I have never felt the need to write a review on any business, but after the poor experience I had at the UPS store on Electric I feel it’s only necessary to help someone else out. I tried to mail out a package on July 8th that UPS boxed and packed for me, going through every item and detailing it to place on their international customs form to send off to Japan where my brother lives. The items were for my new neice born just a few days before. After paying $150, 2 weeks later on July 26th my packages was delivered to my front door. Never making it through customs. I took the package back to UPS and they looked at the customs sticker, ripped it off and said everything was correct and resent it. This time only to be deliver to my front door on August 8th unwrapped in plastic and soaking wet from Tropical storm Debby downpour. I took it back to UPS and they said they did all they could do. They promise to pack and ship “guarantee”, but after having items damaged from being left in rain (in wet cardboard) and it being the second time it was undelivered to its destination I took it to the post office down the road. The post office informed me it would be $82 to send priority mail through them. Such a HUGE cost difference I went back to UPS and asked why such a cost difference ($68 difference in cost since I originally paid $150, so almost double) and I was informed by the manager at UPS that they have an “up charge” at their location. Be aware that if you use this business you may not have your package delivered and you will NOT be reimbursed!!!!

The associate was very hateful and unprofessional. She definitely is having a customer service meltdown and should seek some professional intervention!
Update, The owner and I spoke, and I feel this matter is in the past and was appropriately handled. I certainly plan to continue using that store for my future needs. Please treat each other with respect, and if you experience issues, let them know. The good and the not so good!

Firstly - I had a situation that the rep and I were not on the same page and I got frustrated. I did leave a negative review hoping to hear from the owner. I was able to speak with him and we figured out the issue. In a nutshell we were saying the same thing but from two different perspectives. We were able to figure it out and in doing so I removed my original review and am now leaving this one. I appreciate an owner that is willing to hear me out and figure it out to come to a resolution. Not all do, most are not present at all so when they are they need to be recognized.

I needed assistance and guidance in shipping a desktop computer, with dual monitors, keyboard, headset, and cords. Since I am not a professional shipper, I relied on the expertise of the staff at the UPS store to assist me. I had hoped the staff would not only be able to package the equipment correctly, but also assist me in the process of shipping, insurance, and anything else required to safely ship my equipment. However, Cassidy at the 2014 Electric Rd location failed miserably. I was told my equipment would be split into 2 boxes and I needed to insure the boxes separately, based on the contents of each box. When I asked Cassidy which items would be in each box, the response was, "I don't know." Cassidy would not proceed in the process until I told her how much the insurance amount would be for each box, without knowing what items would be in the boxes?! When I asked if she could offer guidance, or suggest how the boxes may be packed, she just stood there, staring at me. I made the decision to take the equipment to the UPS Store location at 3735 Franklin Road, which ended up being the absolute best decision! The staff was phenomenal! Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and fast service.

Employees there dont even know they're own systems. The lady told me my package was at the post office and after 10 minutes of wasting my time I spotted my package on the counter behind her the whole time they. The same thing happened the next day another package was delivered there but this time they lied and said my package was sent back coincidentally.. but I would never recommend dealing with the ups store on 2014 electric rd Roanoke VA I'm mad I have to give them 1 star they don't deserve that.

Had a quick experience here for an Amazon return today. The two young ladies were very helpful and polite and assisted me in straightening out my return. Great service.

Your website says you do passport photos. I come into the store and get "we ain't do those yet." For wasting my time on a pointless errand, you receive one star. I'll check back in a week, and if your website still says you do passport photos and you still "ain't do those yet," you'll get another one star. Be better to your customers.
