I’ve been buying furniture (multiple sofas & chairs, love seats, 2 grandfather clocks, and more) from Better Sofas since they were located on Brambleton Avenue, doing business as Mostly Sofas, nearly 30 years ago. They have the best selection of quality sofas and every other type of furniture in the area (and that includes Green Front in Farmville), but even more importantly, Better Sofas treats customers with the utmost respect and concern for complete satisfaction. Owners Jeff and Colby Rorer are in a class of their own when it comes to integrity. Recently, I purchased some furniture that was made to order according to my selections, but the manufacturer’s finish varied from the color I had chosen. Colby assured me he would solve the problem to ensure I was happy with the outcome, and he certainly did. I sincerely believe that no other furniture store- either locally or nationally- would have taken the extraordinary steps Colby did to completely resolve my concerns. I cannot endorse Better Sofas and their business practices highly enough. They’ve ensured that I’m a customer for life.

Colby and his dad were so pleasant and helpful while we were choosing new dining chairs. I felt a nice balance between being able to browse on my own and get my questions answered in a timely manner. We will definitely be coming here for our next furniture purchase as well!

Better Sofas is AMAZING!! What I got with shopping locally at Better Sofas was TOP NOTCH 100% SERVICE and a TOP QUALITY sectional. So comfy. So solid. Perfectly upholstered.First, there was the shopping experience. I went there twice before I actually purchased and both times got a lot of information about how their product line would meet my preferences and situation. Shannon was awesome and the selection process was practically effortless. I couldn't find anything anywhere else that I thought was comparable in look and quality for any less, and it was exactly what I wanted.The second concern ... and this is where they knocked it out of the park ...... was this was going to a second floor living room in an old house where there are stairs with a landing and a turn half way up. It is NOT an easy delivery of anything large. I told Shannon about my concern of ordering something that would not fit, and I wanted to maximize the size of this sectional. She was like, no problem, we'll send out our delivery specialist and he will take a look at it with the sofa specs and whatever he says is pretty much guaranteed the way it will go. If not, they would not make me accept the sectional. Austin came out, nicest guy you'll ever want to meet, and came back with a "can do" attitude. He was certain it was going to deliver. Sure enough, when the sofa was ready they came out and got it delivered. It wasn't easy, but they were completely professional and got it up the stairs without hurting the sofa or my house. I can't tell you how appreciative I was for the way Better Sofas handled EVERYTHING about this purchase. 100% professional from start to finish. Everyone pleasant, helpful and friendly.

We loved our experience with Better Sofas! Jeff was our salesperson and he was kind and courteous and respectful from the start and throughout the process! When I explained that we didn’t have a lot of leftover funds after our move, he immediately showed me what he had in our price range without making me feel bad. He was so helpful and we love the sofa we ended up with! We know we could have paid a little less at other area furniture stores but what we bought was high quality and will last forever! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good, high quality furniture at fair prices where you will be treated kindly.
