We have used Kris Layell to buy and sell our home with great comfort in knowing we were in good hands. It is always stressful to buy or sell a home, especially in today’s market but Kris makes the process so much easier. Pete and I would not trust anyone else and hope to use him again in the future.

I highly recommend Kris Layell to anyone looking for a home to purchase in the Roanoke area! He answered all of our questions in a professional manner, and if there was something he couldn't answer immediately, he looked into it and got back to us quickly. Not only is he quite professional, but he's very personable too. He walked us through the entire process, listening patiently to our needs and our concerns and giving honest feedback about the properties we looked at. He definitely looks out for his clients' best interests!

Kris did a great job for us. We were remote from the property being sold, so Kris was very good about visiting the site and advising us of anything needed. Kris engaged with local architects to obtain sample building plans to show to potential customers. When we did get an offer, Kris was an active advocate for positions. This involved meeting with the potential buyers on-site and promptly communicating any questions or requests. At the last minute, a potential deal-breaker condition was identified. Kris negotiated a compromise that included a neighbor to our site and the new owner and the deal was rapidly modified and completed successfully.Strongly recommend Kris for his work ethic, honesty and understanding of the realty market.

My family had a fantastic experience working with Kris when we moved to the Roanoke area from out of state. Kris was responsive, professional and helped us find a home we love. Being out of state buyers we were very nervous being able to see homes the day they were listed, but the way Kris filmed detailed videos of the viewings we felt like we were there in person. I highly recommend choosing Kris as your realtor! He was excellent to work with through the whole buying process.

Kris was AMAZING to work with! I didn't know Kris before this and was put in touch with him by my lending company and I'm so happy they did. In this incredibly tough market he guided my wife and I through the process from half way across the country. Kris was patient when some of our offers weren't accepted and was willing to go do virtual walk throughs with us while we were still in Texas. I can't recommend him enough! Whether local or buying from across the country as your relocate there is no one better!

Kris is an excellent realtor. We found our perfect home after only seeing two homes, he definitely listens to what you are looking for in a new home. Kris is also the most patient person I know. When we had some delays with the sellers he really came through for us to push the deal through so I would not miss deadlines on my end with temporary housing and the relocation of our household goods. Very responsive, professional and will work tirelessly through the repair negotiations. We appreciate his effort and support and will be using him to help sell our other home we just vacated.

My husband and I started the home buying process not knowing anything at all. Kris was recommended to us from a friend who had recently worked with him to find their home. From our first conversation we knew we made the right choice. He was thorough in his questioning, making sure he had the perfect idea of what we were looking for. He got us set up on an email list and the BH app within 24 hours and started sending us listings within hours. He also told us that he never takes on too many clients at once bc he wants to make sure he can be available when each client needs him. He was available, responsive, thorough, and patient with us, especially with our many many questions! He was able to explain everything to us in ways that we could understand and always made sure we had a thorough understanding before making any decisions. Kris knows how to navigate the market, especially with how tricky it is right now! We found our home within 3 weeks of working with him! The process of putting down our offer was a little unique due to a contingency on the current offer but Kris was able to negotiate that for us and we ended up with the house! We have and will continue to recommend Kris to anyone looking to buy a house and will definitely be calling him whenever we need a realtor again!

We hit the jackpot with Kris!! He is a WONDERFUL realtor!!! Above and beyond!! Those are the 2 words I keep thinking of to describe how Kris will work for you in helping you buy or selling your home. He was so experienced and helped us immensely in our search and when it came to finally buying a house, he made sure everything was perfect when we moved in. He went to bat for us so many times and were can't thank him enough.

KRIS went out of his way to communicate with me, the other agents involved, and the title companies to insure a smooth closing. He also kept me in mind when he heard about a washer and dryer for sale because he knew it would help my budget. I appreciated the fact that he really listened and responded to what was important to me. I would definitely work with him again should the need arise in the future and highly recommend him.

My wife and I were relocating to the Roanoke area and Kris was our agent. Over the course of a Saturday and Sunday, Kris showed us over a dozen homes and was able to make some last minute showings work out as well. He was always available, extremely knowledgeable of the area, and made the whole process of relocating a lot less stressful considering all of the issues we were having NOT related to him. Of all the things we had to worry about, Kris was not one of them. He was great to work with and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
