Service is awful…simply put… from setting an appointment to picking up once the problem is diagnosed/ fixed. The “short staffed” excuse is over-used to excuse their efforts.

The sales department was fine, but the service department is awful. I recommend you do not buy a new car from them because if there are problems you will have frustration trying to get an appointment, long waits to get repairs, lack of communication, and improperly done repairs. I had a warranty repair last year that was not repaired properly on the first attempt and then took 7 months for them to finally get it done. All that time I was driving around with a check engine light on. Now I have had an even more major issue where the car engine would shut off while we were driving. The first time they tried to repair it ,the problem happened again a couple days after I picked up the car! Inexcusable that on such a huge safety issue they didn't fix it right. So the car sat at the dealer for another 7 weeks waiting for a new transmission. Now I got the car back and there is a noise when I accelerate. I have called but they don't call me back. They never even test drove the car after putting in the new transmission to make sure it was working properly, I know this because the mileage was the same when I picked the car up as when I dropped it off 7 weeks prior. Horrible customer service.

Google did not allow me to submit a new review; I could only make edits to my existing one. Surprisingly, less than 24 hours after posting my review, the general manager contacted me. During our conversation, he expressed his displeasure with my review and seemed puzzled by my reasons for leaving it. Unfortunately, my concerns, which date back to when I initially dropped off my vehicle on August 31st, remain unresolved.I genuinely believe the manager attempted to persuade me to delete my review, insinuating that it could negatively impact the service manager. I must clarify that it is not my intention to cause repercussions for Berglund's employees due to the company's business practices. My review was prompted by my dissatisfaction with the service I have received.I was informed that I could retrieve my vehicle on September 23rd while waiting for backordered parts to arrive. However, upon arriving at the dealership, I encountered an unexpected issue - my vehicle refused to start. It had been functioning perfectly when I initially brought it in for service. Curiously, nobody could provide an explanation for the sudden issue. When I arrived, I noticed that the hood was already raised, suggesting that they were aware of the problem but chose not to inform me. They jump-started my vehicle and assured me that everything was fine.Regrettably, my vehicle now refuses to start again, leaving it stranded at my home. I have made over 20 calls to the dealership today in an attempt to inform them of this situation, but none of my calls were answered. It is disheartening that I must resort to leaving reviews to initiate communication.Berglund Chrysler needs to address this situation promptly and rectify the ongoing issues.Original review:I have received the worst experience from this dealer's service department. I made an appointment back on 8/31/2023 to get my vehicle serviced. today is 9/21 and i still have not gotten my vehicle back. every time i call to try and make sense of what is going on i experience headache and nightmare. Nobody wants to answer the phone. The service advisors are there to be customer advocates and i never can get customer service from them. my phone right now shows that i have called 23 times today alone and nobody wants to answer the phone or return my call. When i am finally able to speak to someone i get the run around and promised the next action they take will get my vehicle taken care of. i patently wait and then i don't hear anything. as a customer i have to call and fight to speak with someone to get an update. Nobody has the courtesy to tell me there was a delay or if they got caught up doing something else. Excuse after excuse. I have been walking over an hour to and from work since the 31st. The dealer did not want to pay for a rental through enterprise and had to get a Chrysler rep to cover it. always pushing blame on someone else. I am being punished as a customer. I have never been treated this way by First Team. If First team had a Chrysler dealership i would have went there. They offer a rental car the day i make an appointment not after i have already been inconvenienced.

Service Dept said they used conventional oil when Jeep calls for synthetic. I have to get service out of Roanoke because Berglund Jeep can't be trusted.

Dropped my car off first thing in the morning and didn’t hear back all day about it. I called the service line multiple times, left voicemails, still nothing. Finally I showed up to the dealership an hour before they closed and they let me know my car hasn’t been looked at.That today their diagnosis system is down for half the day and they are understaffed. This is reasonable and I completely understand, but it’s a matter of nobody had the decency to call and let me know or at least answer my phone calls to give me an update. And if I was one of the early appointments, they couldn’t of have had one technician look at it in the hours the diagnosis system was up?They also have a poster hung up of the cost to replace parts. They listed the alternator as $1000. I’ve had my alternator done for $200. So bear all of that in mind when coming here for service. Also! I was booked out 2 weeks for this “appointment.”

