The sales Representative Susan Painter and the Move Team were responsive and efficient. They were all very professional, friendly and made me feel comfortable and confident they would take good care of my household items. I would highly recommend!

The only reason I’ll give it two stars is because of Antonio the driver. He was so nice and worked very hard with absolutely no help. The estimator was nice. The move coordinator Hailey was helpful along the way, but the supervisor, Michelle, didn’t respond to the driver’s request to send me a claim form. I’m quite sure the dining table they damaged will never be repaired or compensated with this shoddy service. God only knows what else they damaged when I unload the storage unit. The load in movers, although very nice guys, were not careful and things got damaged, including floors and walls in the house. No pads laid down, no padding on the doors as Allied indicates there will bes. The unload contracted people were an hour late and barely worth a dime. They got everything in the storage unit but were stacking bookcases on top of crushed boxes marked fragile. When I questioned it he told me to butt out and “what did I do for a living?” For the amount of money they charge, this was a huge no. Very few movers have good reviews, but try someone else. I heard good things about Allied generally but was disappointed with Dunmar in this case.

Had a great moving experience from Florida to Virginia. Our driver, Angel, was terrific. Everything moved and accounted for. No damage to either home or furniture that I can tell. We are grateful for a smooth process!

We have used Dunmar twice and both times everyone involved has been beyond exceptional. Our family has moved more times than I care to admit. Dunmar by far knows how to do it right and the best. Moving is stressful but Dunmar makes it so it doesn’t have to be. Susan, Michelle, and Beth made pricing and coordinating easy and efficient (Forgive me if I missed anyone!! You all are so valued by us!!!) They communicate with you throughout the entire process. Also, even more important they promptly respond! I can’t tell you how many moving companies take your deposit and disappear or all of a sudden you cannot reach anyone.A special and heartfelt thank you to James and his crew who have moved us both times. They are beyond phenomenal!! They are professional, efficient, and accommodating. They truly go above and beyond. My daughter loves to help and the entire team was very sweet in letting her feel she was helping.Dunmar has become more than just “another moving company” to our family. They are our family movers who help save our sanity and provide peace of mind during a stressful enough time. Thank you Dunmar and team. See you again in a year or so!! :)

The Dunmar team was spectacular! Mike, Newby, and Dana were professional, polite, easy to work with and we enjoyed having them with us on the day of packing. The day we moved Mike and Newby worked well to get everything loaded in a timely manner. The day of arrival Mike and Cody (I'm not sure if I'm spelling this name correctly) were efficient, professional, and put everything where we thought it should be placed for unpacking. Thank you Susan and Beth as well. You two were easy to work with and understanding my financial and interstate move goals. Job well done to the Roanoke/Richmond Dunbar Team!!!

Just completed a move from Virginia to Florida with the help of Dunmar Moving Systems. Right from the very first contact by phone, details came together and my level of stress went down. The crews were prompt, professional and hard working. Trucks were clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of moving services, especially long distance moving which is very stressful.

Moved in September. While I have no complaints about the professionalism of the movers I do have complaints regarding lack of attention to my concerns and lack of ability to repair specific damages. Major damage was done to my piano when it was dropped off of the moving board. I suspect this happened because the movers were hurrying. It was the day before a holiday weekend and they started late because their truck broke down. This was in September. It is now almost February and the repair is still not complete. I worked my way down the chain requesting specific help for this repair to no avail. In addition, the piano was not assembled correctly and I was told to pay for the re assembly out of pocket, which I did. As yet, no reimbursement has come my way for my current out of pocket expenses.UPDATE: Since this review, a scheduled repair with a local and reputable piano repair service is in the works. I truly appreciate this quick response. However, I am going to make the suggestion that consumers make themselves aware of who they are dealing with -- local or national at all points of the move. At some point, as I worked the long chain of people I began dealing with impersonal and unresponsive individuals at the national level who would not call me when I had concerns. At what point this occurs is unclear and the consumer should not have to figure this out. While I am grateful to have this important repair scheduled I would also make the suggestion that at the local (and national) level there be some follow-up with the consumer to see IF repairs and remediation has occurred. No one in the five months following our move contacted us to ask for an evaluation of the move itself or the aftermath. Our only point of contact was with a disreputable repair sub-contractor who was not even an employee of Allied. (Which is also never really made clear). I added a star to this rating to reflect this update. Would I use this company again? I would be wary of Allied in general... just bad experiences but I would give the local company, Dunmar another chance.

Received email that someone (not posting his name) was supposed to be here 10/16/20 at 11:00 am per email. By 11:15 no one here. I call and get manager on phone. I get yelled at by him with unnecessary comments. Its 12:12 as I write this review and still no contact.

We received our household goods from Europe through Dunmar. The appointment was setup sooner than I expected, to my relief. I was impressed by the professional and friendly team. They showed up on time, helped unpack the items we needed and took back the boxes we managed to empty. In our many years of moving, this has been one of the best experiences. Thank you to the well-oiled team from Roanoak!
