I should have listened to my gut the minute I walked in. Let's just say NEVER AGAIN. Dogs were never let out of their kennels for 3 days. Save yourself the heartbreak and aggravation. Take them elsewhere.

The owner, Gene is a dog owner and loves dogs and knows how to handle them. I know my dogs have a lot of fun and are well taken care of here. I have a senior dog with arthritis and Gene has a step that she can use when going outside to play. All dogs have their own run. I recommend this kennel for anyone that needs a place for their dog(s) to stay.

There is no better Kennel in Roanoke. It has taken a little bit because we came from an absolutely amazing Boarding/Daycare in PA, and we tried a few places before settling here. But Ruger loves it. He gets excited to come to daycare. He is even adjusting to being boarded. And he doesn't get upset. This from a dog who has always slept in my bed from 12 weeks until just recently. He turns 5 in March. So it has taken a transition period. But mudlick made it smooth.

My experience ended with the very first call. I read reviews where people with Akita‘s took their dogs to him, and they were very pleased with him. I let him know that I had for Akitas and without hesitation, he interrupted me and said I won’t do them.

Gene, the owner of mud lick kennels loves and takes excellent care of the animals in his care. He fosters animals as well. If you are looking for a slick front, marketing expert instead of dog lover, this is not your place. I totally trust my dogs with Gene. My dogs always come back happy and healthy while in his care. When they see him, they go with him like a friend.

Not sanitized at all. Owner seemed a little off. Plus you walk through a dark hallway to the kennels. The kennels were nasty. The only thing that I liked was the way the Kennels were set up. I only gave a 1 because 0 wasn't an option.

We recently boarded our two dogs with Mudlick Kennels. The owner of Mudlick Kennels truly cares about the animals in his care. Mr. Hallenbeck, the owner,is a dog whisperer. My dogs came home healthier and happier then they have ever been from any other kennel. In addition, Mr. Hallenbeck was caring and kind when I had to change our reservation to an earlier date due to upcoming snow. If you want someone with a lifetime of experience who really cares about your pet, this is the place for you versus pretty reception area with cold care. I will definitely be boarding with Mudlick Kennels in the future. Mrs. Wargo

Our dog atayed when we went away for a week. She is usually afraid of stranger's butt she went rofht to the giy whp runs the kennel. They took auch great care of her. Definitly recommends them.
