We absolutely LOVE Dr. O'Dell and the entire Brandon Animal Hospital team. They are punctual, professional and very thorough. They have checked in post-appointments via text message and that was so helpful and really gives us peace of mind.
My dog has some fear/anxiety around vet visits and being handled by strangers. It was a breath of fresh air watching Dr. O'Dell handle my dog using force free, fear free methods. If you have a sensitive/fearful dog like I do, I cannot recommend Dr. O'Dell enough! He is kind, thoughtful and obviously values animals emotional needs just as much as their physical needs. Thank you, Dr. O'Dell!

After having a wonderful vet who came to our home for our dogs, I was very worried to take our anxious husky to a vet clinic. In the past, to visit unfamiliar places, she has been sedated, restrained, and pulled out from under benches and chairs just out of pure fear (she is a rescue with a rough past). Today’s appt was like magic. They agreed to let me bring both dogs for back to back appts (our husky does so much better taking cues from our other dog). Dr O’Dell got her occupied on treats and administered all three vaccines without her even noticing. It was such a great experience. Can’t recommend them enough.

THE best vets ever. If I need a same day emergency they are there. Everyone from the front desk to the docs are the best and they care. I love Dr Wilson because she has done so much for my dog baby and Chrissy still loves her more then anyone. Can’t ask for better care. We love you all so much!

Four months ago I took in an abandoned cat. I called Brandon Animal Hospital to check him and make sure he was ok around my other 2 cats. After testing and clean bill of health from the very kind vet and staff I took my big boy home. He was a wonderful loving cat. Yesterday he seemed off a bit but I went to work. My son texted me he was having trouble breathing. As soon as I could I got home
I called Brandon Hospital. They were very busy but said bring him right away . I did and as soon as I walked in they took him back. They gave him oxygen and asked to take an X-ray to see what was going on. After a while the vet showed me the X-ray and a picture of a heathy cats x-rayed heart. Marty's wasn't right. She said she wasn't sure exactly what was wrong but he had a heart problem and possibly lung issues. She said he couldn't live without constant oxygen and even if I took him to ER vet, I would spend thousands on him and most likely he would just suffer and most likely die anyway . Because he was originally a stray and I had no idea how old he was or what kind of life or care he had in the past, I decided to let Marty go. The vet and staff were so caring all the way through. They let me say goodbye privately, and hold him while he died. Then they offer cremation or asked if I wanted to take him home and bury him. I took him home. They put him in a nice box with his name and a heart on it. This horrible and sad situation was made better by these wonderful caring professionals. I appreciate their honesty and their sympathy. All my animals in future will go here. This hospital is a small but caring place. Nobody trying to just get more money out of you because they know how much we love our furry babies no matter how they come into our lives. Thank you to all who work here.

***EDIT: Dean the manager reached out personally and informed me that they work with a 3rd party for cremation services. Although they do have an example of the urn in the office, they do not have a digital option for folks who book over the phone or online chat. What I received is also WILDLY different than what they have as an example in house. Deana assured me he will be reaching out to the third party to understand why they changed the urn option. I also want to note I received the kindest gesture from Brandon Animal Hospital. A condolences card signed by every staff member (who also each wrote a kind note about our pup). This was such a lovely gesture and I appreciate the kindness.Dean was so sincere and empathetic in his email and it is something I am grateful for and he handled the situation with such grace.***—Dr. Wilson is absolutely incredible, we weren’t patients there long because we had to put our sweet girl down. Dr Wilson came to our home and made it so personable and it was exactly what we needed. Throughout my pup’s care she was so kind and empathetic to our situation. I would recommend this place for your pets services and would absolutely recommend Dr Wilson. However, I did have to take 2 stars away. When we were told about the “packages” for the cremation of our pup, we were told the premium package included “an urn with the animal’s ashes and a clay paw print”. One would assume that the urn would be a nice actual looking urn, with curves, ornate top, etc. and the clay paw print, one would assume it would be your pet’s paw print, something to remember them by…nope. The “urn” was a tin can with rainbows on it, it looks like something from the dollar store and the clay paw print was a generic paw print with (I’m sorry) an very tacky, singular rhinestone next to it. The thought is sweet but for $128 I expected something much nicer to memorialize my fur baby. I came home in tears and my husband ended up buying a box on Amazon and getting a plaque customized for it. We shouldn’t have had to do this. I’ve included a picture of the “urn” and paw print.
