Great for a quick look at some local artwork. The graffiti on the wall outside of the building is not to be missed.

Took my daughter in to see the Beatles show art exhibit. It was our third visit to the gallery. Very friendly. No pressure to buy. Allows you to just look and enjoy.

I happened on the gallery on a dark rainy day because with a full glass front, it lit up like a beacon across the street. Color, light, sculpture, and exposed brick walls all play to create a visual delight. John and Suzan were engaging and we talked about their art among many other topics. They also have a very cool one bedroom apartment that is listed on Airbnb. Very nicely done.

I had the pleasure of finding this gallery today and what a cool gallery it is. The artists were both on site and were happy to chat about their work and inspiration. This isn't your typical gallery as I felt I were in a very professional, edgy space. The kind you would find in a larger city. From unique, modern paintings to amazingly creative sculpture, this is a gem of a place to visit and buy your next piece of art.

My Favorite Gallery in the Valley... Maybe the State! Very Cool ! Great Looking Space with Fantastikly Incredible Works! From the Outside = Mostly Glass Front so you can see lots of Art before walking in! + Be sure to see the Murals on the Wall beside the Gallery Paintings Furniture and Metalwork. is it Edgy? I would call it High Quality Street Inspired, maybe, Very Cool, for SURE!

I discovered the Wilson-Hughes Gallery a few months ago. Now I keep going back. The owners, Suzun and John, are friendly, fun, informative, and very creative artists. If you haven't been there yet, make an effort to do so. You will find a comfortable environment, exciting art, and friendly faces. I look forward to my next visit. Audrey

I went into this gallery one afternoon while on a recent visit to Roanoke. Wow, was this stuff cool. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the metal work furniture and sculptures by John Wilson. He finds various signage and other really cool scraps from the side of the road and turns them into really cool wall pieces and functional furniture! He's even got a coffee table made from the tail gate of a ford pickup truck. He told me he could *make* me one too if I wanted. The work from Suzun Hughes was really great too. She's got a knack of mixing computer generated images and color that just does it for me. And I love the combo of colors in her paintings. What really gives this gallery 5 stars though, is that the owners are the artists, and they're so good at telling you about the other goings on around town in the art scene. Best bet is to stop here on your way into town if you've come to Roanoke to take a peak at the art scene. Just ask, and Suzun or John will give you an insider's view of what to do next in the 'Noke.
