Employee was very nice and professional. Pulled the vehicle to the front of the store for me. Returning the vehicle was very easy and straightforward. He still had a great attitude even though it was late and he was outside working in the rain. I only give a 4/5 because the lot is small.

This experience from the moment we stepped into this location was far from acceptable. The associate that was working, James S., was extremely rude and aggressive. He did not seem to want to help and it seemed more of an inconvenience that we were there to rent equipment. As my mom & family friend are elderly female individuals, this felt very disrespectful, misogynistic and extremely unprofessional. There were several times he would interrupt, or be condescending with his replies. Then the equipment smelt like cigarette smoke, urine and was not tidy. The overall experience was definitely a 2/10. We would encourage appropriate coaching to improve the behavior of this associate as it could potentially ruin someone’s day or prevent further business.

I came to uhaul to day about 5pm (09/01/23) to drop off a trailer I had rented. Pulled into drop off area no 1 was around old man with gray hair that works there comes out has a attitude. About me pulling into dropoff/ return lane(which I have done every time I have rented from there) he spoke very rudely to me about why I had the trailer in the return lane. I asked him where did he want me 2 put the trailer then he wouldn’t say anything goes on 2. Tell me he’s trying 2 be nice to me buddy but goes and unhooks trailer from my truc. Moves it out the way tried to talk with him after and was ignored. I’ve used this location a lot. But I won’t be using it anymore after dealing with that a hole!

They had many sizes of trucks in stock and offered another size when I came in to pick up because I thought I might need a smaller truck. Very nice man, accommodating, took back the boxes I did not use and gave me a refund for them. Was not super persnickety when it came to the return. I've been to other Uhaul places before that will go over the truck with a fine tooth comb before you can leave and will charge you for every little speck of dirt that you may have missed, but not here. The checkout process was quick and easy and they treat their customers like adults, not children.

The boy checking at the check out counter was extremely rude. I wish I had caught his name. He acted like he didn’t want to be there. In the past the U-Haul has been brought to the front for us but this time it was not. My father and I had to go out and look for it. This was after being treated like second class citizens. I think the boy at the counter needs to be spoken with about how to handle people. My best example of this man mistreating us was when he told us a question was going to pop on the pin pad and then acted as though it was our fault that the question never popped up. He got extremely annoyed by the fact we kept asking when it was going to pop up. As for the location it was almost impossible to find the drop box… I was unaware I had to go and drop it off because my phone tracks my location. Overall not the best experience at the shop. The U-Haul ran fine though and I was able to do what I needed to. But overall I would not come back to this location ever again…. It needs better signage and better employees.

The best U-Haul dealer in America!I pulled into this U-Haul because I had a concern about the the way my U-Haul trailer was connected to my vehicle and I had a 5-hour + journey. I had picked up the trailer earlier in the weekend from a dealer in the Blacksburg, VA, area, and my “gut” told me on the trip from Blacksburg, it wasn’t safe.I went into the store and was immediately helped. The staff here is extremely friendly. I explained my concern to a gentleman, who it turns out was the owner. He immediately diagnosed the problem - the ball was the wrong size. I learned a valuable lesson - don’t go to Home Depot - go to U-Haul. For practically the same price, you will get the correct sized ball and piece of mind. In 10-minutes I was on the road and the trailer was easy to pull. We encountered terrible storms on our journey but the trailer was perfect, only my fellow motorists were a problem!

Rented a van to pick up a piece of furniture. Easy to book online and check in for pickup. The person running the counter was so nice - great customer service. Very easy and the vehicle was clean. Highly recommened.

This store (U-Haul) has been the place where I have been treated the worst.This locality is served by its owner, who by the way is a very racist person.He treated me super badly simply because I'm Hispanic; He even treated my daughter's boyfriend badly because he is dark.I notice the contempt that this man has for the Hispanic community and the brown community.They forget that we are not all the same and we are a client who, like any other, is going to pay for their services.I rank it as the worst Roanoke has to offer.

After returning a truck 12 hours early I was told that the card on file would be charged for the mileage overages. I was charged a late fee almost 2 weeks later because “I” didn’t pay it. I didn’t pay it because I was going off what the guy working there told me. They sure wanted extra money but didn’t want to give any back any for returning early. Try calling the number and it’s a 40 minute wait. Recommend looking at other companies.

I made an online reservation for a truck and when I came to pick up the truck the next day staff said he see where I made a reservation but did not have a truck for me. I asked him what's the point of having an online reservation system and it's not guaranteed. Staff went to say online services let you do whatever you want but it's not really guaranteed to get a truck using the online reservation. Avoid making reservations for a uhaul online!!!!
