Omg this school is absolutely amazing. A special teacher here named Mrs g. Bishop has literally helped me thru everything and has had a huge impact on my life. If you are scared to go back to school like I was please just go. It has opened so many doors for me.

Amazing organization! To serve so many with little staff. Calmness in the chaos! Thank you all for keeping America rolling. But a note to the students on day 3 of the Fall Semester 8 23 2023, 0830am, when the book store opens...be respectful to who was 1st in line , i was holding the door like a gentleman should and to see the lack of consideration revealed and by the time i got through the door and to the counter 3 of the nursing students were being waited on. Thank God for the 2nd member showed up. Recognizing my place in line from where the sign said line forms here, while there was other students still forming all the other side. Thanks again!

No tracking with my books I order over 2 weeks ago.l and still are not here. You can't ever get ahold of anyone in there. I've been calling for the past 3 days and no answer. Your a joint venture school with schools way out of your area. Do better.

The cashier had an attitude problem; she would barely talk to me, let alone make eye contact. Bookstore is only open from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, when most people are at work. No practical time to come and make returns/exchanges. Everything is overpriced.

I love this campus. It's beautiful. My classes have been great so far too (3 semesters). I recommend researching your prof before signing up for a class to be sure they'll be a good match for you and your learning style as a student.

I never write reviews but my experience warranted me to. I've attended Virginia Western 4 years now and it's been a delightful experience. Today I went in to get books. The girl helping me although very kind and professional told me incorrectly how many books I needed, luckily I knew and that was easily fixed. She couldn't give me an estimated timeframe on a book coming in but instead of asking just kept saying she wasn't sure. All in all she was pleasant though. Fast forward for check out time. Kenesha was rude. No hello. No thank you. Very mechanical. Asked how much is left on my financial aide and ignored my question. Just very short. Again I never write reviews but I've always had such a good experience here I was shocked it was just plain terrible this time.

Nice and clean, but I was denied the option to rent my books which they do now, all because I was not rich enough to have a bank account. I had my VISA and my Direct Express Master card which my disability funds are deposited on my account every month. I felt like I was a victim of bias and denied services that everyone gets except for students who are not affluent.

Book was back ordered due to circumstances out of my control. I was told I could use FA to cover my book and now they are giving me the runaround about using my FA to purchase a book. This was after telling me I could use FA to do so. We are college students most of us don’t have $100s to pay out of pocket for books. This is very disheartening as a student just trying to get a education with people who work at the school only making it harder.

The bookstore for Virginia Western is very often busy especially at the beginning of the school year. However they always seem to make time for you and see that you're helped. They are friendly and although the price of books can't be helped their prices on snacks and other small things are very reasonable unlike most college bookstores.
