Wanted to visit Roanoke and what better place than a 100+ year old house (apparently was the home of the Mayor at one time). Stayed in a queen bed room, could of been a king with the size of the room. Huge bathroom! Was very quiet and peaceful. Owners are very fun, full of data on the area and the house. Homemade breakfast with juice and coffee was great!Walkability: Walked to a local restaurant, was an easy walk.

This was an amazing experience! My husband and I came down for the Zach Williams concert and stayed here at the King George Inn. The house is absolutely beautiful and amazing! Loved the detail! Jack was so friendly and recommended good places to eat as we had never been to Roanoke before. The room was clean, the sheets were so soft, and the bathroom was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. And Jack made a DELICIOUS breakfast! I feel horrible because his friend was there helping and I can't remember her name but the hospitality was unmatched. Anything we needed and they didn't hesitate. The conversation was lovely and it just felt so homey to be there. Highly recommend and hope to go back some day! Thank you Jack and Jack's friend!

Our room was nice, big, comfy, clean. Lynn is sooooo knowledgeable on the area. She told us about a wonderful place to eat in walking distance. Also we wanted to go to a sports bar later that evening to watch a football game and she told us a wonderful place to go. The breakfast was awesome. Really enjoyed the stay.

We had a lovely stay as we headed back home from a visit to New England. The Inn was comfortable and such a pretty home. Rooms were huge. We had a nice cool night and we had the window opened a bit and was awesome having the fresh air all evening. By the way - we appreciated the ceiling fan and it was nice and quiet too! Squeaky floors - no sneaking around in an old house like this! Pipes banged a bit when you flushed the toilet but I imagine a house that is 120 years old would be expected to have a few unusual noises.Lynn was a wonderful hostess. Jack made a delicious breakfast....a little yogurt with an apple crisp type topping. And scramled egg, a little stewed green tomato and some grits. Very good. My husband loved the tomato....I didn't eat it because I thought it was a pepper!! Oh well! next time! I would only recommend 2 small things....When we first arrived we were asked to sign in at the little guest book and were shown our room but a little insight into the front door operation (like when it was locked, etc) and also when was breakfast served. I did look up breakfast time in my email confirmation. And the other little thing I would say is that the venetian blinds needed a little attending to in the King George Rm. But I would totally stay here again and would recommend the King George B&B to anyone visiting Roanoke.

My mom and I had an excellent visit and would certainly return. Lynn and Jack were exceptionally hospitable and helpful. It was an added plus seeing all of Lynn‘s artwork throughout the B&B and Jack preparing an artistic display of colors and flavors for our custom made breakfast. Staying here was definitely a highlight of our trip.

We enjoyed our time at the King George Bed and Breakfast. Lynn and Jack were awesome. Jack and I had great conversations regarding our heritage. I would definitely visit here if I am in this town. I would stay at this bed and breakfast. We were in Queen Charlotte room, beautiful and elegant with a touch of Victorian England. The staircase alone brings is amazing..

I enjoyed spending time at the King George Bed and Breakfast. Lynn was so kind and provided excellent hospitality. It was great to spend time talking to Jack. If I end up visiting Roanoke again, I would stay at this bed and breakfast. I enjoyed the breakfasts served and the room I stayed in (King George).

Such a fun experience! Small, low key, self run business by Lynn and her husband Jack. Check in was very easy and we were greeted at arrival. Our room was adorable and the nearby city had delicious dinner options. In the morning we were served breakfast by Jack and it was delicious! Thank you Lynn and Jack for the stay! -Sydney & Peter

Lynn is the best hostess!! She really went above and beyond for my husband and I while we stayed for a weekend. She was able to suggest wonderful places to eat and things to do! I would recommend starting here if you are looking for a quiet place to relax. Also, the house is a beautiful piece of history! Her chef is amazing too!!

Excellent in every measure. The hosts, Lynn and Jack, pay attention to detail. The historic house itself is stunning and the breakfast in the morning was top shelf. Lynn’s artwork adds beauty and a sense of place. We couldn't want for more, thank you King George Inn!

We stayed for a night at King George Inn after having backpacked part of the Virginia Triple Crown. It was a very relaxing stay and loved the hospitality of our hosts. Would highly recommend staying here while visiting Roanoke. We will be back!

Lovely historic house in a beautiful neighborhood very close to downtown Roanoke. Lynn the host recommended a really nice bistro for dinner that was within walking distance from the inn. The room was so pretty with tons of character. My only problem with the experience was that I couldn't stay longer to enjoy the gorgeous house more! Breakfast was delicious. Lynn and Jim are great with alot of personality.
