2012 when I first came to Belmont it was a very traditional southern Baptist Church. Which I love! Through out the years I have seen Belmont transform into this beautiful multiethnic congregation full of love. I've seen the children's ministry flourishes with youngsters and babies. How they learn and worship God. I've seen the student ministry grow from 3 to over 30 plus. Our Youth is called Rooted and we have such a close family relationship with one another, I couldn't be prouder to serve on the leadership team. I've seen amazing people come and go from Belmont. We're a church that loves God and loves one another. We Worship as a family and we serve the community with some good southern hospitality. We have been blessed with such a beautiful building. If you know someone from Roanoke,Va there is a good chance they’ve heard of Belmont.Every one is welcomed from all walks of life and every generation. Preaching Gods word since 1901 at the red doors of Stewart and 9th. To all our team leaders, thank you. Come and join our family, let's praise God together!!What to expect on Sunday: someone to greet you at the door, directions given by all, Sunday school classes that you don’t want to miss, safe childcare, meeting teens that love God and want to serve you, coffee in the library, friendly faces and family love to all who walk through the door, worship by our awesome team, and a sermon that will leave you to connect with God throughout the week. Also please join us on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 to hangout with our Youth ministry Rooted. Come be with a family of teens who love God. All are welcomed.

My long search for a diverse and Christ-centered church ended the first time I stepped through Belmont's red doors! Pastor Jon along with our elders and deacons, group leaders, and entire church family are very welcoming, caring, and authentic. Plus, our community groups, discipleship program, and ministry teams offer varied and fun opportunities to engage with each other frequently while we're serving God and learning how better to follow Jesus. Come visit us soon!

Belmont Baptist Church is an incredible family of believers who come from many different cultural/ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. This growing body of believers does an incredible job following the Gospel commission of reaching out into the community around the city of Roanoke and other farther-reaching locations, showing the love of Christ and drawing those who do not know Him, into His family. The congregation of Belmont is made up of real people facing real issues, walking together in Christ, and seeking for Him to lead, stretch, and grow each of them individually. While the church building itself has been in place for over 100 years, a recent merger has brought together two church families into one. Throughout the transition, there have been many changes and advancements in the church, however, it is still working out some of the kinks on the technical side of things and is in the process of updating its technology in order to better reach people of all ages.Overall, Belmont is an incredible representation of the diversity in the Kingdom of God and those in leadership at the church do an amazing job helping to guide the congregation and each other in their walks with Christ.

My Family and I have been worshiping with Belmont for the past year and from the first day to now it has felt like home and like a glimpse of heaven. Prior to finding Belmont doing "church as usual" had left me feeling tired and discouraged. Since coming home to Belmont God has greatly blesssd our family through the people, the worship and the teaching in ways that have been both encouraging and challenging- just as life with Christ should be. It's also the only congregation that we have worshiped with in our area that is truly diverse; racially, generationally and socio-economically. It's a place that attracts believers and seekers of all backgrounds and makes us all feel welcome in our differences while seeking to unite us in faith in Christ. This is done through sound biblical teaching presented with humility and grace.

We’ve been at Belmont for about 1.5 years now and are grateful to God for leading us here. This church is full of imperfect people that acknowledge a perfect Savior, namely Jesus Christ. We love the diversity, sincerity, and outward-focus of the pastor and congregation. We have each joined small groups that have given us some much needed encouragement and accountability. If you’re looking for a church that is full of truth and love for Jesus, Belmont is the place to be!

We love the diverse and friendly atmosphere at Bellmont. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. I enjoy hearing Pastor Jon bring the message from the Bible and relate it to everyday life, while at the same time giving challenges and encouragement to grow in your Christian walk.

Belmont Baptist is a wonderful church! One thing that I love is that this church is richly diverse between age and race. It's a beautiful depiction of what the body of Christ is. The members there are genuine, warm, supportive, and inviting. The worship is amazing, and most importantly the word that's preached is rooted in biblical truth, is applicable and easy to understand. I would absolutely recommend this church!
