“As a regular of the hotel it is an honor to give my review of my home away from home. It's a beautiful hotel with a personable and classy staff that has very little turnover. The rooms are all being renovated. Almost all rooms done I hear. I really love the renovation but I loved the classic also :).. Obviously the overall heart and warmth of the Hotel Roanoke remains the same. The front and outside still the same beauty of Roanoke I love to see every time I make it to town. The lively bar in the lobby has great drinks and food at night, however my favorite food comes in the morning at their breakfast. See you soon Hotel Roanoke.”

“From the professional and most accommodating Property Manager, Joshua, to its spotless rooms and pretty landscaping, I am very grateful to have been a guest at this property. Not only was any issue, no matter how minor, met with the same or more level of concern (always with urgency), but Joshua always goes above and beyond to make sure every aspect of the stay is quality. I also really appreciate the weekly room service and wonderful housekeeping staff. I am so happy that there had been availability here during this important transition as it was stress-free and so much more like home than I had ever anticipated. Thank you so much!”

“I would like to thank the room attendant Kim who cleaned my room every two days, the young man who cleaned the pool every day and greeted me modestly, and the smiling friends at the reception.”

“This was the third time I've stayed here in recent years, but the first time with family. Really nice hotel in a beautiful hilltop location. Thanks, especially, to Karen at the desk and Tavares ("TV") at the breakfast. All of us had a first-rate stay.

Food and drinks: Excellent breakfast, both menu and buffet, with efficient and friendly staff.”

“I cannot tell you what this family means to me! Six months ago I found out my aunt who lives in Roanoke was in the hospital.. fast-forward I am now her healthcare power attorney and live three hours away. That said I have been to Roanoke many many times (always staying here) and your staff at Marriott makes me feel like I am family! They greet me with smiles and are always so compassionate and ask about my aunt every visit. They go over and beyond and make sure my room is close to the elevator, having the fire pit lit, telling me about long term care facilities in the area that I should research, knowing how I like my coffee, or having beers ready for me with a smile on their face when I walk up to the bar. They really make my stressful trips so much more bearable when I get back to my safe place because of their love and compassion! Thank you - you know who you are! I pray for you too!”

“Wanted to visit Roanoke and what better place than a 100+ year old house (apparently was the home of the Mayor at one time). Stayed in a queen bed room, could of been a king with the size of the room. Huge bathroom! Was very quiet and peaceful. Owners are very fun, full of data on the area and the house. Homemade breakfast with juice and coffee was great!Walkability: Walked to a local restaurant, was an easy walk.”

“Stayed here in the Captain's Office room, had a great time and really enjoyed the room and ambiance. Great location to hit downtown, but also very quiet. The common area was amazing as well with lots of room and seating. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had.”

“Again very nice people. Very attentive. Cleaning crew on point. A little wear, but kept up to par. One of the staff even offered to drop us off to the mechanic on her way home! Thank you so much. We will surely always use a Choice Hotel.

Rooms: Clean spacious rooms. Neatly set up with all that is needed for your stay.

Food & drinks: Breakfast was abundant with lots of choices. Cleaned and refilled throughout the morning.”

“I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The room was impeccably clean and well-organized. Ahmad, the General Manager, and the entire staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Their exceptional service made my visit truly enjoyable.”

“I don't know. Some of the reviews I read seemed a bit harsh. This is an above average hotel. While there are some general maintenance and cleanliness issues, overall, it's pretty good. The pool was nice and warm, and that was appreciated by my kids. Staff at the front desk was pleasant and accommodating.

I'm a World of Hyatt Globalist, and believe me, I've stayed at some very disappointing hotels. This one isn't fantastic, but it's (as I said already) pretty good.

The restaurant choices nearby are pretty good, too.”

“The staff was great to deal with especially the gentleman serving in the front desk! He was so friendly and proud of his work. Definitely a good attitude! Our room had comfortable beds and good linens. Plenty of parking
It was a good place to stay

“Hotel is right by the Valley View Mall & many surrounding places to shop & eat. Rooms were a little outdated, but cute and clean. You can tell they are trying to become more modern. The staff up front was super helpful. Hotel is a bit outdated. No complimentary breakfast. Lobby area is pretty weak. No hotel computer or printer. Not the greatest hotel for a business trip, but doable.”

“Our room was quite large and accommodated our party quite nicely. The bar in the shower prevented falls and was utmost appreciated. Although we were near the airport, the sound was barely noticeable. Our stay was expensive but delightful, especially the complimentary breakfasts.

Food and drinks: Our party looked forward to selecting from the wide variety of breakfast foods, especially the scrambled eggs and bacon. The look of satisfaction on the faces of hotel guests added to the delightful atmosphere.”

“I've been in a bunch of hotels for work this week, this one was clean and well maintained. One of the better ones I've been in. With the price being around 100$ for a single bed for one night, definitely worked out well. Real helpful guy up front and I was in-out the office in 5 minutes. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely use this location.”

“Stayed here after Rutgers vs Virginia Tech game. Place was clean. Staff was super friendly and willing to help. Especially Jermaine at the Breakfast Buffef. He struck up conversations with everyone and made sure you had everything you needed. There was a Romance Novel convention going on that was well organized. Two vastly different groups there at the same time made for a unique experience in itself. I would definitely go back and stay again the next time in the area.”

“It's changed a lot from when I stayed almost 10 yrs ago. It is a lot better. Remodeled rooms and just better. Staff is friendly and helpful. I like staying here. Good for people on a fixed income, it won't take all your money. The price stated is the price paid.

Rooms: Clean with tiled floors. Clean, bug free beds. Clean bathrooms with a tub that is easy for this 69 yrs old woman to get in and out of.

Walkability: A bus stop is at the entrance. A restaurant in in front of the motel. Everything is in walking distance or getting a bus is easy.”

“My stay was absolutely perfect, the room was clean and completely quiet even as busy as the weekend was. The gym had a brand new pelaton bike, and breakfast was fantastic. Staff was SO friendly, would 10/10 recommend.”

“It was great for what it was. Price was reasonable for a 2 room suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch bed. When they came in to clean the room after the first night, the cleaning staff even tucked in my son's stuffie. :) He got a kick out of that. I did too. Nothing fancy about the hotel, but it was a clean, comfortable place to stay with room enough for three people in separate beds.”

“We went to the United States for two months. I can tell you that the best chain at a reasonable price is Days Inn, always clean and spacious. They have one disease.”
