas and convenient store. Located on the Virginia and West Virginia line. The Appalachian trail is close by. Hikers sometimes take a break there.”

“I stopped by this 7-Eleven, because the coffee maker wasn't working and we didn't have any milk. This 7-Eleven seemed really well stocked, they have a few options of coffee you can get by just tapping a button, and they have milk. Which is what I came in for. They also have all sorts of things that you may not want to go to the grocery store for, or just a late night snack. I didn't realize 7- Eleven had their own savings card, since I didn't have the card, I couldn't get the deal on the milk, so I only got one. This is a fine place to stop when you need to get something on the go. Expect to pay higher prices due to the convenience.”

“I go here sometimes to grab a snack on my lunch or maybe to grab a coffee. The staff is always able to put a smile on my face! If it's making a joke, telling me to have a good day, or complimenting me, I always leave the store with a smile on my face. I appreciate the selection of snacks they offer and their coffee, too. One time, long ago (probably years), I was distracted by a friend and pulled off in my car with the gas pump still attached ‍. The lady who assisted me with the situation still works there, and while she was a little flustered, she never seemed angry or upset with me. She handled the situation perfectly, and I think about it every time I go in there and see her. Hopefully, she doesn't think of the situation every time she sees me .”

“Paying for convenience, time and lots more!
There are store-specific reasons that make our 7-11 on Washington St in Bolivar-Harpers Ferry 25425, better than other options. This 7-11 has the best management, staff, customer service and care I’ve ever seen. They’re running circles around other stores. I’ve asked for a couple things to be added to the inventory: they make a note and if possible, it’s available there in a short time!
They are also our local liquor store and they listen to suggestions on what the local folks want to buy. I wish all places had this kind of service but I’m glad it’s still the norm for “my store”.
Edited to clarify specific location review”

“The nicest lady (I think her name was Kathi Lee) help me return a package via Fed Ex. She had a lot going on and was still so helpful and made my Walgreens experience so great. She didn’t get stressed out with the long lines and focused on helping me. I really appreciate her help.”

“I stopped by the Walgreens in Purcellville to pick up a face wash, since I had packed an empty tube for my trip. I really couldn't find one that's small enough for my 5 day trip. I looked in the trial sized section and I looked among the skincare. In my search, a few of the employees greeted me and asked if I needed any help. This Walgreens seemed very busy. There were patrons coming and leaving the pharmacy area. There were shoppers with full shopping carts. I have never purchased more than two things at a time at Walgreens. All around it seemed like an all around well stocked Walgreens, that you could stop by and pick anything you may need quickly.”