My wife brought her Wrangler to Berglund Jeep 2 weeks ago for a noise she was hearing. They diagnosed this noise as a bad right rear caliper. They quoted us $1095 for repair of the one caliper! Then quoted another $1,245 for services "due to mileage". This Jeep has 76k miles on it... not sure that it needs $1,200 worth of routine maintenance. We deferred service because the price was insane... they charged her $200 for the diagnosis! When we took it another mechanic (who replaced BOTH rear calipers for $340), the lug socket for her wheels was not in the Jeep. She left voice-mail's for a week and sent an email with zero response. I called today and left a message and finally got a call back only to be told that wheel never had to be removed for the diagnosis, so they do not have our wheel key. So, they're telling me that the wheel key that was there when it went to the shop but not there when it came out isn't their responsibility as well as telling me that we paid $200 for a brake diagnosis that didn't even require taking the wheel off. Zero Customer service, zero accountability, and prices are insane!! I got both calipers replaced for a 1/3 of the cost that they wanted to replace one. If you choose to go this shop, you have way more time, patience, and money that I have.

A lack of communication on Tyler's part. When I told Tyler, I am deaf and I provide two different numbers, one for VRS and one for text, he claimed he texted me but never received it. The truck didn't fox very well. The right headlight kept flashing and didn't stay on. Tyler says they don't see anything wrong with it, and I told them Berglund foxed that issue two years ago, but Tyler says it works as it should.The truck still has issues with high acceleration and bumpy ride. Also, the truck did not perform well at red lights. I paid almost $6k for this and I don't even know why I paid so much. I got a ticket by the police for my right headlight flash when I asked them to fix that issue. I felt like they didn’t listen to me at all.

I have called 3 times for service. I left a message on the first try, which happened to be last week, but no one ever returned my call. I tried twice today to no avail. I even tried calling the appointments desk and “0” for the operator only to be answered by a recording. This isn’t the first time this has happened at this location for me either. Not a fan.

The staff is friendly and overall it was a good experience. The sales people are not very pushy which is always nice. The two negatives are when we traded in our Range Rover Discovery Sport they claimed they couldn't pay as much because they weren't the Land Rover dealer and that they wouldn't just send it down there. Well, they didn't reset the tracking of it so I open my app a couple days later and well...it was at the Land Rover dealership. Not really mad because I saw that coming but they still should just be honest. Secondly, their parts department was supposed to order a part I wanted for my new Dodge Durango we bought from them. They told me it was backordered so it would be a while. Yeah they never called so clearly it was never ordered. We are happy with our Durango and the price we paid. Anytime we have it serviced there they are quick and friendly. We might go there again for our next vehicle purchase but I will say from my experience if you are willing to drive a few hours you can normally find better deals.

Yesterday I tried to make a service appointment. I must have called 5 times... Never with abc answer. The phone kept saying that my call couldn't go through. So I pressed the number for parts. Twice I got a quick answer asking me to hold. Then nobody ever came back. I figured someone would certainly answer in sales and I was right. I explained what had happened and he assured me that he'd get a message to service and someone would call me back shortly. I never received a call.

I purchased a 2019 ram 1500 certified pre-owned from berglund dodge. My sales person was Eric Jennings. Eric was a great gentleman to work with. He was very polite and helped me thru the entire process. I felt very comfortable buying a vehicle from him and the dealership. I traveled 3 hours to purchase my new to me truck from Eric. I could not say anything better about him and the dealership very professional and polite. I would 100% recommend this dealership to anyone. I wish they were closer to home Soni could bring my vehicles to them for services.THANKS AGAIN BERGLUND DODGE IT WAS A PLEASURE!!!
